I'm at week 6 of flower before starting this dairy, but the plants are doing so well I figured I'd throw one together.
Took three clones off a Durban I had outside ( kept two) in late Aug.
Pictures will be a little light for the veg stage but I had lots for flowering!
Around this point (Sep 17) they really started to pick up speed! Roots where all set & it was adding height everyday!
The soil is a DIY mix of common bagged soil and my own compost mix (3/4 bagged dirt to 1/4 compost).
Now that the base is bushy, they are starting to grow nearly straight up, around this time I got worried if they would get too big ( first Sativa grow) & flipped to 12/12 about a week or two later.
Flipped to flower.
The scrog net sure made training easier! Very glad I grabbed it.
Still not fed them a single time, running off the DIY supersoil still.
Oct 13 now, sorry about only one photo.
Threw in the HPS bulb & the flowering sites are starting to show!
I'm glad I flipped when I did for size control!
Bud sights are building! Starting to get real existed about the next few weeks!!
Had some drought issues around oct 21 from my lack of watering, shocked how much they drink!
Starting to fill in a lot, will do a little trimming & tucking next week & do it's first feeding.
Week 7 now, growth slowed a tad, figured my soil mix would be running a little low on nutes now & started the feeding. Chose to give them a single feeding of Plant-Prod MJ Grow as it has some extra stuff they may have been missing but will feed bloom starting next week!
The bud sites where starting to get a little shaded from the larger fan leaves, removed them & the buds started swelling like mad!
Last day of week 7 update: They drank the grow nutes with vigour, fed bud filler last night (nov 3). The feeding greened up the leaves, now I can confirm my soil mix lacks enough flower nutes for sure.
Entering week 8 of flower.
Nov 5; She's still packing on some amazing weight, just the one feeding of bloom nutrients was really noticeable.
November 8, fed yesterday again, still building mass & smelling amazing.
Nov 11; smell is getting stronger everyday, they are drinking the soil dry every 3 days.
Start of a new week!
The Durban's have been doing the same. Just water every couple days & stare at them is all I can do haha.
Nov 16 update; Same old, water every couple days. Will do one last feeding on the 18th.
18th update; Last feeding was done at half strength. Homestretch now!
Week 10! Winding down to the last week or two of life. What a fun grow its been, learned so many things from scrOG, feeding & p.h tracking.
Nov 21 update; The larger plant is getting really close, week tops I'd say! Pistils are 75% brown & yellowing away.
Nov 22; One plant had slight mold on the corner buds ( dead air zone & to humid) harvested that plant this morning before issues could happen. Will be getting a better fan/dehumidifier
Day stuff for sure!
Woke up and had some first thing, the buzz is clean and the taste is pleasant as well, still like to cure for weeks longer but great start!
For the short veg cycle & using them as lab rats for learning I believe the harvest is respectful.
8oz is not horrible haha, first time breaking a single oz per plant!
Tried wet trim vs dry trim & found wet trim way easier!
Hung each plant for about 6 days then trimmed the bud off & aired for a day before into the jars.
