Germination
6y ago
Celesto - On the 4th day, I have a seed that is coming up. - On the 5th day, I have a second seed that is showing its head. - On the 6th day, I have the second seed that kept a white sprout and it died very quickly... I put the other two seeds back to germinate, using the paper towel method. - On the 7th day, I placed the first Orange Sherbet in Autopot. I have one seed germinating among the other two and another that seems done for. Success 2/4.

Celesto It's been two weeks since I transplanted into the Autopot. I'm finally going to add the nutrients to the 45L tank, check my pH, and open the tap on the tank to feed the Autopot system.

Celesto Orange Sherbet is healthy. The plant isn't stretching like crazy, which means the light is at a good distance. I hung some twisted wire to add weight and spread out the lower branches, kind of like LST!

Celesto Awesome, when I rub the branches between my fingers, it smells a bit like that sweet fresh orange scent. Even though the smell is very faint, I'm not the only one who can smell this fragrance!! It's really amazing, Fastbuds are really good at creating genetics that truly have the scent of their strain description. I can't wait to progress into flowering!!

Celesto Slowly but surely, at this rate I think another 3 or 4 weeks. Already I think she has finished her stretching. 67cm is nice. Unless she stretches some more during flowering, but 70cm is what I was hoping to expect in height!

Celesto The plant isn't very big, but the smell of the Orange Sherbet is absolutely amazing. A strong and sweet scent of fresh orange!! Kudos to Fastbuds for coming out with such delicious genetics!!

Celesto The smell is amazing. Last week, I don't know how much I'm going to harvest but the buds are very dense, I think they will be heavier than most of my plants!

@Smokwiri, thanks Smokwiri, did you see that ... Making grow diaries is very important, you saw in my previous grow that I did too much defoliation in week 6-7 which stressed my plants so much they didn't stretch ... I've seen diaries where growers do a huge defoliation at the beginning of flowering and end up with very big yields, I wanted to do the same but it was a failure ^^ but this time I'm only defoliating very lightly. This time I will do my big defoliation of all the nutrient leaves when all my buds are formed, for the flushing phase. In about 2-3 weeks.

@Celesto, it's part of the learning cure, to adapt to your local grow area and strains, but strange things still will occur, luckily we are on such fabulous site where we can look at eachothers plants and ask questions

I think you have thrips, they eat the leaves. 🌸
Celesto
Celesto commented6y ago
@BigDaddyK, I don't have a trip, but I use coco, and unfortunately, I ended up with a ton of little flies, there were so many (200-300/day) that I was squashing them by the dozen by clapping my hands, but sometimes it annoyed me so much that I wasn't paying much attention to the plants while clapping my hands, and some leaves got slapped at the same time ^^ and the white spots on my plants are the traces of the milk that dried, some plants were affected by mold and to help them a bit I sprayed diluted whole milk at 10%, after evaporation, milk traces remained on the plants! Anyway, thanks for taking the time to check out my diary ;-) !!
