Really wanted to try the Runtz version of this F1durb x Gushers hybrid, but it wasn't in stock so picked this. Was contemplating whether to get the poundcake or the weddingcake version. I'm still wondering if I should have chosen the poundcake, so I guess I'll need to try that next time. Purple City Genetics (PCG) makes some very, very interesting strains and I have heard good things about them, so I had to try them. All 3 seeds sprouted perfectly in the "Root!it" cubes.
I will definitely be trying out more strains from PCG in the future.
I'm really liking this plant. It has a lovely growth and I love the very fat indica leaning leaves. This might end up being the favorite strain to grow.
I'm really liking this strain and sometime this week I'll be starting some LST. It has grown nicely this week and it will be nice to see them in their new 5 gallon pots.
As you can see, these are getting some LST to get a large beautiful canopy full of buds. It will also give me more offshoots to clone this strain. I might cross this with the Ed Rosenthal Super Bud, but I'll have to wait and see. I've also done some main-lining and some topping/FIMing to increase the amount of top shoots, but also to see how the plant deals with stress. Next week I'll do some HST and pump these girls more up.
This week was HST week and the girls have been getting some attention. These girls will be trained to max out in a SCROG setup, so the plan is to keep training them. I've been quite aggressive, because I knew from earlier weeks that it was a tough and strong plant. So I've bended and "snapped" almost all branches, tied down some of them and generally just given them a beat down 😄💪 I'm really looking forward to seeing this strain evolve and I can't wait to try the "Runtz" version, which was the one I originally wanted. Welcome to the Jungle 😎
These girls got a beating last week, but recovered nicely and very quickly. Within 24-48 hours they were showing no signs of LST or the HST. I must admit, that this isn't the easiest strain to HST. The branches snap very easily, so you have to be very careful or use some tape when they do snap. It recovers easily when you snap or break it.
They are looking nice though and I'm really looking forward to flowering these girls. It will take a few more weeks before that will happen, due to lack of space. I'm not the pandering type or one to ask for anything, but if there is a sponsor out there... Just saying 😎 But back to reality hehe, I will most likely grow these girls 4 weeks more and really push them in ScrOG. I have a Kerosene Crash in ScrOG and I might wait before flowering till they reach the size of that. It has a few weeks head start and was a clone, so it is a lot bigger.
I wont be doing too much HST due to it being so prone to snapping, so I plan to push them a bit more on the LST side.
These are still being trained even though I've cooled down on the HST. I've given them a medium defoliation to give the smaller lower shoots more light. They weren't getting any due to my earlier training. But now they are gorgeous and I'm looking forward to see them grow into my ScrOG setup during the next couple of weeks. 1 of the 3 girls have been moved to a flowering tent, so I'll be adding some pics of this strain flowering along with the veg period of these two. It is really beginning to show its wedding cake growth pattern, which will give me several big main shoots. I think that will make the ScrOG work a bit harder, but that is why I'm testing one that aren't being flowered or grown with ScrOG.
These are getting too big LOL. MY own fault I guess, but I hope to soon clear out some space in the flowering tent and get these babies flowering. I have 1 that is flowering. I'll add pictures of that, when these 2 are put into the 12/12 cycle. I will most likely try and ScrOG them because I've trained the plant so it kind of needs it. Or else there will be a big part of the plant not getting light. I might do some defoliation during next week so the offshoots can get more light.
