NorthendNursery Hello everyone. This is my very first grow ever. I'm willing to try what some might deem crazy, such as. I put one tenth of a teaspoon in one quart of water on day 5. She seemed to respond well sprouting her 2nd set of leaves day 6.

NorthendNursery I filled the pots with fresh ocean forest soil so the heght measurements are not consistent with last week's numbers. There was great leaf and stem production after feeding fish fertilizer and step 1( both Alaska nutrient products). So far so good.

NorthendNursery Light foliage mist, every other day. Watering 1/2 gal every 3 days, alternating nutes and Epsom salt in water. 4th node started 5 finger fan leaves. Great node leaf growth as well. Gave first ponytail on day 19, plan is to keep it in ponytail for 6 hours every other day. Going up one node each day until I reach the "top" then repeat until height suggests a more drastic form of low stress training.

NorthendNursery Pistoles have sprung up all over. Growing about an inch a day. Taking half a gallon of water per feeding or watering, every 3-4 days. New lights are one their way. A king 1000w led and a taotronic led supplement light. Let there be light and may the force be with you....

NorthendNursery Switched out lights, had 27 watts being pulled from the wall with little grow bulbs from Amazon. I put in a King led plus pulling 210 watts from the wall and two taotronic grow lights pulling 12 watts from the wall. Added more nitrogen back into feed, new growth seems a lot better not nearly as yellow. Finally got the nerve to tie her down, I just hope I'm not too late. Better late than never I suppose.

NorthendNursery Day 42 Had some nute burn but 8 hrs later all looked good with no intervention... My own grow miracle. Lights seems amazing, and the smell is definitely getting stronger. Day 43 I went against the autoflower grain, I was running out of space in the closet so I defoliated 25% of big solo fan leaves... I'm praying she doesn't get too upset. Day 48: New Home. The 4'x4'x8' tent came today. Old home was a 24"x19"x45" aluminum closet lined with aluminum foil...

NorthendNursery I have been defoliating a little bit everyday, including little "budsites" that aren't really going to produce anything... The smell of this strain is amazing, Everytime I touch it my fingers smell like heaven for 30 minutes. It will be a sad yet glorious day when I cut this baby down...😅😅😌

NorthendNursery I tied the lower branches down for 3 days, the bud sites on the end of the branches have doubled in size from the light exposure... I think... A buddy of mine gave me a 1000 watt hps light and dimmable ballast, so I of course threw it in the tent running it at 400 watts because of the heat it produces. Now I need to research ventilation systems... SMH but it's a good problem to have I suppose.

NorthendNursery I have no idea when to pull her. I think she would benefit from another week or so... She is soaking up water now a half gallon of plain pH water every other day to flush.

NorthendNursery No nutrients have been used for a week and a half. I've added exhaust and filter to the tent. I'm afraid it is all little tiny buds but they are covered in trichomes. Hopefully it still smokes well.

She was a trifoliate!!! Exciting at first, looked so pretty, but because of the extra leaf on each node, leaves were everywhere....EVERYWHERE!!! She gave me 14 grams once dried.

NorthendNursery Looked great her whole life. She showed me from the start she was a special seed. In the end the yield was smaller than expected because of the trifoliate, but she taste great and felt amazing. I was not able to sleep after smoking...

@northendnursery wrote “I tied the lower branches down for 3 days, the bud sites on the end of the branches have doubled in size from the light exposure... University schools of agriculture, who admittedly don’t research cannabis but know their shit otherwise, lean toward the belief that only leaves on this family of plants are photosensitive, and exposing the buds to direct light is of little benefit. That doesn’t concur with our anecdotal evidence as growers. What’s the real deal? Anyone? Bueller? Anyone?

@growdoctordc, this may just be this plant but so many leaves are on the "bud sites" so ethier way I believe/hope it helps

@growdoctordc, well... technically all your buds are supposed to be on top of canopy... experimented growers don't need to "expose" lower buds because there's none, they all have been plugged off in week 3 of flowering... 😉 And of course no agriculture or botanical school will learn you this 😊

@JUNGLE_B4RNS, Excellent point and thoroughly agree :) All the best Mark..

@growdoctordc, It's not the light, it's the airflow. The light helps the leaves develop lower down, which is why you want to start in the veg phase and get the leaves all even sized, smaller, and deep light. This provides power evenly along the branch at the site of the nodes, developing the nodes into a larger, wider cone. As opposed to a lot of big shading fans at the top and not much along the cola. That's all during the veg and stretch. At that point, when it goes into bloom... it's definitely the airflow that determines the bud development. The plant is a wick. More airflow = pulling more from roots. Fewer leaves = better airflow.

@Jaindoh, Ah ha! Thank you for confirming my belief all along. Air flow and space create flowers
the end.
