D1 After 72 hours plants Just started popping out of the plugs. I have 2 plants. One is in the 20L fabric pot with cannabis soil, whilst the other is in the ground where the soil is made up of cow manure chicken poop, and lucerne.
D3: Had some nice rains on the night of day 3.
D5: Plants are extending nicely. now they are approximately 3cm tall. Still no sign of the second set of leaves.
D6: The temperature has been up and down here, mostly up though. Have had to give me plants more water as a result of the ground drying up quickly. Also, the first signs of the second leaves have started to show. These ladies are also extending very quickly. both in the ground and in the ground :)
D:7 Had a major wind storm. The temperature was 35 celsius, and the winds were howling. Because of the harsh environmental pressures, I put the irrigation on to help soak the ground and keep plants as happy as possible. some of the larger plants have windburn, but the Bruce banners have never looked happier. The Bruce Banner in the pot seems to be slightly ahead of the one in the ground as the second set of leaves are now pushing out. So far I'm happy with the progress.
I will have to consider putting supports around the plants to help with winds in the future.
End of week 1. So far I am very happy with the Bruce Banners. I have also ordered some Biobizz products to help with fertilizer and hope to have it late next week.
D8: Applied nutrients today. 500ml. Temperatures are jumping around loads. We had a high of 27 and a low of 13 on D8. Plants look healthy and happy as the second set of leaves are extending and the first set of leaves are really growing in size. We have had heavy winds so the plant in the pot has started to lean a little, however no signs of windburn or stress at the moment.
D9: No nutrients were added just clean water. An eventful day. found 2 bollworms on my other plants but luckily they had not made it to the seedlings. The temperature ranged from 27-13 celsius again no winds slightly overcast. For an outdoor grow these seedlings show great growth.
D12: Missed my updates over the past few days. So here are the latest happenings. Found bollworm on one of my plants, luckily minimal damage was done. I did a foliar spray with some biological control I got from a friend to deal with worms so I added local fertilizers Rapid K and Alexin with some kelp mixed in as well. A Rat/mouse/bird chomped one of my slightly larger plants yesterday, though it should recover from nodes that are lower down.
With regards to the Bruce Banner plants, they have grown exceptionally well. They are now pushing out their 3rd set of leaves and show no sign of stopping. The weather has been rather cooler than what we can expect in November, sitting between 11 - 25 Celcius.
I received my Biobizz Grow, so I started feeding that at 2ml/liter yesterday, mixed with it is seagrow as well at 1ml/liter.I have run out of root juice, though at this stage I am happy to leave it off the list. Plants are now up to 500ml-1000ml water per day.
Day 15: Welcome to week 3 guys and girls! We have one set of leaves per week with all nodes starting to shoot out as well. The plants are strong and growth is speeding up. I've decided to only do posts every other day as I feel to post daily on outdoor autos could be quite boring for followers. Nutrients are added 3 times per week, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with water ranging from 500ml - 1000ml depending on the heat of the day and wind.
I have noted some windburn on my plants as the wind has been relentless since Day 12.
Day 20: Plants are doing well. I added 5 teaspoons of MAP Technical (https://nulandis.com/sites/default/files/downloads/MAP.PDF) to my 25L solution. This is to help with root growth and foliar growth on the plants. The plants have responded very positively to the new mix and have started to really stretch nicely. There is some windburn, as we have had relentless wind over the past few weeks, however, they don't seem to show signs of stress.
The BB in the pot has not stretched as much as the one in the ground, though it looks as if the secondary shoots are more vigorous on the BB which is in the pot. BB pot is now 8cm tall compared to the BB in the ground sitting at 13cm tall. As a matter of interest the Durban Poison, (photoperiod,) planted and germinated the same day is 17cm tall.
Day 25: We have signs of flowering starting, so I have added a very slight amount of Bio grow bloom as well as top max to my veg solution. I will slowly be upping the bloom and top max over the next few days, and next week I will be up to 5ml per liter of each.
Day 27: This is the last week of Veg. I am extremely happy with the seeds from #Greensmokeroomseeds. These Bruce Banners are by far the best grow I have had with Autos. The Bruce Banner in the Pot comes in at a height of 22cm, whilst the one that is in the Ground is now 43cm approximately. We have a few secondary branches forming on both the BB.
I will be updating more frequently now as we are in the flower stages.
Day 30. Major plant stretch here. Flowers aren't looking bad either. Since Day 27 the flowers have really started to look good, and seem comparable to other BB grows I've seen. The BB in the ground seems to be about a day or 2 behind the BB which is in the pot based on the flower development, and I was told to possibly expect that the one planted in the ground maybe flower slightly later or slightly longer. Time will tell.
Watering is done every morning with 1 Liter each, and after a hot day, I will give 500ml in the evening which is then followed by the 1 liter in the morning. Not an exact science, but it seems to be working. Side note, the BB in the ground seems to be able to take more water than the one in the pot, also not entirely unexpected.
Day 31: I just popped into the garden to test the camera and take some close-up shots. Very happy with the growth rate. There is most definitely a smell building up here :)
Day 34:P PLants are stretching!!!! Yeah, the one in the pot is now at 34cm and the one in the ground is just shy of 60cm. I haven't changed the formula so far, might take it up a notch next week. to push it.
Cheers and thanks for the follow.
Day 41: Apologies for the delayed post. It has been extremely hot and with the Christmas season somewhat busy. The BB in the ground is not budding that well. however it tri-bud ontop is fattening up.... wonder how it will turn out. That is not to say it's not got nice buds forming though. some lower flowers are forming well.
The BB in pot continues to amaze me. I think next season I may just supplement my ground soil with large bags of cannabis soil. The buds on these ladies grow and grow and grow. Its just a massive pleasure to watch and grow this lady.
Noting the stink is there :) big time.
@Shooey, Thanks. These ladies seem to be doing much better than anything else I have grown. Marigolds are much easier! hahaha. They are on a drip line with my photoperiods.
