Right....update time! I originally had this setup in my 1.2mx1.2m but decided to move to my 1.4mx1.4m tent for more space. Looking to flip to flower over the next week. I have 6 clones 3 of each - LA Gelato and San Bacio Gelato. Unfortunately due to my stoned nature and not labelling the pots I think I now have two of each in the 4 pot DWC and 1 of each in another 2 pot DWC. Ideally it would have been 3 of SBG and 1 of the LAG and two of the LAG. Again my own screw up! It's been 5-6 weeks since clones rooting and initially had some root issues due to me not checking my water pump and solution temp hit 26ºC. Also added a small capsule of Zyme as it was supposed to change dead roots into food. So with the Zyme and warm water the roots looked buggered with root rot. The roots turned to mush and the plants all started to droop. Res change was in order along with the pump - which was clogged with dead roots. The roots were also damaged when moving them to their final homes as they'd all grown in a 65L tote and the roots had combined in one mass. Separatred as much as i could when moving. So they were pretty stressed out due to the root damage, Zyme & warm temps. It took a week for recovery and new roots and shoots were spouting everywhere. Anyways that's the point where I should have added a scrogg net. Next update will be first week of flowering and hopefully it'll be smooth sailing from there! Peace! 👍 After adding the net I weaved through the tips and waited for them to recover. Also defoliated the underside. I will do a major defoliation on week 4 of flower. Very impressed with the vigorous growth over the past week. Again I think i left it too late to scrog properly. I've done what i can and it doesn't look too bad with a few decent looking bud sites.

Oi oi! Hope everyone is as well as can be! After screwing up again and reading the feed instructions for ebb and flow I corrected the nutrients just by swapping out the whole reservoir and replacing for fresh. Had some leaf burn from too much mag but they look fine in transition. just dialling in the feed now. Need a major defoliation after week 2 as the canopy is THIIIICK!! Need some good air flow and open some more bud sites! Everything is chugging along nicely! I just want to see those buds develop fast!! 😎 Peace!

Oi oi! Hope all is well! Thanks for checking out my grow. Just hit 15 days and everything looks tip top! Put the second layer of scrog up but it's too tall...it just sits over the top of the canopy and was hoping they would stretch some more into the netting. Looks like they've stopped stretching but as always as time goes on they'll stretch a little more. i did a light defoliation underneath and on top removing any major fan leaves and any leaves under the first level of scrog. As always I was too late to add the scrog on and all 4 plants have pushed the scrog up in the middle where it is densest. As this was a light defoliation which still took me ages ...my back was killing after, I will crack on with a major defoliation end of week 3 - around 21 days. This will hopefully open here up more and I'll also remove any smaller bud sites that have developed underneath. Girls are looking on point and praying. I'm expecting some decent bud development over the next coming weeks! Peace! 😎

Oi oi! Three weeks in and they're coming on nicely! Bud development is a little slow but that was my own fault. I raised the PPM to 450. Over the next three days it rose to 575...saw some burn and brought it back down to 400. That on top of some light defoliation probably stalled her a couple of days. Other than that all is going well! Waiting until week 4 for a major defoliation semi lollipop as the canopy is very dense in the middle. Peace!

Sup growmies! 2 days into Week4 of Flower and they're looking okay if a little hungry. Noticed one of the plants at the back was a little lighter that the others so upped the calmag and feed. Will see how she does over the next few days. In need of a major defoliation which will happen this week. Looking nice! Should see her stacking and packing on weight! I'll keep an eye on the PPM as I don't think they like it when I go over 450ppm. Peace!

Sup peeps! Had a interesting week....just a little screw up....but unfortunately one that will impact my final yield 😕 Upon checking my Bluelab meter I noticed that it was set on the PPM 700 KCI scale and not PPM 500. 😭 This means I've been underfeeding and what I thought was a Mag deficiency was actually the plants needing more food. I corrected the scale and upped the feed to 450ppm. They looked a lot healthier the next day but I then noticed some purpling on some of the leaves. Naturally thought this was down to the low feed but it was down to a Phosphorous deficiency. I totally forgot to change my bud booster from EARLY to MID and this lower Phosphorous. I upped the dosage to 2ml/gal. So 20 gallons of fresh RO along with fresh nutes I'll keep an eye on here over the next few days! Hopefully they'll frost up a bit more over the next few weeks! The canopy is very dense and does need a defoliation but I feel it's too far gone and don't wanna stress them anymore although I do remove some leaves that are blocking sites when I do a clean up of all the dead leaves! May have to take these a week longer. I was aiming for 9 weeks but may have to go 10 weeks. Peace!

