She's absolutely blowing up already, she may honestly be off to the best start of any plant so far so fingers crossed 🤞 that she keeps it up. Started some LST on her and she seems to be loving it so far. Also upgraded my light setup so that can't hurt as well!
She seems very sensitive to how much water she gets. I underwater her a bit and she began to droop then I gave her apparently a little too much. But she looks to be doing better now. Maybe small magnesium defiance underneath so I'll add some calmag next feed.
Some of the lower leaves are starting to turn yellow and wither. At first it seemed like a magnesium defiency but I'm starting to wonder if there's some nute lockout going on too since I have been going a little aggressive with her feeding since I haven't given just water in a while. Either way next watering will just be pH'd water with some calmag just to make sure she's on the right track.
The magnesium deficiency has gotten much worse, progressing all the way up the plant. But I did some PPM testing and I think I finally got to the bottom of my chronic calmag issues. Turns out I have relatively soft water at only 55-60 ppm. I discovered i need to add about 1.5 ml of calmag per watering to bring it into the desired range. So essentially my plants have been chronically getting shorted on calmag I believe which I think I finally discovered how to correct it. Hopefully it stops this from getting any more out of hand and I think it's gonna make a massive difference for my future grows.
Think I finally got the magnesium deficiency under control, but its already done a lot in terms of causing yellowing on the leaves from top to bottom. Buds development doesn't seem too adversely affected though as the colas are good size with still a few more weeks to develop.
Updating is a few days late this week. She's getting such bulky colas that she's just falling all over herself. Don't even think I'm gonna try to support her, just gonna let her ride iy out to the end and hope she doesn't snap lol
Starting to get a bit of pinkish purple fade creeping in, as you can see best in the 3rd pic. Buds still look like they need more time to mature even though the top colas are getting quite fat and heavy. At least another week or two for this girl.
She's definitely very close I think. Has gotten a really nice fade going, the buds look just stunning in person. Gonna check trichs trichs later and see what I wanna do...
Harvested day 79. She was a very vigorous grower early on but still ended up on the medium end of the spectrum size wise. Yield however was pretty good. She ended up with a pretty fade at the end, resulting in a nice looking product. Smell changed a lot from fruity to very creamy in the end. The unfortunate downside is that compared the my other plants harvested at the same time, the potency just doesn't quite seem there.
Disaimer: this was my first full run with my new grow light. I realized what I originally thought were nute problems was some light stress from having things dialed in a tad high.
Very interesting roller coaster this plant was. I don't think I had a plant grow quite like her from the beginning. She loved LST and took off like an absolute animal in the beginning. Didn't end up that tall really but was quite wide and thick with large colas. The smell early on was an intensely sweet berry smell, but the end product ended up extremely creamy smelling. She did get very pretty in late flower, as pink/purple/hues came out and helped create a product with good bag appeal. However compared to the Toofless Alien and Wedding Cake I harvested at the same time she just doesn't have the same kick. Might be that light stress played a role, but then again the other plants had the same issue and were vastly more potent. There was also the issue of a hermie in the tent for the 2nd straight run, which sucks. I noticed it early in flower and the culprit was either this girl or the Toofless Alien, not positive which. I've also noticed a lot of people on reddit with hermie issues lately so not sure if this batch of genetics was maybe just not the most stable. But overall, this was a neat strain and I'm definitely gonna give her another grow somewhere down the line.
Looking good. Let the buds begin! I try to make sure the water is surrounding all the soil then wait till it dries out the top inches till next watering. But each and every plant is different and unique in there own way. Keep up the amazing progress. Good luck cheers!!!!!
@HAPPY91, I mean I thought maybe sensitive to temp cuz i did let my heater run too high and it did get into the low 80s in my tent but wouldn't head stress cause the leaves to turn upward and not droop? Idk lol
