Germination
Due to all excitement about the first grow didn’t take any photo of the germination. Used 2x 0,5 water bottles and a wet paper towel for germination. All 6 of the seeds germinated in about 30h. Room temperature was 22 with 65% humidity. I didn't have enough coco for all 6 seeds so I put 3 seeds of amnesia into one bucket. On the 2nd day I found out that You should not pit Your lights on 95% in the first week 😳 Now it’s running on about 27%. At the moment I have only one marshydro ts1000. But I figured that for the first week it will do the trick. Hopefully the second one will arrive sometime next week. At day 3 my coco finally arrived and I could put the 2 couchsurfers into their own pots. Since they are small (about 3cm) they fell out of the soil...but due to them not having any proper roots I hope they wont stress out much about the transplant (although everybody warns about not transplantong autos) So at the end of the first week I must say it is not rocket science but I made some serious mistakes that wont happen next time. Will definetly add perlite next time and be extra carefull with germination.

This week was much more exciting due to much more knowledge gathered about what it is I have do. First big issue was that my ph levels were off (about 7) got my ph meter. Calibrated and now can di a proper 6.2. Plants responded right away. Started feeding once per day : - 2ml cal max - 2ml grow - 2ml micro - 1ml bloom These are from Terra Aquatica At the end of the week started to add liquid worm castings as well Found out that my coco is not properly buffered. Since it came in bricks and I added only water, so will add 4ml calmag. The runoff is steady for about 10-20%, except for one plant where its almost 50%. But as plant is the strongest it does not bother me right now. Made some major upgrades to my DIY grow tent and now it’s more comfortable and less stress to plants. And my second light came in so things look pretty good. Unfortently I accidently damaged one of my plants. But as it was the smallest one it didnt looked like it will make it anyway. So will have the opportunity to properly germinate and seed the new one.

Hi! According to the manufacturer the recomended brightness is 50% for Germination, 50-75% for Seedling stage, 75-100% in vegetative grow, and 100% in flowering. With this information in hand, I would suggest something between 60-100%, maybe 75% or even 100%. I personally believe that 100% is better than 75% during this period though.

This was one dry week due to reason that my cocosoil was overwatered and too wet in general. Therefore I did only one feeding with about 500ml per plant. The other big thing is that restarted one pot on day 17. As the first plant was semi/translpanted auto it’s better to start fresh anyway. It herminated extremely fast and since I used a cone from 5l plastic water bottle it sprung whooping 7cm in 2 days. My ordered fans came through so finally have a good airflow in the tent which helped the pots to dry out some more faster. The only thing missing now is silencer for the big inline fan with carbon filter, because first cannabis smell appeared and now I have to turn it off more frequently. As I don’t have speed regulator it too noisey during the night. From time to time there is some mold like stuff on the surface of soil. Hope it will disapear once the pots dry out more. Since the the plants are growing I incresed the light power to 51% . So far looks good. All things together this was a simple and steady week and the progress is inspiring.

How I can tell if I’m having serious problems with mold & root rot or it is simply a little mold due to fact that I put 2x the amount pf water inside my cocobricks?

Hi! I have no experience on root rot but what I've read it affects your plant quite fast, so you will now if you have it. If the top part of the soil gets moldy you can just mix it up to kinda remove the mold and you can add something like perlite or clay pebbles on top to prevent this from happening. It is not that bad thing if it does not get totally out of hands

Probably the most amazing week so far. Plants are showing some exceptional growing rate and first full scent apeared. Simple and steady week regarding feeding. Did 3 days and 500ml per time. Had about 10% runoff with 6,2ph. Till only 3 days ago decided not to top the plants. Since it is the first grow I don’t want to go too complex. And it seems that a good LST will do the work. Found out a way how to tie them down without drilling the holes. Will check how it performs over time. My youngest one is in good week 2. Still keeping it under a 5l plastic water bucket. Slow but strong grow. Turned both my lights to 61%. They seem pretty happy about it as the grow is eye-visible each day.

Hello @Kazhox ! Technically, that's LST right there! It's simpler than it sounds, and sometimes that's what creates us doubt. The plant looks very healthy too, you're off to a good start 😉 Good luck with the grow

More like HST instead of LST. This week was all about low stress training or lst. But as it was for the very first time I would say it was more of a high stress trainig (for me of course). First ties I started already the previous week but this week was hard tie downs on pretty much every branch. Since I messed up the first week and put my lights on almost max power the plants didnt strech out for light and are pretty low and bushy. Thats why the space is really tight and lst is just the thing to do. I used a metal string since I think its better because I can adjust it more and all tension is not on the string. For the past 2 weeks or so I noticed some weird spots on one leaf. This week it went on 3 more leafs and on one more plant. After some research I found out thats a serious Calcium defficiency. Since I’m not from US I didn’t have the same things as in videos I watched. So I didnt get the regular cal mag. But instead some from local store and I must say it was bad choice. Way too less calcium. Ordered a proper one and hopefully it will come in the next fee days. Another interesting thing happened. At the beginning I was cinsidering toping. But after researching more decided no to go with it on the first grow. As the lack of calcium appeared I went full blast with feeding. And it appears thats I was underfeeding, since I thought that my coco was too wet. Guess what happened when I went from once in 3days to twice per day. Thats right. The growth was massive ! One of the metal strings somehow got stuck in the plant and when this acceleration happened it simply snaped itself of 😳 I must say I was a bit sad at the moment, but then I figured it’s some form of self-toping. Not that I wanted it to happen on my strongest plant. But will see what will happen out of it. Alltogether this was a nice week full of wide strech and a lot of new knowledge!