Wassup peeps! A little update for Week6 of flower. The purple spots I put down to cold temps and when doing a reservoir swap the water was around 14°C so this may have caused the purpling. I did a light defoliation as RH was creeping up. It hit 70% when it was raining this week. So I believe the high RH and intense lights the plants could not transpire enough so the leaves started curling. I couldn't figure out what was going on until a little search with lots of similar issues. I increased the speeds of all fans including the extractor fan. I also added a dehumidifier to the room as when the windows are open RH increases due to the wet weather. RH now floats between 55% and 60% lights off. Anyways buds are in full development and I believe I can tell which plants we have in this tent. Originally I thought we had two of each strain - L.A Gelato & San Bacio Gelato. It now looks like we have 3 L.A Gelato and 1 San Bacio Gelato. So the plants are set out as below looking at the first pic - starting top left going clockwise San Bacio Gelato L.A Gelato L.A Gelato L.A Gelato So I'm expecting the LA Gelato's to pack on a few trichomes and a bit of weight but not as much as the San Bacio Gelato. Peace!

Sup peeps! Hope everyone is safe and well! Week 7 if flower and they have been cruising...I was expecting the gelato to put on more weight but its gelato so nice small nugs of heaven will do! I should have a decent amount to get me through this crappy lockdown. As you can see from the pics they're pushing out the trichomes! I'll add my UV light in there the last week and have it on for 3 hrs of the day. As week7 started 2nd Jan this update is a little behind. Next pics will be in 5 days (2 days into week8) pre flush where I will be flushing with RO water for 5-7days. Update after will be week9 and that will be harvest time! Looking forward to this! IT doesn't smell as intense as The New did but it smells nice and creamy like gelato so I'm very happy! San Bacio smelly a bit musky like The New did...so I'm looking forward to that too! Cannot wait to get these chopped, dried and cured! 😍 Peace!

Sup peeps welcome to my diary! Week8 of flower! This week has been cruising! Buds ripening and trichomes packing on. One issue a ran into this week....my RO filter is full. In a hard water area and been using an RO filter for 12 months. Totally forgot to change it. Now it's putting out about 250ppm instead of 0. New filter is on order but I'm now unsure how long it's been going on. Could have ran out a month ago. Anyways I know tap water is okay for flushing but I like to ensure I'm flushing with RO. Checked the trichomes and all were milky a week ago and now there's a few clear down to overdrive. I'll be harvesting in around 12 days once we have some amber trichomes. The colour is coming on nicely on both with the LA Gelato having the darker note than the SBG. Current ppm in reservoir is around 420. I think half of that is due to the hard water so cannot wait to get a new filter to do a proper flush. The smell is gelato with a hint of musk from the San Bacio. Looking forward to this! Looks amazing so far!

Hey peeps week 9 of Flowering and we're flushing. Had a power cut for 10hours during lights on! RH rose to 92%. Humidifier is still running to keep RH low. Frost has built nicely! Smell is a musky aroma...looks lovely! Colours have intensified and purple is everywhere on the LA Gelato! SBG has loads of frost and has packed on in the later stages. Impressed as always with HSO. Can't wait to toke them. Will be flushing with RO and putting them into 48hrs darkness before harvest this weekend! Peace!

Right....welcome to my Gelato harvest! First let me say I am very impressed with this strain and will 100% grow this again. I let them go too long....maybe two weeks too far. The stone is a killer but it would have been better if I didn't chop so late. There were quite a few amber trichomes when I chopped. I was keeping an eye on the 'new' layer that was being created by the Overdrive instead of the whole plant. Anyways you get smashed due to the couchlock effect on both strains. The high is nice and the taste is nice creamy gelato. I love the taste of the LA gelato but bud size of the SBG. After chopping there was another screw up which was the LA Gelato drying too long. As I was drying with my other harvest I was keeping an eye on the SBG so the LA dried out too much. This lead to issues when using auto trimmer where the small buds fell through the gaps and a majority of the LA Gelato was turned into bubblehash. Just over 1 ounce of hash from 437g trim. Got over 9 oz of solid class A bud from the 4 plants with most of it being San Bacio Gelato....the smell is musky Gelato and I can't get enough! 10 / 10

LA Gelato has a more intense Gelato taste. The buds are small dense and potent although most of it was turned into hash. Would grow again. See San Bacio Gelato review for more.
