Just picked up these new clones from the GoldenGate Company off NobHill. Clones look really healthy. My only concern is on the clay pebbles that need to be washed etc. Under the MH 600W bulb right now.
Recently got the VIPARSPECTRA XS2000 for LED lighting. This will be much better for the heat since SF has gotten really hot lately with all the wildfires. Also added the mylar covers to prevent light from getting into the water/roots
Plants had some stress from the Pebbles being off in PH LEVELS. It kept flux'ing to 7.0 PH lvls probably after i washed the pebbles. Started to do the LST tradining as well as Fimming/Topping. Both are getting very Bushy so i also started trimming the bottom nugs so i don't get popcorn nugs. MORE MAIN COLA NUGSSSSS
PH levels have been pretty stable around 5.8 lately. The growth speaks for itself and I'm extremely impressed by the VIPAR SPECTRA XS2000 lights. Keeps the heat very low and humidity right. I have it at 50% power because I started to see VENOM show light stress. These are STRONG lights. The girls are also starting to drink a ton more water.. will need to flush before flowering next week. one more week of Veg

Major growth after Week 5 of vegetation. The leaves had a little bit of PH flux stress so stabilizing that will be important. I've defoliated a bunch and did more LST to make room for more node locations. Overall very excited to see how both flower. The Tropicana is absolutely HUGE and continues to grow taller every day.
The babies are starting to show their white hairs and nodes are opening up. The Root growth is MASSIVE and pretty much the size of the bucket with a very healthy white color. Probably one of the healthiest I've seen. I flushed before adding the new set of nutrients on both buckets.
Buds are really starting to flower and drinking about 1 gallon every 3 days or so. The lights are doing a great job and am pleasantly surprised with the way that the flowering has progressed so far. The venom OG is creating some very sticky node locations. Conditions are optimal at 78F/38% Humidity
Week 4 - the white hairs and nug sizes start to show more prominently. Also noticed the colder temp at night in SF (50F) turned the Tropicana purple. The Tropicana is shooting up for the main colas in the back
WEEEK 5 FLOWERING. (END OF WEEK 5) The buds are really starting to PLUMP up and get really frosty. The Venom OG is so fat that the branches are bending already which is expected. I remember in the last VENOM OG grow it got even more plump under the HPS. Really impressed by the LED performance and how it's keeping the temps super cool during the daylight.
End of Week 6 Flower 12.28.2020
Main highlights this week:
- Potent aromas very apparent
- Venom has a lavendar/aromatic smell
- Tropicana has a citrusy smell but very purple.
- Very Frosty
Problems potentially:
- Potassium deficiency
- Slight root rot (I was out for 1 week.. .roommate overwatered)
Solutions:
- Added new water pump 950GPH vs 250GPH Old one
- Muffled the air pump with foam at the bottom
- Flushed both of them last week
Word of the week: HEAVY
Venom OG branches can't event stand up because the nugs are so dense and heavy.
Tropicana smells super citrusy and like fruit loops
Fixed the root issues by adding a new air pump 950GPH - kind of loud but tons of bubbles for the bucket
YIELDING this week. Very excited.
Tropicana Cookies is an upbeat strain with citrus terpenes! Can turn purple in cooler temperatures.