it's from too much Calcium.. older leaves show excess.. Newer leaves show deficiency. Adding calmag when you are already adding calmag can't help because that's kind of exactly the opposite of what adding CalMag is suppose to do.. Less is more.. Cut out the Cal-Mag.. Possible even look at halfing your nutrient ratios.. are you in soil? if so soil has enough stuff to feed your plant for quite some time depending on soil conditions. I hate CalMag because it solves peoples problems and they think it's calcium/magnesium when 90% if the time it's PH.. your Trio formulas from most companies has everything cannabis needs to grow.. Why add it if you don't have too? why buy another product when it doesn't really do anything? add a tiny amout more floramicro if you really need more calcium.. Read your bottles..

One hell of a work week. Everyday did some lst and some minor deffoliation. Managed to brake 2 more main stems...so its fair to say that I have accodently toped 3 plants. So far they reacted well. But will see as its an autoflower and the flower stage started which is late for any kind of toping. Overall the plants seem pretty happy. Main problem to solve is still the nutrients as I cant figure out if I’m giving too much or not enough. Last 2 days went with only ph water in order to start the next week with feeding as suggested on the bottles. Will see how it goes.

Enough with bushes would be title of this week. As 3x I went with LST and defol. The plants are now pretty strong so the lst goes well. Just have to be carefull as it could snap. The perfect method I think would be scrog however. Because they are so bushy and I dont have enough space to tie them down properly. Still cant get clear with how much nutes I need to give. 2 of ny plants just go wild with the leafs . The dots in video happened overnight. Since I cut off the lowest leafes which were half yellow brown dotted. Buds are starting to form pretty good. I suppose 🤷‍♂️🏻😄 as this is the first time I have no idea. Main worrie is that I dont get a bunch of popcorn nugs . So will see. Next week looks pretty much the same. Maybe will figure out something about the net though.

Special Christmas Stress would be last weeks summary. Still trying to figure out what the hell is happening to my plants. As there are some major problems appearing on one of them and symptoms on all of them. It looked like there were too much nutes so I tried to flush them out with water. Still the problem went on. Then I started to add calmag since 2 plants went too white. Which appearently is iron defficiency. After 4 days I’m starting to add full nutes but now I’m not regulating ph but leaving it for 7.9 since my runoff water is about 5.8 and probably locking out K N and P. Will see how this will roll out. Also made a simple DIY scrog net for the tallest plant. And ordered microscope.

Steady as she goes This week was a drastic change to the right direction. As it appearred my PH levels were way too low. And because of that iron lockout happened. Not to mention other nutrient problems. Once I went without ph on my feeding everything went back to normal. Now I’m using my tap water and adding only nutrients and 1ml/l calmag Another major stuff was that I misread the label and was adding 3x more GRO then necessary on flower Buds are starting to show some nice form and overall it seems that things will be good

Microscopic week indeed since my microscope arrived. Dunno why I ordered something from the local store but that was definetly the last time. The thing came with a install cd. And that would not be so bad besides the fact that I had to manually configure the files to work on win10. O yeah it does not run on my mac since it doesnt have a cd reader. Old pc is pretty old so it just freezees from time to time and I have to restart it about 2-3 times for every photo session 🤪 Anyway the thing does the job. Photos came out pretty decent. Also cut on half the watering amount. And still havent PHed it. So far it works and plants seem to enjoy it. Now every 2 days is a photoshoot to not miss the perfect spot. With the first time its pretty hard though.

Fashionista week if I may say. Allmost all went just on water and photoshoots. On wednesday I started to flush. Since all the trichomes on all 5 plants are decently milky the chop time is getting closer by the day. This photoshoots took sime time to get a hold of it but once You start to figure out the angle and distance things get a lot easier. I’m waiting till the first amber apears and then harvesting. Maybe on big plant will do a progressive one. Starting from the top to bottom. Since that plant has a lot of smaller popcorn buds closer to pot. Now just have to decide which will be the proper dryong and curing tent. Meanwhile the youngest one is in hardcore start of flower. Buds look extremly good and are beautifully frosty

Haircut week it is. Finally I decided to chop down the first of my plants ever. Since the tallest one didn’t seem to be eager about getting those buds fatter, I decided for it to be number one. I chopped down the whole plant which was a mistake since I had to do some trim before hanging for dry. Trimmed everything except sugarleafs, since I’m planing to make some butter later. As ot later turned out the reason for buds not fattening was due to too small pot. Next time instead of 10 I must go with the 20l All other ladies are still in flush, but by the end of next week they will be ready.

Harvested 3 plants of Strawberry Cheesecake and 2 of Amnesia. This is the last one from 1st grow. I planted it 2weeks later as the original plant didn’t survive. Avoided some basic mistakes and the buds on this one are huge. All plant is covered in crazy amount of sugarlefs. Now in flush...some time next week chopping it down and moving on to next grow.

As for the first grow I’m really satisfied because I got 1g per 1w. Due to some mistakes the buds were not so big but still ok. Just a little more work on the trim. The high is good so I say this is a win. Still have plenty of these seeds so will check how the next time will turn out.

If somebody is thinking about their first strain this is a good start. Just try to avoid some basic mistakes and all should be just fine.
