They are a mixed of three strains, some of them clones and 4 of them are from the seed.
I will not keep this diary as usual. Just the development in one week.
D 4(minus) - I kept the vegetative part irregularly as I was not sure which one will stay with me. In the end, only 3 small ones and 1 in the big pot stayed with me. I am keeping one of them in the vegetative stage (under 4 CFLs) and the rest 3 will be switched to flower with the new year. The strains are:
- Jack Herrer (14 liters pot)
- White47 (own breed - White Rhino x AK47) (14 liters pot)
- AK47 (own breed - AK47 x AK47) (18 liters pot)
Bat Guano - The one I use dissolved totally in the soil in 10 weeks. So when I add it to the soil before the flowering, it keeps boosting the flower with natural nutrients and enriches the soil.
Rapid growing without any problem.
The flowering started at the right time without any delays. The light is a bit small for these 3 plants but I hope it will be okay, although some of the buds do not reach their full potential (especially the ones on the sides)
D29 - At the end of week 2, all the plants stopped stretching and started to increase the bud size. The smell started to become obvious.
There are three different strains, two of them are my own fem seeds pollinated from AK47 - WR and Jack Herer from Greenhouse seeds. I realized that Jack Herer produces fewer trichomes and starts flowering one week later than others.
D35 - I couldn't take many photos this week, but there is nothing to show actually. They are all growing well but only one of them has smaller buds which I suspect because of the strain or maybe she did not get enough light.
I changed the locations of the girls, and I am following up them closely.
I know that Jack Herer will be ready for harvest in 8 week and others might need more time and mature in the meantime.
D37 - I totally stopped defoliation as there will be no more new leaves from now on. The girls don't need any LST either. All I need to do is just water them and wait for them to mature!
No crispy leaves, no nutrient burn, no flies, no bugs no problem at all.
Only AK2 is a little bit behind on bud development but it is possible that it might need more time in the flowering
The nutrients are still double the recommended dosage.
Spider Mite infestation.
I put the story in the pictures. Long story short, the infestation focused on the lower (ticker) branches of AK2 and this explains the undergrowth compared to her sisters. The trichomes are half-cloudy / milky and she will be ready for harvest within a maximum of 2 weeks. I defoliated her by removing nearly all leaves and put her aside in the grow room. Open to any other suggestions.
I also confess that I neglected the plants and did not check the source of the white point. I also used some of the soils I used in other outdoor plants which I believe the source of the infestation.
Seed Formations
AK2, again produces seeds in lower branches. I did not pollinate this one and there is no other source that she is pollinated. I didn't see any Bananas, too. I am thinking it might be because of the stress from the Spider Mites. Open to any suggestions on that too.
Other Two Girls
I spotted some mites on them too, but it was not alarming. I defoliated the infested few leaves and they will be okay. Jack Herer needs two and White47 might need another 3 weeks and that is it. I think they all will be okay until then. I will keep a close eye on them.
Sorry for not good news this week.
I should be more vigilant on the symptoms of the plant and never use the soil you put on the balcony! Still, it is good to have a harvest with high THC.
This is the final week right before the harvest. I am very pleased with the results.
I am also glad that Spider Mite problems ceased once and for all with the harvest :)
The overall growth was okay except the spider mite problem which I realized in the late flowering. The growth was rather easy without any symptoms in her growth. The bud size is smaller compared to White Rhino but the competency of the buds are really high.
Growing of this strain was easy as it is always hungry to more nutrients or lights. Nothing except some spider mite problem in the late flowering stage is observed. She starts flowering very early at the week of 2 and produce dense buds without doing anything.
