PK Pheno #2 is short and extremely bushy. I cant wait to see the difference and adding a new strain to your collection is always nice and exciting. I wont be keeping both Pheno's, I'll be picking the one I like best after this grow.... As for the $350 each natural sunlight bulb, I noticed the difference within 24hr. I'll never use a regular MH again. It was like I moved indoor plants outdoors, I was so surprised to see how fast the plants liked the bulb. Ive never seen a difference that these bulbs made In my 30+ years of growing, for growth and smell. My house has a few moms and its smells like I have a bunch on flower for 30 days :)) ... Every clone rooted nicely. Very healthy babies thankfully as I could only get 20 off the mom, exactly what was needed... After I finished transplanting they got their first taste of Remo Nutrients. I feed them just corrected pH distilled water up until transplant, (today). I cant say enough good things about the HORTILUX Daylight Blue Metal Halide.
I'll keep them in the cups for 1 week then transplant into 3 gallon fabric pots. I only need 20, thankfully I was able to clone 20 nice babies. I'll only be keeping one pheno for a mom out of the two.

I'll be keeping one in=between two super HPS when I switch to 12/12.
I transplanted them 7 days after I put them In the cups. Roots where nice and healthy, I'm still given credit to the EYE Hortilux 1000W Daylight Blue, it produces a Daylight spectrum with UV (Ultra Violet) light. Its the closets you can get to Sunlight. I'll be leaving one in-between two EYE Hortilux Super HPS 1000W... Now I'll veg for 2-4 weeks, get our ScrOG going. Then flower for 55-65 days. After talking with the producer I received the beans from, I was told my strain is Mendocino Purple Kush. It was just advertised as Purple Kush. I loved the flower a lot so got a few beans off them. These will get separated in rows of 4 and veg around 10-14 more days. Its my first grow with this strain, any advice is appreciated. Any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
I'll get my net up this week and start training these amazing girls with LST/HST, FIMing ECT and get a ScrOG going. Pheno 2 is much shorter and extremely bushy its insane how bushy then Pheno 1 .... They'll be put on flower this weekend. By looking this is the Pheno 2, I'll be keeping Pheno 1... Pheno 2 is much harder to grow and its leaves have a deformity like the seed did, I think it carried over... Its started to pop out 9 finger leaves, I cant wait to see these ladies 4 weeks into flower as its so beautiful now. Any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
Today I put on 12/12... There very healthy and beautiful girls. Pheno 2 is 12" extremely bushy and needs experience to grow, needs to be defoliated almost everyday. Pheno 1 is 24" and much easier to grow, so I spread out Pheno 1 and bunched up Pheno 2. Very excited for this one, as all the Mendo Ive seen grown looks so good... When I got the flower from the BC producer, I had to ask him for beans. I got lucky he had a few left :))
Not much stretching the first week of flower. Pheno 2 is a tough one to grow, a lot of defoliation and sucker. Ive never seen a plant this bushy in my 30+ years ... I think last night was my last defoliation unless I know 100% its wasting energy. I'm going to leave it till about 4-5 weeks before I do my last one. I know there's 4 Pheno of Mendo Purple Kush ... This one is short and extremely bushy, the color is a bit lighter then Pheno 1 making it look like a hybrid more then Indica's darker leaves. From what I read there more earthy, kush taste, the other should be more grape, fruity taste with that gas on exhale... I'm excited for this grow, and will do a good review on both Pheno after cure. Not much stretching in week 2 about the same as week 1. I did have to spread them out more... This Pheno is tough, very extremely bushy, There more bushing out then stretching. Same as Pheno 1 but half the size in height. The color is more like a hybrid then Indica like Pheno 1 with darker leaves. The flowers are showing nicely, no sign of any deficiency at all... Any questions please dont hesitate to ask.
Great week, not much stretching again and should be the last week of stretch. I dont see any deficiencies, just was tough as its insanely bushy. Last week was the first time with no defoliation. I find there eating more and even. I have been tucking leaves out of the way. The trichomes are crazy on this Pheno, smells kinda like Wedding Cake (sweet kush like). Great 4th week with no issues. Did i bit a defoliation for the last time. The smell reminds me of Wedding Cake, a little sweeter. By looking its a 25% strain, Pheno 1 I think will be around 20-22% bit lower. Its smell though is very sweet with gas. Temps will get lowered week 7 of flower for the last 2 weeks. 75f day/65f night... Wedding Cake is in my top 5 ATM so I'm so excited for this strain. I'm ordering some big C-Vaults for curing. Ive never used one, but I plan on a slow cold dry and cure. IMO curing its just important as growing, 50/50 ... Pointers or Any questions please don't hesitate to ask, happy growing!
Week 5 went great. Very sweet smelling. Pheno 2 is more frosted then Pheno 1 but both smell very sweet. The purple is just starting to show in both. I already know its a keeper. The smell and looks has me hooked. I so cant wait to get into these ladies. Any questions please dont hesitate to ask....

Week 6 went great, these ladies are about a 7-8 week Pheno that smells amazing. Has a sweet grape popsicle smell with sandalwood and gas. My new Fav, Weeding Cake is still up there though LOL... This will be great where I live outdoor as our season is short. I'm hoping it'll go to 8 weeks but the trichomes are very milky. Week 7 went great, its my first run with this Pheno. I still need to learn how much she like to eat ECT (fine tune)... Its a 7-8 week strain, has a strong sandalwood, sweet gassy smell. I might do a hydro table next with it... I'm just leaching it out now and should be chopping in the next week. Any question please dont hesitate to ask!
Not stretching a lot, getting verry bushy.... I believe it's a good sign that you got true purple genetic.

@PurpleWorship, The flower I bought before I got the beans where all Purple, he sold it as PK. I loved it so much I had to ask for some beans, lucky he had a few left :) ... After seeing 9 fingers I knew it wasn't a pure PK. I had got a hold of the producer In BC to find out what it was and was told the actual name LOL ... Yes, I'm thinking around week 4? and will go from there? This Pheno is insanely bushy, Ive been defoliation since the beginning, every week except for last week. Its much tougher to grow then Pheno 1 as It dont need as much defoliation and care. Everywhere I read says there's 4 Pheno of Mendo PK I have 2. Its my first round with them, but I'm very excited to see the end results. I been at this long time and can stare at this strain for hours. Its a very beautiful plant... I tried a Purple Kush, but she had no mendo parents, and this is probably why she don't had the taste I was looking for.

I got a hold of the producer I received the beans from and hes almost certain they where bought from Medical Seeds and the leafs structure and plant look identical. There is 4 different Pheno's from my research. I have 2, but I might just keep the one I like better for a new mom. I'll be getting it tested after its cured up and will post in harvest as well on both...

@Smokwiri, thanks, did you see Pheno 1? I'm liking it much better, its much easier to grow. This is a tough one cause its extremely bushy. Ive never seen anything like it. Had to prune a lot every week. Last week was my last till about 5-6 weeks in and know its just a sucker. There very short as well. I am exited though for both Pheno's LOL... Happy growing!
