So, I have a super close friend. As this "Global Pandemic" hits it's 2nd Wave here in North America, his young son got laid-up & the whole family went into lockdown. I asked him if there was anything I could do & he reminded me about some seeds he tracked down; Pineapple Express, (feminized). We're super excited to grow our set-up, so I'm too happy to help him out. We arranged a "Contact-Free" pick-up, (he got some T-Bones & a Big Roast he wasn't expecting, grill your heart out brother!), & I took two of his five seeds.
We've actually been researching hard lately. Everything from Cutting Clones, to Sprouting Seedlings, we've even connected w/ a couple of local grow-suppliers, so I'm cautiously optimistic about how we'll do going forward. The Nute' is a custom blend from the local supplier & it gives specs for Veg. & Flower, but the grower was pretty confident it could help. We PH'd the water w/ 2ml. of fresh Lemon Juice (to 2L of Water), before we added Nute's, the Nute's were the same ratio, 2ml. to 2L, (after we PH'd).
You can see our next steps in the pics. Waiting for the seeds to drop & soaking the Rock-Wool as we wait.
Any comments are greatly appreciated! Praying for Good Vibes!
So ...
Why did we start w/ Rock-Wool & end-up in Solo Shot-Cups? 1st, let me note how proud I am of these little ladies. Little girl has gotta' be an inch & a half (plus) above the top of the cup & the big girl is two inches for fun. They are loving the LED Bank they have all to themselves & I've had them sitting in a plastic Tupperware tray, each isolated under a glass jar, just about 18 hours of light per. day, since Saturday, (Nov. 21st).
I started by soaking the seeds & soaked the Rock-Wool at the same time, (refer to germ. week #1 for nutes., etc.). I used a 7/16" drill-bit (& my fingers) to put a hole in the rock-wool about 3/4" down. Once the seeds were soaked, I shook the rock-wool out, put the seeds in & used a tooth-pick to push them to the bottom of the hole, they sat under their LED Bank on a desk for the 1st couple of days, (18 hrs. on).
I had an electrician in the room on Monday & I was able to move them into a tent by Tuesday. What happened goes like this; I was crazy happy to show my son the work in the room, so, Monday night,(happy birthday to me), after we talked about improvements going forward, we came back upstairs & he asked me about the Rock-Wool & how I felt it was going. I explained that each time I had checked, it was retaining moisture just as I expected it would. Then I started to spin-out, over-think, did not sleep well & bring on Tuesday morning. I headed down stairs to check on the ladies and brought out the seedlings. I looked into the hole, saw nothing & decided to "pop-out" the seeds & there were two adorable little tap-roots"!
I instantly ran to the shed, got two shot-cups worth of soil & in they went, Lesson Learned! I kept conditions as consistent as I could, they went back under their jars & back to their spot under their LED Bank, in the tent, two days later, here we are! Had I just left well enough alone, I'm sure I would have seen leaves coming out of the rock-wool yesterday, I'm just happy these little ladies were tough enough to survive my in-experience.
Please; Any thoughts, ideas, critique or suggestions would be not only welcome, but greatly appreciated!
These little ladies have not had an easy start. Yesterday was officially the 14th day since I started the Germination Process. They were "popped" from their Rock-Wool after 3 days, (w/ Tap-Roots). We put them into Solo Shot-cups, (bad idea), they were transplanted into these solo cups, (that went bad, fast), so they were re-planted into fresh soil & they finally found a stable home in the Veg. section of the (new), Lab-Tent. I have been (vocally) loving & cheering these little girls on, spritzing them a little here & there, they got a small drink a few days ago. After that 1st real drink (after all the trauma), they finally started to come around. Yesterday, the top-soil was dry to the touch, so they got a couple oz.’s of water each, (w/ some nutes) & a spritz each. I remain optimistic & am so grateful for how strong & patient these girls have been with us. Today's pics are after last night's big drink. I did about 3ml > 2L of water & gave them about 2oz. each. You can clearly see how happy they are & I really am, so incredibly thankful for theses tiny ladies, their strength & how patient they've been. Lord knows we need all the "patience" we can get!
