Tracking almost day for day growth as first grow. This pheno seems to start slow in early veg. then explodes in week 3. It looks almost exactly like my first grow. BTW just chopped/dried the first grow = 27gm that will peel your forehead back!!
Last week (2) - I noticed yellowing of new growth, higher ph locking out Fe was my diagnosis. I attribute the high ph to the addition of DiatomEarth (+H2O) as a Silica supplement. DiatomEarth= ph9+. Corrected the ph through feeding @ 6.0. Contemplating experiment with FIMing (depending on continued health).
FIMMed 80% new growth @ 5th node. 12 hours later, no signs of distress, "wounds" healed/closed. I spread out the remaining 20% foliage to promote separation. Looking good so far.
Great growth post FIM, no sign of stunt/delay.
Growing nicely. More vigorous veg than my first grow. I attribute the higher mix of coco (50%) and the use of "smart" fabric pots for the increased veg. I super cropped the main stem (w/o ties) below 2nd node. She "grew out" of the bend and straightened back to vertical. FIM appears to have provided explosive new growth.
NL#3 is very healthy. So, I decided to push this girl a little. So I FIMed her again, removed 3-4 underside leaves, continued LST. This will be the last HST given. I will continue with LST adjustments and very light leaf trimming.
Showing signs of preflower.
I did a light "flush" w 60oz H2O+Humic+Molasses. Also did a super-cropping on Top #2 & #3. Will start Bloom nutes after the pot dries from "flush". This grow is more vigorous than my first NL. However, the timing of growth phases (stretch, pre-flower, etc) is within a day of my first NL.
All good.. I brewed and fed (36oz) homemade worm tea late in week 6. Feeding 1/4 recommended liquid NPK / CaMg / Flower Fuel / 17oz RO water per 24-36 hrs or when the pot is light. NOTE: I will never grow without fabric pots again. I saved the previous grow (NL1) root mass. I am curious to compare it to this grow (NL3). I suspect NL3's root mass will be 2x. I'll post the comparison after harvest.
Plant responding very positively to 20/4 light schedule.
She is really stretching, calyx popping up all over. removed the lower tiny popcorn buds. strategic removal of fan leaves. She is guzzling aerated H2O. +1ltr/24hrs. 1/4 dose PK + Kelp+ HA+CaMg every other watering.
2tbs Worm Casting + 4ml Kelp + 2ml CaMg + HA 0.5ml + 1tbs Molasses + 48oz H2O 24hr aerate = TEA
I fed this tea (bacterial) 1x per week. My opinion is that the tea greatly contributed to correcting the low ph (5.5) experienced in week 4/5. The BAC tea also seems to have released some of the existing organic nutes in the super soil and coir mix. Using MUCH less liquid nutes. Also, I top dressed the pot with 1 tbs of DiatomEarth which also raised the ph, and added Si.
She is fattening up, frosting nicely. gonna try to keep her going through week 12. The smell is overwhelming in a VERY good way. Showing some Mg /Ca deficiency. Not concerned about it this late in the grow.
Planning to push it until at least day 85. trichs milking up, no amber detected as of D80. will continue to check under a loupe/ water only since D75/ not as thirsty.. she's getting close.
D83- Trimmed most bud fan leaves, not removed. D85 VERY FEW amber trichs. VERY FEW glassy trichs. One last water on D85 then 2 -20/4 hrs light then 48 dark. Harvest on D90.
