Germination

Exciting days as it all starts or fails with germination. 3 of 3 seeds have germinated. Update: I have room for one normal plant in the closet, and on the borders I can place 2 "spare/reserve"-plants, in case something would go wrong; The only problem is that I only have LIGHT for one big plant (50x50cm). So: I will be cutting off most of the side-branches of these "sideplant", so they will grow higher than the main-plant, with just 1-3 (hopefully) BIG cola's. In the blooming-plase I will tie them towards the center of the growroom, so they will be catching more light, but not too much so my main-plant will be able to catch most of the light. In my previous grow (gorilla glue) I also had a spare-plant (northern light) which I put in a smaller pot. I did the same thing, and in the end (after harvest and curing) I was astonished by the potency of the side-plant that was just growing "next to" the main-plant. SO I'm doing it again. Advantage: If 1 plant fails, I still have a spare. And if it doesn't, I might have some extra grams.

The first week (real growth from planting it in the pot (21/11) to now (28/11) has been okay; Experienced that the lamp was too far from the plant (approx 80cm), so they started growing taller but not wider. So I hung the lamp lower (about 40cm) and now in the last 2 days they finally start growing wider/bigger instead of just getting a taller stem. 2 of 3 little plants actually fell over, so I stopped the fan for one day and made some support. As you can see I put some support in the soil and hope they won't fall over again and start thickening up...

I started with lamp on 80cm, on day 3-4-5, so the stems were growing very tall. I decided to rapidly hang the lamp much closer (40cm on day 6-7). They start "buffing up" now, but 2 of 3 really fell down so i had to start supporting them. Hopefully I made the right choice?

Nice job, they will be fine. If you are concerned, you could always top your pots up with more soil so that it buries a portion of the stems, thus providing a bit more support. Over time your plant will send out roots from the buried portion of stem. Try not to have your fan blowing directly on your seedlings at this age/size, far better to have the fan blowing against a wall at 45-60 upward degree angle, so that the air goes around in a circle - off one wall, off the roof, off the opposite wall then back down to your babies. This will create good air CIRCulation without buffeting your fragile seedlings. You could just leave them too, either way they will grow normally. Hope this helps.... Organoman.

Growing rapidly, almost a cm/half an inch a day now. Doing easy on the waterings/feedingd (once per 3 days now) since the plagron soil contains enough for the first 3 weeks. - just adding power roots + pure zym every feed until one or two more weeks, what my gut tells me, or just until preflowering. - and of course aciding the soil with lemon kick Ph 6.3-6.4 Nothing else to say for now. Hopefully they start “preflowering” soon enough, hoping for around christmas. Cheers to everyone reading.

This week: - Yesterday I saw the tiniest “preflower”, so around christmas it will be blooming is my expectation! EDIT: Flowering started on 16/7! Really shooting up now, growing quickly since 2 days. - I Started measuring EC-PH runoff: EC IN: 0,8 - EC OUT: 3,2 The runoff-ec is pretty high but I thinks this is because of the nutrients already present in the soil of plagron. So I will not be feeding any “grow-nutrients” this grow to make sure I dont overfeed. As soon as the ec-out drops to 2,5-2, I will consider feeding again. Ph in = always between 6-7 every feed mostly around 6,3-6,7. One time went too low:5,9, but runoff was 6,3 yesterday so it should be fine. LST: yesterday first lst on the mainplant, hoping it will get pretty bushy. The other SIDEPLANTS are growing “christmastreestyle”, until I can find out whats the maincrop/cola. i will then cut away some sidecolas from these sideplants.

Any experience with autoflower and lollipopping? What to do? They are just a few days into flowering/preflower. Can I just cut most of the sidebranches?