On a side note, our old "Flowering Tent" has found a new purpose as our Lab-Tent. The little girls are currently occupying the lower Veg. area, it seems like they're happy there so we will leave well enough alone. Going forward the top shelving area will be for seedlings & clones, Veg'ing in the bottom. We will have to dial in ventilation throughout the room, but we couldn't be happier.
Harvesting the OGPK / Northern Lights on Monday.
3 Weeks in The Books!
As we close out Week #3, these little ladies took a big drink at their last watering. I stayed with 2ml (Custom Nutrient) > 2L Water & each girl took about 2oz.’s. They have definitely come to life this week. It should be noted that Veg,’ing in the big tent, (w/ the new girls) means they’re getting Big Light, (LED, Full Veg, no Bloom added). We are all crazy excited. Just knowing how they started out, how well they've weathered us "Newbie's" & how well they’re doing now, is a very real sense of Good Works!
((( If your watching our other Diary, We've just harvested the OGPK & Northern Lights. The Lab-Tent is drying the harvest, so everything else has been moved into the big tent for now. Once drying is done, we'll flip the new girls & these little ladies will head back to the Lab-Tent to put on some weight. )))
So; the little ladies are really starting to get bushy, there's been no real vertical growth yet. As I've taken these on for a buddy, and I'm a total Newbie, I have no real experience to draw from. Everything I'm learning is brand-new; as a grower, and in regards to this, or any new strain. I would have expected some vertical movement by this point, but I can't really draw from anything other than the plants we've flowered thus far.
We have 4 weeks in the books for these little ladies & the journey has been fun. From sprouting in Rock-Wool, to transplant, to another transplant & still another transplant to fresh soil, these girls have had a ride. They finally found a stable, happy home in the bottom of the Lab-Tent, only to be moved into the Big Tent & Big Light w/ the New Girls while we dried our last harvest. It's my best guess that they definitely preferred that environment & the big lights, mostly because we can flip the big lights to "Veg. Only".
In this last week, the Big Girls got hair-cuts & were flipped to 12/12. We put the dried harvest into jars for curing, so these little ladies found their way back into their spot at the bottom of the lab tent. I also pushed their water-schedule an extra day to sync-up with the big-girl's water-schedule, so they got a little dry by the time they got their big-drink last night. They got the usual 2ml. Nutrient to 2L Water mix, but I definitely gave them a bigger drink. They also got their spritz & by this morning they had definitely perked-up. You can clearly see the yellowing on their leaves. The boy is convinced that this is from the LED Bank we have in place in the bottom of the tent & I don't disagree. I know that the big lights in the big tent each have Veg. / Bloom / or Both; options, while both banks in the Lab-Tent are "On" or "Off", so I imagine they are both a harsher light source.
Any input would be appreciated!
I am super, Not Happy, about (what I’m assuming is), Light Bleaching.
I’ve checked back a few times, here & on our Instagram account & no one has weighed in to confirm or offer direction, so I continue to research. Also, having just been pushed back into Lock-Down, the option of connecting with anyone outside of the house is pretty much squashed.
Everything I’ve read points to Light-Bleaching. In every post I’ve seen, “Nute. Burn” has fairly distinct “burning” & crispy edges around the leaves. What we’ve experienced is two young plants that have found themselves growing ever closer to a fairly bright & intense light source, with little to zero “burning” or crispy edges to the leaves, until today.
On their last water, (Dec. 23rd/2020), they both got a smaller drink & I also re-arranged the lighting set-up they share with the clones in the Lab-Tent. We’ve had two lights running in the lab tent. The 1st is a 300W LED Bank we got w/ our initial kit & the 2nd is a 1K W Bank we added later. The 300 is up top, over the clones & the 1K is in the bottom, (these girls were Veg.’ing in the bottom). My working theory has been that they may be getting too much light via the 1K plus added drench from the 300W. Add to this, that they are growing, ever closer to the LED Bank & the “Bleaching” Idea just pans out, (at least, for me).
