All 3 seeds geminated fine and decided to start them in some shiny cups I found whilst shopping lol. Keeping them in the grow cupboard for now instead of the tent as will use the tent for drying before these girls get too big.. it's always a balancing act between what starts and finishes and I feel not even close to using my grow spaces to their potential.
Repotted to 1 litre pots to help control watering as I feel roots have grown big enough to stretch further and moved to the big tent. Looking healthy and happy!
Photos are 22 days in. All plants are looking healthy.been keeping the lights on a lower power setting and height while they don't cover a large area but the lux is still high.
Beginning of week 4 and thinking it's about time to change pots again to their final pot. I did notice clawing starting one morning which was a sign I was once again overfeeding them which I quickly rectified and by the evening they looked happy again and fully stretching.
Been struggling with phosphorus lockout from nutrient burn but starting believe it's underfeeding that's been the cause of my woes. Made exactly same mistakes with previous grow so need to start looking at giving more nutes as flushing then giving less just makes matters worse. I wanna cry 😭
Done some low stress training instead of topping etc. Doing to let them run another week before deciding if I should flip the switch. Haven't yet got the size I'm after but not in a rush to start flower.)
Did a lot of defoliation and low stress training. Was scared I thinned them out too much but after 2 days they already filled out again. Clawing seems to have stopped when I upped the nutrients. Thought it was overfeeding but as soon as went to 2ml a 2ml b hornet Coco feed, leaves started pointing up again. Feeling an itch to flip the lights over 12/12 so will see how this week goes with them filling out again. Photos just before water so they were wilting just a little here.
Omg what have I done.. they're starting to show pistols and stretching like crazy. Did some unthoughtful lst and now too many stems close together all fighting for space.
Tried to spread around the stems as best I could and some much needed defoliation as they bushed up like crazy and lots of bud sites were covered. 2 days later they boomed
Plants well into early flower and already getting frosty fan leafs. Good sign for how frost these girls are going to get!) I do a very small amount of defoliation because hidden buds never seem to grow that big but I try not get carried away too much with it. My cheap fan packed in so I'm back to a rattley freestanding one but this one oscillates and has more power.
Girls still looking really healthy, every day I feel like they've changed a lot so always get that exciting feeling to check them. Fan leafs around pistils are super frosty, remind me of Auto amnesia from seedsman, my first grow that i harvested prematurely. I think these girls are going to be sick!
Started adding liquid seaweed to it's watering but just 0.3ml per litre to start with then every few feeds upping it slightly to see how it reacts. So far no signs of any problems and they're getting about 0.7ml per litre on top of their regular feed.not very scientific, just doing it all by sight.
Starting to see some leaf curling upwards on the plant closest to the air inlet. I'm inclined to think it's due to cooler air coming into the tent as watering isn't overly frequent and other plants seem to be coping well. I may up the nutrients a little bit on next water as I've seen all the flower sites really take off this week as they all start to swell up. Happy with this grow so far!
Seeing signs of nite burn at the tips so going to give them one water with 0 nutes and just Ph'd to 6.1 and following water just a and b and no seaweed.
My last wasn't great and ended up growing a bit dense in some places. So I've kept up on defoliation to allow air flow around the plants and get the lights to the buds. But all in all they're doing great, super sticky and heavy. Had to prop up some stems as they're tipping over!)))😂
Started the flush, one flush left to go of 3. Ppm is close to the water ppm but going to give one more to be sure then let them dry a bit before harvest. Purchased 8 tier chop shop growing net for convenience as hanging this many branches will be difficult in the growspace. One bud got taken out for mold but isolated the part and it seems to be drying fine without any mold spread. Perhaps they've gone too long or lack of airflow.
The wedding gelato was my first photoperiod aswell m8. Just a word of warning tho. If you don’t keep the internodal spacing tight and LST her you will end up with a monster like mine that just stretches like a mofo. Mine is 1.5m tall! Good luck 😉