Don’t just cut leaves for the sake of it. You should only be cutting a leave for a reason. Every leave brings energy to the plant and if you’re going to just cut leaves for no reason you’re gonna damage your plant, research it first properly

This week (week 4) the runoff-EC dropped to 2.0, so on the next feeding session (19/12), I added 1/5 of the recommended dose of Terra Grow to begin with. Next feed (21/12, I water every 2 days instead of 3 from now on), I will add some more, 2ml/l terra grow. The 3 plants need a total amount of 5l, to make them runoff enough. This week, they really started shooting upwards, so next week When buds start to form, I will be starting terra bloom and a booster (Hesi bloom) which contains all kinds of minerals. Just to make sure it can grow the way it wants to. Ph runoff was 6,7. Ph in was always between 6.3-6.7 this week. LST: started a little late, but it worked allright. I did not succeed this grow to make the real topcola bend enough to make it “one of the normal sidebuds”. But I can see there are a lot of sidebranches growing towards the light now. We will see what next week(s) bring(s).

! Pictures to follow! These past 9 days I did 5 feedings (1 every 2 days): - I still use the enzymes and the lemon kick - I started adding terra grow gradually: first feed (sat) 1ml/l, second feed (mon) 1,5ml, third feed (wed) 2,5ml/l - fourth feed (fri), I thought it was about time to throw in some extras: Terra grow 2,5ml/l + 1 little dose of hesi boost to get flowering going, and fifth feed (sun) I decided to stop the grow-nutrients and switch to terra BLOOM! Starting with 1ml/l of course. For the next weeks, I will gradually feed them a little bit more bloom until half of the recommended dosage has been reached. Every week I will try to give it 1/5 of recommended dosage HESI BOOST. In week 8 I will give some green sensation and drop some of the BLOOM and stop the BOOST completely. For this week, ph in was around 6.5-6.7 Ph out was 6,5-6,9 Ec in was 1,5-2, Ec out was 1,5, so the plant seems to be taking up the nutrients pretty well for now. Hopefully it will go on like this until harvest. Edit wednesday: ph6,3 in - 6,8 out Ec 1,3 in - 1,95 out again. Looks “perfect” About the lst: I finally made it: the real topcola has been bent and the other colas are taking over! I didnt train the two sideplants, so they can gros a little higher. When they have reached their lengt, I will try to bend them a little towards the center without taking too much light away from the mainplant.

This week I: - started the bloom-nutrition (hesi boost + plagron terra bloom, like previous grow) - stopped the grow-nutrition - found out that the PH-in must be lower. Since the runoff-ph is 7.0, it appears to me that the general ph of the soil is still too high. I will try to compensate this with feeding-ph around 6.0-6.3 for next feeds. - Think the growing-sprint has ended. Hopefully the flowers will be bulking up soon. Sunday feed 27/12: ph in 6,4 - out 7.0 Ec in 1,33 - out 1,45. 30/12 feed: ph in 6.3 - out 6.9 Ec in 1.45 - out 1,67 (main plant) 2/1 feed: ph in 6,7-out 7.1 Ec in: 1,3-out 1.5 Will try to make the EC in 1,5-2,0 as long as the ec-out stays under 2.0.

So, I have 3 plants: - 1 centerplant that gets most of the light & 2 sideplants (left and right) who also catch a lot of the light, but not as much as the centerplant: the sides arent getting direct light, more reflective light. ?? The left plant is showing a few defects. Anyone?

Seems like a light Potassium (K) and Phosphorous (P) deficiencies - yellowing from bottom to the top, chlorosis, and blotching on a flowering plant. Try increasing your "TerraBloom" to about 3.5-4.5ml/l (start with 3.5 and slowly increase to 4.5 if gets better). The PK consumption of the plant increases immensely during flowering!! Hope this helps! Good luck and happy growing :)

At first just one plant showed some deficit-symptoms (mottling/brown spots), but now all three are really getting worse! Ph of feeding is always okay (6.3-6.7) , yet the runoff shows 7.0-7.1. Ec in is always around 1.3. Runoff shows 1.5.... Today I added a little bit of cal/mg...