On their last drink, I re-arranged the lighting. I moved the 300W down to the bottom & the 1K up, over the clones. You can clearly see the results. We made zero improvements. They were pretty dry today, as was the surface soil for the clones, so everyone got a big drink & a big spritz. I noted 2 two crispy leaf tips on PE#2 & she’s been the bigger of the two girls. I’m chocking this-up to the girls going pretty dry between waters. Today, we took the shelving out of the Lab-Tent entirely. After getting their drinks & trimming-up some leaf tips on the clones, everyone went back into the tent, zero shelving. There is now 43.5” from the top of the plants to the LED Bank. We’ll see where we land next week.
Any In-put, Thoughts, Ideas or Insights are Welcome!
So;
I touched base w/ our family friend, (who I’m growing these PE’s for) & after some friends on Grow Diaries weighed in, my theory about Light Bleaching fell flat & Nute. Burn becomes the most likely culprit. Going forward, Straight Water, No Nutes., Time for a Flush …
My buddy also suggested a Re-Pot (for his little girls) & I felt like, that being a solid plan, here we are. I wish I could have got my hands on more soil, but with our Province in lock-down, supplies are scarce. I certainly would have preferred them sitting much higher in their pots, but in any event, they definitely have much more room than they had in the Solo-cups.
I was also told not to worry so much about yellowing & concentrate on New-Growth & w/ (last night), being the 3rd Water since their Re-Pot, I’m actually pretty happy w/ how bright & green these girls are looking. At this point, I want ‘em to get Big, Bushy & Healthy & this being week #2 of a 10 week flower for the Big Girls, these little ladies have plenty of time to do just that. As rough as these girls have had it, I’m more than a little “Cautiously Optimistic” about this latest move & how well they seem to have made this transition.
I’m Watering & Spritzing the girls along the same schedule as the Clones we attempted from the Big Girls, before they made their flip. Since I’ve cut out Nutes., I’m watering w/ Straight Water, PH’d w/ 2ml, (freshly squeezed lemon juice) to 2L water. The PE’s are getting about a litre per. water, while each clone has been getting 2 oz.’s per. water.
On a side note, Thursday, (December 31st) marked 14 days for the clones we attempted & I’m thinking these little ladies are killing it! I want to offer huge thanks to the Grower’s Community. Being able to connect & digest all of the help, support, encouragement & input that everyone offers, so freely, makes this whole experience fun & fulfilling, Thank-you!
So;
For their last water (Thursday, 1/7/2021), they got “Straight Water”, from the tap & nothing else, (1L each) & they also got a small haircut. For last night's water, (Sunday) they got the same. For Thursday's trim, (with the exception of two of the larger, top fans, on #2), anything “crispy” & anything that had yellowing was trimmed & WOW, these little ladies have exploded over these last few days. They are 6” & 6 1/2” tall (above soil) respectively & that’s 4” of growth since re-potting. The lower growth is especially exciting. I wasn’t sure about the re-pot & sorting out the Nute. Burn had me obviously, concerned so, seeing all the bright green clusters of growth & activity certainly puts my mind at ease.
The goal here is to get them into the middle, (to the end) of February. We’ll be harvesting the Big Girls at that time & be looking for our next flower & hopefully these ladies will be ready. I’m crazy excited to see what 8 more weeks of Veg. will bring for these girls.
We took the Clones out of their bottles on the same day the PE’s got their haircut. This was 3 full weeks from the day we took them. Being on the same schedule as the PE Girls, they’ve been getting straight water as well (2 oz.’s each) & as of today, we lost one. The remaining 6 are still looking pretty happy. I’m chocking the remaining yellowing to the Nute. Burn. We’re definitely keeping our fingers crossed. As always, we welcome any thoughts, ideas and input.
