12/6 Update - seed is germinated and ready to grow! I will post a new weekly update tomorrow! So I had to scrap this plant - it was just growing too slow and it was unfortunately not a health plant. I decided to remove the plant altogether and have started a new seed. Since this plant will be four week behind its neighbor in the tent I will have to modify my approach to training on this one. I typically mainline - mostly just to utilize the space in the best way that I can. This time around I think I will just top it maybe once or twice and then let it recover for two weeks then flip to flower and manage out the lower branches from there. It will be kind of fun to do a side by side with these. The neighbor plant is super healthy and is almost ready for its first topping, I did however go through today and remove all of the growth from the plant (other than topping) so that should slow that one down quite a bit and give this new plant some what of a chance to catch up. Also - check out the worms!!! I pulled out that plant and reached down into the soil just to see what the worm activity was looking like - I pulled out this little ball of freshly hatched worms! Barney's Farm Gorilla Zkittles - Feminized. I'll be growing just one of these plants in this 2x4x5 tent. It will be growing side by side with another plant but I wanted to be able to document them separately. This is my fourth grow using this set up, I'm excited to document the process this time around! The seed broke ground today! Photos and time-lapse coming soon!

Here she is! This plant looks great coming out of the ground, I am super happy with the fact that she has stayed small and already started pushing out her second node because when I top it and build my manifold it will stay low and I can manage the height of the plant much more easily. It is developing nicely and I will continue to update on the progress of this new plant!

Going strong now! As of this morning 12/19 I see the fifth and sixth node pushing out/developing. This plant is super squatty so far and I dig that. Maybe another 1.5 weeks until I top and build the manifold.

This plant had its first topping this week. It’s growing really well and took really well to the chop - now I’ll wait another week or so and too it again then maybe one more topping of time allows before I flip to flower!

Going solid this past week! She’s been topped twice now and I will be able to top the third time this week and then a week or so after that I’ll be able to flip to flower!! Top crop is going strong - eventually I’ll smother all of that in some straw to get some more microbial activity going!

1/19 I flipped the lights to 12/12 on Friday 1/15 - today is day 2 of flower!! Did a little defoliation and smothered the cover crop with mulch.

This plant has taken off like crazy this week! Now that she's in flower she's stretching out pretty good, I'm also seeing flower development on the colas! Overall I am super pleased with this plant and how it's growing!! I have been sticking to water only - occasionally I add a little bit of coconut powder to the water.

@Indica_Jones, The straw is to smother the cover crop, which will kill it off for the most part. I plant the cover crop so that it can at first work on nitrogen fixing (mostly beans and clover in the cover crop) and then I kill it off to feed the soil. I’ve got about 1,000 worms in the soil and the cover crop feeds them too. The straw also helps with moisture retention for the soil. Cheers!
