I will continue to add photos through day 7 this week.
From RQS:
A very complete strain
There are always lots of requirements to fill when deciding which strain to grow: strength, yield, flavour, ease of growth, suitability to climate etc. There is one marijuana plant that tries to bring together all these features in a perfect balance in order to produce the ultimate cash crop: large yield, short flowering period, good smoke. Critical is a plant designed for the 'cash-crop' grower who wants the best of both worlds and is guaranteed to fulfil expectations.
Our Critical plant is an Indica dominant genetic which shows in its small size, staying below 1 metre tall. It has short internode spacing, which will eventually fill up with buds, making it the high-yielding specimen it is. Its small height also makes it suitable for those looking to grow in small spaces, for the more discreet growers.
Good yield in just 7 weeks
Grown indoors, it will average 65-75 grams per plant and can easily hit 600 grams per square metre under a 600W light. Grown outdoors, it prefers a warmer climate such as in Spain, Italy or California and, given the right conditions, will produce over 100 grams per plant. Due to its relatively short flowering time, it can be grown in more northern latitudes (UK, Netherlands); however, it will not reach its full potential as she would indoors.
No other plant from Royal Queen Seeds will yield as much in 7 weeks as Critical Feminized. This short flowering time makes it suitable for growers with a tight schedule. Commercial growers will be pleased with the results in sea/screen of green operations as it delivers large yields with very little maintenance.
Relaxing and stoned effect
Transplanted into 5 gal equivalent air pot. I used a mix Earth Juice Amazon Bloom soil which was a bit more spendy, rinsed coco coir and earthworm castings. I sprinkled mycorrhizae and microbes into the soil and have nematodes on order. The plant seems very happy! Last week I also augmented my lighting with a 65W Horticulture Lighting Group 3000K quantum board I found on Amazon for $99, thanks to Bigpun. It’s making an enormous difference. I will get back to numbering days.
Day 37 added nematodes and watered.
4-30 Beginning of week. Light watering.
5-1 light nutes 300 ppm and water.
Little teabag is nematodes.
5-4 Watered with light 400 ppm nutes
5-6 Really impressed with the growth this week
Nice growth on this. Seeing a few spots on the leaves which may be spilled nutes or calcium deficiency or something else. Will add cal-mag to next feed.
5-11 watered with cal-mag. Topped of soil first and added nematodes. Rearranged space.
5-21 looking good! Added sulpomag and bacillus thuringiensis israelensis and gave haircut
5-22 Trying out some Bud Bread! Watered with 1 tsp molasses, and some microbe tea.
5-29 starting week. Had some issues with an out of whack ph meter. Picked off yellow leaves.
5-31 watered with plain water to runoff to flush. Used lift the pot every 2 days method and moisture meter to determine if it needed water. Flushed as soil tested very alkaline. Took scalps.
6-10, watered + nutrients. Some ph imbalance and/or deficiency still present.
6-13 some defoliation
6-15 light water & feed with enzymes. Doing some lst since I have a little more time. Top dressed with gnat mox