Wishing Everyone, Good Health, Happiness & Genuine Joy!
🤓❤️
Well, typically, #1 Son will check daily. He’ll pop his head into the tents & check-in on progress, I’m more of a leave well enough alone, kind’ a guy. I probably should be more active & I’m getting there as we go forward, but I’m not gonna’ lie, I love the feeling of being surprised after a day or two. I know that they’ll be O.K. for a day or two, after a water; so I don’t mind giving them their space & opening the tent after a couple of days to all the new growth & greenery & that feeling of genuine surprise, makes me so happy!
Also, it should be noted, that with this latest round, #1 has been “in-charge” of Flowering The Big Girls in the Big Tent, while I’ve been focusing my attention on the Pineapple Express Grow & the Clones we took from the Big Girls, so our attentions have definitely been split. He definitely likes to keep his eye on things though, so these last few weeks, when he pops-up stairs after checking in & says things like; “Remember when Suff’s girls were all yellow & you had to start that whole process of trying to get them to heal”, (as if that hasn’t been my whole life for the last few weeks), I know he’s excited about what he’s seeing. This week I watered on Wednesday & (last night) Saturday & when he came-up on Thursday, he was excited.
I am so grateful for the opportunity to take these little ladies from seeds to the full on plants they’ve become today & if I haven’t said it before, I want to say it now; “Thank-you”, to Suff, for the opportunity & to everyone that has offered an idea, or some input. What an incredible feeling, to open that tent last night & see these ladies exploding from their pots; Alive & Well!
The last two waters have been the same since I started the “Flush” from the Nute. Burn., Straight Water, from the tap. While I was PH’ing w/ 2ml. (Fresh Squeezed) lemon juice to 2L water, at first, I’ve completely cut any additive in the last two weeks, watering with about a Litre & a half, every third day. The girls are fairly damp each time, so a “top-up” seems to be the routine. I’ve spritzed them on their last two waters & they seem to really respond to the spray. The girls “Spit-up” a little, (leaked from the bottom) on their last two waters & the run-off was very dark & orange, but I’ve not seen them happier!
On The Clones, The Tut Girls are going crazy & definitely doing well, The Black Domina ladies seem stable, but taking their time & Hawaiian Snow is hanging on, for the time being. They were damp & got a Healthy Spritz but no Water on Wednesday night, I trimmed away anything but new growth on Wednesday as well, & they got a Spritz & water last night, (about 2oz.'s).
I’ve continued to water straight from the tap w/ zero additives, in an effort to “Flush” (early Nute. Burn) & the results are obvious. Looking back a few weeks, when I was first concerned about yellowing, as compared to, today is a night and day comparison. Concerned as I was about the Re-Pot, the girls have absolutely flourished in their new homes, I only wish that I’d have been able to get my hands on more soil. It’s obvious, that they would be that much taller, w/ more room to grow, if they were sitting in the top of their pots. Our plan now is to move these two girls into a couple of 5 Gal. pots our friend left with us, after we harvest The Big Girls. From there, they'll have a few weeks time to settle and adjust before we flower.
The PE ladies get a Litre & a Half w/ each water & are still on the same schedule as The Clones, we give each clone about 2 oz.’s per water. I’m getting run-off from the clones at each water, fairly consistently now & I imagine it may be time to cut back & let the soil dry-up a bit. With The PE Girls, I had run-off after both waters, last week & a bit of run-off on Tuesday night, but they took their Litre & a Half with zero run-off last night. Everyone gets a good spritz in the sink after watering and they definitely brighten right up afterward. To suggest that these ladies have been exploding from their pots these last two weeks would be an understatement. I am completely humbled by how well they’re doing and get more excited everyday.
