I was not planning to do this type of run for my next crop but its more of a trial run to learn cloning.
Decided to go with 4 strains which are said to be 8-9 week flowering times.
Hindu Kush is one of the first seeds you were able to purchase from a recreational store here in Canada. Comes from the LP Tweed and they call it Bakerstreet.
White Widow and Gelato are from CANUK Seeds
GG#4 is Gorilla Glue #4 from Blimburn Seeds
No germinating tricks this time just seed into a Jiffy Pellet or Peat Pellet and hope for the best.
For those that didn't see my previous grow of Purple Kush and Cheese Autos, I have my SF2000s dimmed to around 125W each and right now I am only running 1 light for germinating and seedling and running it 24hrs.
Day 2 of germ I noticed the rh in the tent floating around 53% and I want it in the 60% range. I don't use a proper humidifer it's more of a mist sprayer but it does the job to keep it 55% during veg. But right now I need higher so I filled a 5g pale with tap water and put 2 airstones in the pale. It increased the rh up to 61%
Day 3 and day 4 showing no signs of life yet
Day 5 After a few discussions I decided to open up the pellets a little to loosen them up a bit.
Day 6 WE HAVE LIFE!! I opened up the other Jiffys and can see they cracked through 😎🌱🤙 should see all green tomorrow
Day 7 Hindu Kush is taking off!! Gelato is starting reach.
Day 8 Hindu is getting to tall for the dome tray so it got transplanted to a pre soaked coco/perlite solo cup with VeloKelp. Gelato will be getting the same in the next day or 2.
Looks like I lost the GG4 😥 the top fell off still inside the seed.
Still waiting for white widow... it might be a goner as well
Start of veg 🌱
Took a few cups and cuts holes in the bottom for drainage and to prevent nute build up. Always want good oxygen through your medium so even in solo cups its good to have drainage.
Day 1
Made a veg res of 4ml Micro, Grow, Velo, and Cal in 4800ml tap water. 500ppm Ph 6 - 6.1
Fed each 100ml of res
Day 2
100ml of res. Ph 6 - 6.1
Day 3
100ml tap water
Day 4
Nothing but a velo spray soak of the soil
Day 5
Added 1500ml of water to the veg res to lower the ppm to around 400.
Fed 100ml of res ph 6 - 6.1
Day 6
Noticed some green algae on the top soil and a little bruning already on the Gelato. So won't be adding any nutes for a while.
Fed 50ml tap water
Day 7
50ml tap water
Not a bad week with some good growth near the end. Next week should start to see faster growth.
I'm starting to notice that water is all they need and don't need to be feeding nutes. Although I did start this week off with a nute feed :)
Day 8
Hindu Kush is looking over watered with the drooping and wavy leaves.
Hindu - 50ml res. Ph 6 - 6.1
Gelato - 50ml res. Ph 6 - 6.1
Day 9
Hindu - 100ml of non Ph tap water
Gelato - 100ml of non Ph tap water
Day 10
Gelato is almost to big (wide) for the cup. Good rule of thumb is when the leaves are hanging over the edge it's time to transplant.
Hindu - 50 ml of non Ph tap water
Gelato - 50ml of non Ph tap water
Day 11
Both are getting close to needing transplanting and if I had more time I could of done it today.
Hindu - 50ml of non Ph tap water
Gelato - 50ml of non Ph tap water
Day 12
Nothing day, should have transplanted today
Day 13
Hindu - 100ml of non Ph tap water
Gelato - 100ml of non Ph tap water
Day 14
Transplant Day!
Both Hindu and Gelato got transplanted into 1gal pots.
Mixed 500ml of res. + 500ml of tap water Ph to 6.0 and ppm 300
Hindu - 250ml of mix
Gelato - 250ml of mix
Things are looking good at the end of this week
GG4 is ALIVE!!!
After accidentally popping the top off the seedling during week 1 I decided to keep it going and hope that it would show some green... and well it did!! 🌱🌱🌱😃😃😎😎
Its inna solo cup for this week and probably next week so it's a bit behind but I don't plan to flower these any time soon as they will be mothers.
I didnt have much planned for training this week. It was a simple week of watering and keeping an eye on ppm and ph. The GG4 was strictly water this week non ph tap water.
The ppm in the res was still a bit high so when it was time to feed I mixed 500ml tap water to 500ml res to give me 380ppm
Day 15
Gelato - 400ml ph 6 - 6.1 ppm 330
Hindu - 400ml ph 6 - 6.1 ppm 330
GG4 - 50ml tap water
Day 16
Gelato - 350ml ph 6 - 6.1 ppm 330
Hindu - 350ml ph 6 - 6.1 ppm 330
GG4 - 50ml tap water
Day 17
Noticed the Hindu has some wavy looking leaves and is probably over watered.