You want the Runoff pH to be as close as possible to the feed pH but it is normal to expect a small rise due to buildup in between feeds. Just like with EC. Your runoff pH is a bit high so go with lower pH in your feed solution for the next few feeds and if you are really worried you can lower the nutrient dosages but try not to decrease feed solution EC too much in one day. A good general rule of thumb is to not exceed a change of +/- 0.2-0.3 EC from feed to feed.

This week I tried to get rid of some gnats by buying and adding nematodes to the feeding-water. Still struggling with some rusty mottling: So I read that there is no harm in some extra calcium, so I put in a little bit of Calcium Kick (natural calcium in powdery form). This powder doesn't dissolve very well in water, but that wouldn't hurt I think. In that way the chance of overdosing is little. Ph: In = 6.6 - out = 7.2... Still too high on the runoff. Since before I was adding extra calcium. So I am out of clues............. maybe it's just my sink which catches the runoff or whatever... Previous grow I had the same problem yet the plants turned out fine. I hope it will be the same result this grow. Anyway: the 2 little plants "sideplants" were blooming earlier, maybe because they are in smaller pots, so I believe they are ahead about 1 week now.... Hoping for them to bloom off end of januari. And the "mainplant" around beginning of februari. Cheers!

So, it's been going pretty well: - Gnats: bought some little eels to destroy the eggs of little flies tormenting the roots of the plant. In a few days I will be repeating the treatment since the eggs are coming out (I see on the amount of flies sticking onto my yellow stickythings). - Calcium: tried dissolving some Calcium Kick (natural calcium/magnesium in powdery form), into the feeding-water. Hope it took up enough, in combination with Hesi Boost which should contain about every needed mineral. Ripeness: - Left sideplant is really flowering now: has 1% brown trichomes, but most are still milky - Right sideplant is flowering well too, but I cannot see brown trichomes and can't really count numerous milky/cloudy ones. - Mainplant only shows crystal clear trichomes Nevertheless: a lot of sweet resinous buds counting, I am expecting about 10 big buds per plant... Aiming/hoping for a harvest of about 70 grams but we will see. Next week: starting the "Plagron green sensation" (which should contain about everything) for one week in combination with ENZYMES + a little bit of terra BLOOM. Still figuring out which dose to use.

I think the combination GREEN SENSATION + BLOOM + BOOST was too high, so the EC of the runoff water went up up up every feeding. So next week (week 10) I will be feeding less, maybe even softly flushing the 2 first (side-)plants.

Week from 20-26 jan: - 20-22-24 jan: decreasing the feed from three plants until very low (0,25 GS-0,5 Bloom-0,25Boost). Zym still 0.5 since it doesn't harm anyone. - 26 jan: Starting the flush on 2 sideplants: PH 6,5! - 26 jan: Still low feeds on the mainplant to prevent overfeeding and thus lockout. (0,25 GS-0,5 Bloom-0,25Boost). Zym still 0.5. Third plant (mainplant): Trying to decrease the feeding rather than flushing it all at once. Decrease so it doesn't lock out. PH hasn't been optimal, always increasing from first feed... however I have always fed between 6.0-6.8 PH. First 2 plants are almost ready: I think about a week or so. Trichomes are mostly milky and even a few are starting to turn brown. Plant 1 & 2: last feeding was on 24/1/2021 Now we will flush them for a week. Pictures to follow!

Week 12: From 3/2/21 - 9/2/21 - Normally harvest week. First time for me to have already harvested the upper part of Sideplant 1 (about 10 buds from small to medium) and letting the others develop more. Who knows this will work fine. Seems to be tasting pretty nice and the effect is more than good also. Anyhow this was a quick taste after 3 days of drying. SO now I'm waiting for the trichomes to fully develop. A perfect harvest for me would be 20% brownish, but now I'm only seeing about 5-10%, and varying greatly between buds within the same plant.