The Clones are certainly doing better than I imagined. The Tut Girls just keep going, Black Domina seem to be taking their time, yet look a little better at each water & the remaining Hawaiian Snow Lady just keeps on hanging around. I took one crusty leaf from one of the clones last night (can’t remember which) & hopefully they’ll start to brighten-up a bit over this next week.
Great, Big, Busy Week!
So; we got a chance to get out of the house & the local Tack, Feed & Supply store had a crazy good deal on a giant cube of Pro-Mix so Re-Pots jumped right to the top of the to-do list.
As Good as The Pineapple Express Girls have been doing, because the initial Re-Pot to address the Nute. Burn had them so low in their pots, (my-bad), none of the lower growth was getting any light. We agreed that a Good Schwazz was in-order, but didn’t want the trauma so soon after a re-pot & figured we’d let them go. Well, this was the week & the clones have been blowing up so a couple of pots for the Big Tut girls seemed like a solid plan while we were at it.
They all got a decent water on Tuesday night, (past). Same routine, straight water from the tap, nothing added, about a litre for the PE’s & a couple OZ.’s for the clones, they all get a good spritz & back to the lab-tent with a solid pep-talk. They’ve been pretty damp so Thursday was just a Good Spritz Day.
We also got our Likesuns LED Banks for The Lab Tent this week, so when the boys were having their Band Meeting to discuss filming schedules, Baby & I figured it was time for some changes & what better way to cure Lock-Down Boredom!? I’ve been itching to get the Lab-Tent back together & w/ the new LED Banks in, a Cubic Yard of Pro-Mix & all the pots we needed, now was as good a time as ever!
We started w/ a Good Schwazz on the PE girls & got them into their 5 Gal. Pots; this will be their home til harvest. We kept a few bits that seemed to have solid terminal buds & ended up keeping two for clones. We’ll see how they do, if they take, it’s a bonus at this point. From the Clones we took the two biggest Tut Girls & gave them each a new home in mid-size pots that seemed good for Veg.’ing. Once we had everyone potted, everyone got a small drink, a lite spritz & I headed down to the grow-room to put the Lab-Tent back together. With Separate Veg / Bloom / Flower options on these banks, they’re perfect for our efforts in the Lab. If you're watching our other diaries, Josh has been running his latest Flower w/ two of these banks on Full Time Flower & we’re getting the best results & healthiest looking buds we’ve seen yet.
Last night, (Sunday) I took everyone out of the tent. The Pineapple Express Girls got a Litre each, straight from the tap, nothing added. The Clones each got a good drink & are looking amazing. Hawaiian Snow went from “Hanging Around” to a full-on explosion, she looks very happy. Both Black Domina’s are making steady progress, two of the Tutankhamun Girls got new pots of their own while the third is looking healthy, but taking her time. Our newest PE Clones are only a few days out from being taken, so it’s hard to make any notes yet, but we’re hoping for the best. Everyone got a healthy Spritz.
One last note, The Pineapple Express (obviously) got a Big Haircut. We started with Giant Fans & after Re-Pot, it became obvious that much of the lower growth had been starved for light & wasn’t doing well, while some was growing out at weird, awkward angles, trying to find light. We made some judgement calls & while they look weird now, we’re more than optimistic about the next few weeks. It was our initial intention to Re-Pot closer to the Harvest Date for The Big Girls, but this allows the PE’s to have a solid 4 (plus) weeks to hunker down, recover & get as bushy as they want to before we make decisions about flipping. It will be nice to give them some time to be the big healthy girls they want to be.
It's been a week since the Big Haircut & Re-Pot to their 5 Gal. Pots.
On Wednesday night, they each got a litre & a half, (of water) w/ 2ml to 4L of water of the Custom Nute I started with.
