So, here we start!! I mixed up 2 tbsp (4 TSP as above!!) per gallon of living soils grow, 2 tbsp per gallon of wormcast, 1 tbsp of frass per gallon with biobizz lightmix and some extra perlite with a small amount of TNC mycorrmax which was placed in the hole as a nice comfy bed for the seeds to wake up in, plant seeds direct into the substrate with some plain un-ph'd water, now it's time to wait till they arrive (fingers crossed!!!)
So I missed a week, with the issues of grow diaries not allowing me to add a week or photos, so skip week 1, so changes have been made during week 1, only 2 of the BCN power plants germinated and now being accompanied by 1 X BCN critical XXL auto. Throughout the first week all I have done is kept the top of the soil moist and allowed the seedling to take root, this week (week 2) all 3 have had their first full drench with ecothrive biosys at 1g per litre, and then continue to spray the top of the soil to keep it moist. Today they have had their first top dressing of living soils fertilizers grow at 1 tbsp per gallon of media, this should now be enough food for another 2 weeks
So not much has changed this week the girls have gotten a little bigger and had their once a week treat of ecothrive biosys at 1g per litre. SHOULD start to see some serious growth happening in the next week! Although power plant (2) is looking a bit of a runt, she how she gets on. With the whole watering per plant above, I don't have a set watering schedule or set amount of water I give, the plants will let you know want they want, just keep them happy!
So this week just continued to water when needed, the girls have had their once a week treat of ecothrive biosys, and 2 tbsp per gallon (4 TSP per gallon) of living soils wormcast. Some nice side branching is starting to happen, more noticeably the BCN Power Plant, the runt BCN power plant (2) has now caught up and is looking good. Should start to see some stretch in the next week or so. Still not made my mind up yet if I'm going to train them or let them grow au-naturale, see how they progress over the next week.
So this week things have started to progress towards flower, it kind of snuck up on me!! The girls have had an extra feed this week to prep for the additional p & k that they are going to require very shortly. I added 1 tbsp per gallon of living soils frass and grow to see it through the stretch period and 1 tbsp per gallon of living soils bloom for the extra p & k with the usual once a week treat of ecothrive biosys at 1g per litre and things seem to be coming along nicely, time to keep my eye out for the calmag deficiencies
This week we have a bit of stretch and now in flower, they have had their once a week treat of ecothrive biosys at 1g per litre, I also gave calmag when watering as I noticed yellowing leafs (look to bottom of the plants on the pictures) these leafs will be left on the plant until they are completely dead, then I will remove them, there is no point removing them yet as the plant will just start draining other leafs until I get the Cal and mag in and the plants are happy
Ok so this week, lots of stretch!! Once stretching has finished, I will bring out the old books to raise BCN power plant 1 (the small one) to even out the canopy. They have had a little haircut at the bottom, following this I gave them 1ml per litre of biobizz alg-a-mic and topmax for some stress relieve, they have had their once a week treat of ecothrive biosys, this is the last time they are having wormcasts, and when the stretching stops we will start to transition into living soils bloom 2
So this week we have seen some more stretch, the critical xxl currently stands from soil to canopy at 35 inch, power plant 2 (the original runt) stands at 30 inch and power plant 1 stands at 21 inch. I have done some more defoliation to the lower part of the plants, buds seem to be stacking nicely although I noticed some yellowing of leaves on the power plant 1 (see photos), I'm presuming this is a phosphorus issue which will hopefully sort itself out with the bloom and bloom 2 from living soils, which is going to be applied in the next few days and maybe a little boost of biobizz bloom while the organic material breaks down, apart from that the girls have had their once a week treat of ecothrive biosys at 1g per litre.
Ok I have spent a lot of time in the garden this week, correcting deficiencies which seem to have slowed now! I gave them their top dress of 2 tbsp per gallon of living soils bloom and 2 tbsp per gallon of living soils bloom 2 early and gave them a boost of bio bizz bloom to get some p and k in there while the organic nutrients break down, hence some burnt tips. Santa was nice this year, brought them a new light, so out came the Mars hydro eco 49 and in went the viparspectra p1000 - no more blurple!! The girls have had their once a week treat of ecothrive biosys at 1g per litre. ***Note to self hit the bloom earlier next time on autos!***
Ok so this week we have our very own game show, Name the deficiency!!! Some are old leaves that are just not going to get any better, with the spread looking like it has stopped, I hope!! Thinking now I'm just gonna limp these over the line and see what we get, maybe a load of extract!! But all jokin aside, Living Soils Fertiliser have THE BEST customer service I have EVER come across, an example of this was on the 2nd January at 8.30pm (a Saturday night) I reached out via email to the guys at living soils thinking I may get a response in a few days ish, but 3 minutes later I got an email back from them, guiding me through where I had made mistakes, they even looked at my diary here and come back to me with additional advise!! Money can not buy that sort of customer service, keep doing what you are doing living soils very impressive. Any more experienced organic growers here with any advise to get these girls over the line would be greatly appreciated, thanks
So this week just plain water, they have had their once a week treat of ecothrive biosys, also decided that I'm going to limp these over with the rest of the biobizz bottles I have and start again next run. The smell is getting stronger now, and the buds seem to be fattening up and coming along
This week I have switched to biobizz nutes to get them over the line!! Still deficiencies but that's not going to change now, the buds are putting some weight on and the trichomes are coming along, probably looking at another week for the power plant and 2 weekish for the critical xxl before I start the flush.
This week the power plant has had her last feed and will now start her flush, the critical xxl will continue to be fed for at least another week yet. The buds on the power plant are really begining to put the wait on now, the critical xxl still has some more to give yet, I hope!! The smell has started to intensify, there is a very hazy citrous smell at the moment.
Veg was a breeze, however my mistake at the start of flower wouldn't have helped the end product, she is an easy growing girl and put up with all the crap I threw at her. She has a city's hazey smell at the moment. She did start to foxtail towards the end put what can you do, she didn't have the best second half! Thanks for everyone who has stopped by, commented and liked, it's appreciated, thanks to livingsoils for their help and guidance. I don't weigh my plants, I'm more of a jar man, basically if I have 2 full jars I'm happy
As you can see, she got a little too heavy for her branches towards the end. Trichomes are about 10% amber so hopefully some good smoke coming my way!!
