This week I continue my "low effort" first grow. I finally made some improvements by adding a 100W LED grow light and am using that along side a 60W LED bulb.
I am still giving 24/7 light as I have no idea how much light I should be giving and whether cutting light duration helps at all.
I am using compost and added some bloom pellets a few weeks back. The plant itself looks healthy but I am wondering if the buds are abnormally small and whether I can still salvage enough of a harvest to last my wife and I until our next grow finishes.
I have been growing my royal dwarf for over 8 weeks now. The trichomes on the top buds all look cloudy (no amber's yet) and I was wondering whether I could cut the top 4-5 buds? A lot of the pistils are still white but none of the trichomes are clear. Is it too early?
You could! But definitely shouldn't! I am not good at being patient. I find it incredibly hard to not cut and sample😆, I get super excited. Remember when you pick up the snips.. "it will be so much more in a few weeks.." Plus If you cut now they will dry to almost nada.. Looking very nice mate 👍
My plant (mainly top leaves) have been developing weird holes/ends missing over the last week or so. Right now I am thinking it is due to its proximity to light? I'm really unsure. Any help is much appreciated!
I added a teaspoon of molasses to her water early in the week (over 2 watering sessions) to help top potassium up a little. I also added a 100w led grow light which now accompanies the 60w bulb. The buds are definitely getting thicker and my plan is to harvest at least the top cola (maybe it all) in 7 days - after the week 10 update. It's my first grow though so I don't know if I'm just being impatient!
Can’t tell for sure by the pictures but I would give at least another week or 2. Clear trichomes clear headed focused high, milky gives a balanced high, Amber is sedating high. Your preference
Day 70 since sprouting - things have started to smell a lot stronger over the last week. I have continued to just give water (but not flushing). She still was producing new pistils and buds throughout last week so I haven't chopped her. I was planning on harvesting today but I may give her another week. I defoliated 5 leaves to also help more light get to the lower buds.
Harvested her on day 71. No amber trichomes but the absolute majority of trichomes are plastic-white. 96 g of wet goodness and 19.2g dry. I was aiming for 15g when I started so I'm happy with the yield. My next grows are both higher yielding plants so I look forward to getting even more. The smoke is smooth, a little bit sour and earthy. The high is very mind and energetic