Saturday night they each got a litre & a half of Straight Water w/ nothing added as they were still fairly damp. They haven't responded very well & I figure the big schwazz & the re-pot really kicked their buts. I'm still wanting to get some light to the lower growth so this morning, when I saw that they really popped since Wednesday's water I decided they would get another Schwazz tonight. I figure if they're gonna' get beat-up, I'd rather do it now & get it out of the way. We're a few weeks out from harvesting the big girls so we have some time to dial these ladies in before we flip them. I'd much rather get any trauma out of the way now, I can't imagine putting it off til later.
Here's Hoping!
So;
We're 2 weeks out from the Big Schwazz & Re-Pot for the Pineapple Express Girls. As we come to the end of this week, they've had 2 waters. Wednesday night they took 2L each & received 2ml. > 4L, of the Custom Nute. I started them on, in the beginning. Last night (Saturday), they took 2L again, this time, straight water from the tap, nothing added.
We topped the main cola on PE #2 & left her with 2 strong colas up top. #1 is really active up top & we've decided to let her go for the time being. We may top her later. We're trying to encourage bottom growth at this point & starting to see some decent results. We're about 2 weeks out from harvesting The Big Girls from the other Diary & the goal is to have a couple of Big, Bushy, Healthy Girls that we can spend a few weeks dialling in before we flip them & I feel like these ladies are well on their way. They still love getting their Spritz.
On Clones; it's pretty obvious now that we have 6 of the 7 clones we took before flipping the Big Girls, (currently in flower). We ended up with 3 Tutankhamon, 2 Black Domina & 1 Hawaiian Snow. In their solo-cups, they definitely took their time. The problems I experienced w/ Nute. Burn in the PE Girls certainly took-up most of my attention & taking down the Lab-Tent to pull the harder lights away from the PE Girls definitely had an impact. Once we updated, (to the Likesuns) Lights & got the Lab-Tent back up & running (& moved these little ladies to the top half of the tent), they really took off. Not only does this really encourage us for Cloning going forward, but sprouting seeds in the top half of the tent could be something we find some genuine success with.
All the remaining Clones got Re-Pots last night, (Saturday) & the top of the Lab is definitely crowded. I'm excited that we should be able to move these girls around in a couple of weeks. For water, I've been keeping them on the same schedule with the PE Girls. Wednesday, the Bigger Tut Girls each got a good .5L & each of the smaller Clones took about 3 oz.'s. We gave Nutes. (2ml > 4L Water), on Wednesday & Straight Water w/ nothing added, last night, (Saturday). With last night's Re-Pot, (for the remaining Clones), we upped the water to make certain the substrate was good & wet.
As of this morning, everyone is looking pretty happy.
Well;
#1 Son tells me he wants to Flush the Big Girls for the last time, this coming Tuesday, (tomorrow night). With 48-72 hours of darkness to follow, that means we harvest by the end of this week. This also means we move these Pineapple Express girls into the Flower Tent while the harvest dries & that remains their home til their harvest.
I noticed a few small crispy leaves & a couple others that weren't doing very well at all, so I've cut the custom Nute. completely. The PE Girls are still on the same schedule as The Clones so I'll continue to include their updates here, at least for the time being. I've watered twice since last week. The girls all remain fairly damp so I pushed them to a fourth day & ended-up watering on Wednesday night, (past) & then again this past Saturday, (night). Everyone, (clones included) got straight water, from the tap, nothing added. The PE Girls continue to take 2L happily while the Clones have been taking about a half litre. They're doing a lot of spitting-up. They would spit-up quite a bit in their Solo-cups as well, so I'm feeling like I should really try to dial in watering volumes for them. They are clearly, very happy girls, so leaving well enough alone, for the time being is also a solid plan.
Since Re-Pots, I've been Schwazzing everyone, fairly consistently. I'm trying to encourage lower growth for the PE Girls & encourage the Clones to be "Bushy" Girls & I'm super happy with the results so far.
I'll say it again, 6 out of 7 Clones attempted, our first time out, is more than we could have hoped for!
🤓❤️
Thursday past was Harvest Day For The Big Girls. Everyone else got moved to the Big Tent.