Gelato - 400ml tap water ph 6 - 6.1
Hindu - nothing
GG4 - 100ml tap water (to much)
Day 18
Nothing day
Day 19
Gelato - 350ml from the res ph 6 - 6.1 ppm 480
Hindu - 350ml from the res ph 6 - 6.1 ppm 480
GG4 - 50ml tap water
Day 20
Nothing Day
Day 21
Gelato - 350ml res ph 6 - 6.1 ppm 480
Hindu - 350ml res ph 6 - 6.1 ppm 480
GG4 - 50ml tap water
Things are looking pretty good. I noticed some spots on the Gelato which was a sign to up the nutes and that made positive improvements.
Next week I plan to top both Gelato and Hindu and will see how they look at the end of next week for transplanting. GG4 will need another week at least in the solo.
Lots going on this week!! I missed a few days for taking pictures and I have been busy so I didn't spend as much time with these girls as I should have. Quick feeds ands that's about it.
Hindu and Gelato both got topped and everything got moved to "The Garden"
The Garden is well just that a garden of plants. I wont be documenting much from what goes on in there. Its to much work to be documenting it all on here. I will however finish this diary and add a few mother plants to it in about a week or 2 so everybody can have an idea how we mother. You may see some pics here and there from the big room but you will have to follow this diary to see them.
The Garden uses General Hydroponics so I may do a side by side for some mothers to see the comparison... I havent decided yet.
This weeks res consisted of 5ml of Micro, Grow, Velo, MagCal in 7000ml of water giving a PPM of 470 and Ph to 6.0
Day 22
Gelato and Hindu Kush both got topped and did not feed.
GG4 - 50ml tap water no Ph
Day 23
Gelato - 350ml res. PPM 480
Hindu - 350ml res. PPM 480
Day 24
Nothing Day
Day 25
Made a Velo foliar spray 4ml in 800ml of water and sprayed Gelato and Hindu. Removed a few lower leaves. I like to have a good hand grip for the stock.
GG4 - 50ml of water no Ph
Day 26
Nothing Day
Day 27
Gelato - 350ml of res. PPM 350 Ph 6
Hindu - 350ml of res. PPM 350 Ph 6
GG4 - 50ml of water no Ph
Day 28
Everything got moved to The Garden
GG4 - 50ml tap water no Ph
Finished off another awesome week!! I've been busy out st the garden so I neglected to spend the time on these babies but they are looking great.
This was a fun week at the garden... every week is a fun week out there 😃😎
I forgot to mention last week that we are running the mother tent at 24hr light cycle for a week or so... the Chemo mother that has bud on it we are trying to re-veg it. Has a story behind the strain and has sentimental value.
This week all the mother plants got transplanted as well as we removed all the dead looking plants from the mother tent. We thought we could keep them alive and we probably could have but we decided to toss them.
Bit of a Frankenstein soil as we use Pro-Mix HP Mycorrhizae in the garden and I was using Coco/perlite. Not sure at what ratio is what we kind of ran out of coco so had to improvise.
Only 1 feeding this week but it was over 2 days. Day 29 was transplant for some and normally they don't need much feed for the week of transplanting. Saturate the soil before or after and it won't need feeding for a few days or up to a week.
Day 29
Transplant Day!!
Gelato and Hindu Kush went into 3gal pots and the GG4 went into a 1gal.
Res. consisted of 15ml of veg but 20ml MagCal in 8.5L of water Ph to 6.0 i should mention we truck in water that is has avg. 40 PPM and we reclaim our air mover / AC condensation.
Gelato- 2.3L of res
Hindu - 2.3L of res
GG4 - 500ml
Day 30
Nothing Day
Day 31
Nothing Day
Day 32
Nothing Day
Day 33
Nothing Day
Today was a nothing day on any plants in this diary but it was a busy day filling the garden. See picture
Day 34
Added a few plants to.the mother tent. Everything in the tent from.this point on is for cuttings. We added Slurricane #6, Death Bubba, Frosted Cookies #6 and #7.
For feeding we used the left over res from yesterday's transplant which was general hydropinics. I'll do better from this point on to keep using Remo for the mothers.
Today was also LST day. Everything in the mother tent got some training. Not going to defoliate much or if any we need as many cuttings as possible.
Day 35
Nothing Day
Solid week!! I love spending my days around plants
Its been a pest control week. We first noticed thrips which we had to deal with and then noticed spider mites. We were gifted some special pest control targeted for each pest. Wont really know the full results until next week.
Plants still look good and will bounce back in time. We now have 9 mother plants Gelato, GG4, Hindu Kush, Death Bubba, Frosted cookies 6 and 7, KJ Chemo, and
Samoa 6 (we originally thought this was Slurricane)
Day 36

It was an interesting week seeing how thrips can really do damage to large crops. Hopefully we mitigated the infestation.
