First week is looking good so far. Grown in living soil, amended with additional perlite and gaia green 284 bloom, mycorrhiza and watering with a beneficial microbial mixture every two weeks.
Growing nice and steady. They seem to be on track. Humidity is normally around 55 but there are daily fluctuations, it can dip down to 34 whenever the humidifier runs out. On the other end is can hit 71 as this reading did due to having extra moisture from a watering.
Update...
Decided to LST a couple of the SBP and leave one as a natural, for reference and comparison purposes.
Wondering if I should lower the light..
Everything is on track. All plants are in flower now. The SBPs aren't exploding but are definitely steady and uniform. The two that have been LSTd are being left alone for another week. The third SBP which has been left to grow without LST has had one set of leaves removed to further increase availability of light to the two budsites below.
The leaves of the BB are thin, lighter, seem more fragile when compared to the SBP foliage, which is thicker with texture and a much healthier green. Same soils for both. BB drinking twice as fast, so is it the growth.
Don't be sloppy. Made one mistake and 'accidentally' topped my Blueberry Auto. Lesson learned.
Everything is nice in the auto tent! Hit them all with some defoliation and only left the SBP#2 unLST'd.
Top amended with small amount if Gaia green power bloom that was mixed in with fresh simple super soil.
The tent is starting to produce more of danky smell...great sign! Filters definitely help but still leaking, maybe defective or some smell just gets out?
The SBP produced three phenos, the differences are in the picture descriptions.
Will be adding some molasses as soon as I can get the correct type. Wondering if I should be adding some bloom nutes...
Gave the girls molasses in their watering for the first time. I may have been a bit heavy handed, they seem to be holding up but the of the test plants in solos are not.
Resin is sticky af on the SBPs. BB has the fastest growth and size but that's as far it goes.
Hoping 30gram a plant minimum, dry.
Looks like I'm in the home stretch! Maybe? I'm thinking 2 more weeks and I should harvest. I say this because the SBP is starting to throw out amber trichs. Reslly hope they fill out. From what I've seen, it doesn't seem to be a high yielded, but some more size would be great.
Well this is week 8, around the time the breeders of both these strains claim that they finish...and guess what, they're right! You could definitely harvest these right now, but I'm going to run a couple more weeks.
Harvest isn't far now. These ladies have been a pleasure to grow and will hopefully continue to be nice and give me any issues so close from the finish line. Putting them under the loupe for a trich check. I did one a day or two ago and all three of the SBP looked about 90-95% cloudy with some clears and some amber. The BB is a few days ahead. I could clip her....I could, but I will hold off.
Been playing around with lighting and my phones camera...finally pictured that better represent what I see. Especially the colour...no more nasty over exposure yellowing.
The SBP have all matured into three unique phenos with little resemblance to each other. Tonight they go dark for two nights.
Clip them early morning and off to drying.
Grew easily and quickly, had a decent smell during the grow and some during the drying but didn't retain much unless the bud is ground up, which is pleasant and skunkyish. Not so much blueberry any where, never during the grow either.
The high is good, a 6. Hits quick mellows out quick.
Chunky buds, not airy at all but not that dense.
I got three different phenos of this strain...
SBP#1 - yielded 48.54g dried and cured.
The buds are dense and coated, they have solid sponge density. The smell is like red sour patch kids with a mix of butter in the air. I guess this is the pie aspect. Breaking the nug down further you get a sour gas smell. The sweetness lingers in the smoke when you smoke a joint.
SBP#2 - yielded 28.60g dried and cured.
This one has the densest nugs of all three phenos. Rock hard, pointy, sugary buds! A similar nose as SBP#1 when getting your nose into the jar...but once you break it up its pure diesel. Hard heavy petrol with a cane sugar sweetness. This one leaves the most sweet flavor in the smoke of the three.
SBP#3 - yielded 38.97g dried and cured.
The nugs have this awesome bounce to them. You can squeeze and they spring back like a spongy tacky foam. There is no sweet smell here, these ones are diesel smelling with a mix of earth and pine. The smoke has a kush taste to it.
The high for all three is almost the same. They are definitely indica, I find these to really destroy motivation. If you were in motion you won't be after. Definitely recommend, very easy.
Beautiful looking buds. Keep up the amazing progress. I hope all the plants grow to be strong happy and healthy. Good luck stay safe happy growing cheers!!