PE Girls took 2L water, straight from the tap, nothing added & each clone took about half a litre, they continue to spit up here & there. The PE Girls took 2L on Saturday night & spit-up quite a bit. Clones took a few oz.'s each & only the Tut's & Hawaiian Snow spit-up.
Those little Cloned Ladies are already reach for those Big Lights.
So; it's been a bit more than a week since Harvest & we are, more than ready, to finally Flip these Pineapple Express Ladies. #1 Son took the lead on Nutes. & it seems we're going w/ the same regiment we used on the last flower. We've added a Microbial Mass that can be used from seedling through flower & as these PE Girls have been on the same schedule as the clones, I feel it's worth reporting that everybody has been gobbling up everything we give them.
On the last water I did, I reported that I was actively looking to dial in quantities for the clones as they continued to spit-up w/ each water. I had also reported that the Pineapple Express Girls had spit-up for the first time. Two things that came right to the front as #1 took the lead was that, he has been far more keen to monitor for "Dry Conditions", whereas I typically water, without fail, every 3 - 4 days. Also, the addition of the Microbial Mass seems to have made a significant difference w/ their ingestion & utilization, (of water / nutes.) & that goes for everyone, all the clones as well.
#1 also took the lead on the trim. We've "Palm-Tree'd" the plants prior to flower, each time & actually are far more interested in creating a SCROG, if I'm honest; but with this Flower we decided to stick to what's been working. Since these girls have had only a single, main stock, they're definitely looking a little naked. I gotta' add that I've never seen the boy more confident, w/ the yield we took from the last flower, it's a very exciting time!
The "Lab-Tent" is finally looking like a Lab! We've taken on two more seeds for a family friend, one is "Sugar Black Rose" & the second is "Blue Dream", we took 13 New Clones from PE Trimmings & also learned that 6 Plants makes for a very crowded bottom half of the Lab-Tent ... & we have 13 Brand-New, potential Clones ... 😬😬😬
We plan to Flip this coming Sunday, making the 14th Day #1, of an 8 week flower. We certainly could have flipped these girls earlier, they've been more than ready for a couple of weeks, yet w/ the difficulty they've had, (because I'm a total newb.), I've been more than happy to leave them alone to get Big, Bushy & Healthy. Here's to hoping! Taking these ladies from seed has been a remarkable experience & I'm so very grateful for the opportunity, the help, encouragement & all that we've learned along the way.
🤓
Well; Flower Week #1 officially started this past Sunday, (03.14.21).
I'll note here again, that we certainly could have started these girls earlier, by at least a week, maybe two, but we had more than a few factors to consider. 1st, we had the harvest of the big girls, already flowering & running two tents limits us. Once we were able to free up the Big-Tent, we had these, (PE) Girls as well as Clones to care for & w/ Drying taking over the Lab-Tent, we are limited. 2nd, this is the first time I've ever taken anything from Seed to Harvest & w/ all of the trauma I had put these girls through, I was more than happy to leave them to rest, get big, bushy, healthy & happy & looking at their stalks right now, I'm glad I gave them time.
We are winding down on day #4 of their 1st week & their isn't much to report. They got their 2nd water of their flower last night & they seemed damp to the touch. We let them go a few days before they got their 1st water, (Sunday, Day #1) so they were a little dry for that day & we'll let them go til a least, (this coming) Sunday, leaving four days between waters. #1 Son, seemed fairly happy w/ his efforts from the last flower, so we'll stick with that plan. As I noted in previous diaries, he's been monitoring soil conditions as opposed to my efforts to water every three - four days. I completely agree, his is certainly the wiser approach.
*** The "Microbial Mass" is a Nute. we were introduced to a few weeks ago. It's an Organic that works to Un-Lock Phosphorus & Micro-Notes., that can be added once Veg. begins & then, throughout, as directed. It's included in watering, every 2nd Week, so I've included it in the dial, only for complete transparency. ***
