Water adjusted to 6.5 pH and a more than abundant watering for each of them, with low humidity, and now we just wait to see how they evolve from this CRITICAL nightmare.... Dec 13. Little by little they are reacting and are starting to grow upwards again, the root wash was the solution to my mistake..... It seems they have come out of the critical collapse they suffered last week and are starting to shoot up like crazy, these strains from these banks are amazing... I'm super happy with this completely experimental and collaborative grow, as it allows us, from this garden, to test these genetics that everyone already knows and that bring us so much joy... After the transplant, the girls have been recovering very well, you can tell, and the amount of roots they had helped keep the stress to a minimum. They are now in their final pots, the 7-liter ones, and they'll stay that way until the end... This week has been cold, and honestly, I don't know how they are handling the temperatures in the grow room, but it is what it is, and we'll have to deal with it... For now, the ones leading the pack are the CRITICAL SAMBA, which are already about 35 cm tall... more or less, each around 30 cm. Following them are the BCN CRITICAL XXL at about 30 cm, and the ones lagging behind are the VLC CRITICAL + at around 25 cm. So we'll wait this little week more to move to flowering. And this week, starting from the 4th specifically, we begin with the preventatives: neem oil 1ml per liter potassium soap 2 ml per liter aloe vera 10 grams in total for the liter of water, blended very well and rested for 12 hours As always, I really like using aloe vera for almost everything. Eljardindemargarita_grower 6 WEEKS GROWTH 46 DAYS OLD Hey, Here we are again in another week of this grow diary in my closet 2, where we are doing a comparative follow-up of ALL CRITICAL strains from different seed banks, maybe not very well known by many yet. This week has been cold, the plants have been quite chilly...hahaha They are really handling the low nighttime temperatures and resisting some high humidity, splendid development of all the nodes and branching, great main stem, which is good since they will later have to support the weight of the plant. I should mention that I haven't put in the stakes yet; next week I'll prepare them and start putting them in, to make these big plants a bit sturdier. The response to the low pruning has been extreme; they quickly adapted to the lack of branches and have tended to stretch a bit more upwards. Very little internodal spacing, leaving only about three cm between branching and the next pair of branches. Big leaves are popping up from these girls, some bigger than others, where we can already see the different phenotypes of each genetic mix, so from the same one, we can see the different parents. The critical samba #1 and #3 have longer and thinner leaves; however, #2 has wider and shorter leaves compared to her sisters... Size is already between 35 and 40 cm. The vlc critical plus are really very similar; I don't notice any difference at the moment, very little internodal distance, they look wide and short... we'll see how they stretch now in the first weeks of flowering; for now, I'm very surprised by their big and wide leaves... size about 30, 35 cm. Meanwhile, the BCN CRITICAL XXL are also looking quite uniform; you can already appreciate the two genetic orders (KRITIKAL BILBO X CRITICAL MASS). I think you can clearly see this small but perhaps noticeable difference, with #1 and #2 having slightly more curled and serrated leaves compared to the other two. FEEDING ORGANIC LINE GROTEK This week we had two waterings; since they are drinking more nutrients, we increased the liters and added a bit more food so they can eat well... in these weeks. The LEDs...100w are at maximum power, at a height of about 30/35 cm approximately from the tips of the plants... Very good formation of the plant, good growth, which is now reflected in well-formed flowers waiting to fatten and unleash their full potential... As you can see, all the flowers are formed, now they just need to get fatter and bigger... The week has gone well, with great development of these tips that are starting to join with the flowers that flood the stem... They have stopped growing and are now focusing on the development of the fruits all over the plant. The smell they give off is very fruity; I still can't differentiate the smells of each plant, but the mix is very homogeneous and sweet... The critical samba seem to be leading the way in terms of resin for now, almost all the leaves around the buds are starting to get coated with it... and they are getting sticky... Here we are in another week of this follow-up on the cultivation of critical from various seed banks, this time we are already in the 5th week of flowering of these girls who are starting to stink up almost the whole house, despite having the filter on. All the tips are developing very well, flowers loaded with resin flood almost the entire plant, even the lower buds are packed with sticky trichomes to the touch and with a great aroma they emit. The three critical samba are going like rockets, perhaps a bit more advanced than their fourth sisters, totally loaded and with very good height and stature. You can see that each one has pulled for each genotype, meaning we have the mix of the two parents, two more similar in shape and structure, and the other a bit spicier, more loaded with resin, great size, and strong structure. The two vlc critical plus, wow, very very similar strains, totally achieved, low stature but of great strength, lots of branching and all the flowers are loading up with resin... and the cola with a quite acceptable size, and fattening little by little... The four bcn critical xxl, we can see all the plants are the same, in terms of development they are almost all the same, some a bit more advanced than the others, with quite a bit of branching that are loading up with flowers full of resin, all of them are very similar in structure, size, and shape, the colas are developing and it seems they are going to come out quite a lot, very very appetizing smell... Regarding the sf1000 LED from @spiderfarmer, I must say it is meeting expectations, despite having a maximum of 100w, the plants are developing very good flowers and well loaded with resin, so far no complaints with them, as the growth has been like a shot, after the root blockage I caused at the beginning, due to the pH meter that got misconfigured and wasn’t showing the real pH, and it quickly started to go up again. So we conclude this 5th week of flowering of these critical and dive into the 6th week, let’s hope they keep bearing fruit and really bring out their full potential in the remaining weeks... For now, everything is in order and I’m very happy with the results, as it seems we will get a good gr/w ratio from this crop... and with very good quality and quantity of flowers... They’ve given us so much joy, and I hope the fruits they produce are outstanding in terms of aroma, flavor, and mouthfeel... for now, the aromas have us intoxicated in this house... flooding us with their scents as soon as the grow room opens... Eljardindemargarita_grower Great strain. Very easy to grow with very good results indoors. It adapts easily to any environment, which makes life a lot easier for the grower. A great experience having these strains at home; I’ll say that I’m saving some seeds for the future mother cabinet I plan to set up soon. I’m really looking forward to trying and savoring them well-cured, but now with almost half of the curing done, I can say they are very tasty... pleasantly will be in the aforementioned cabinet.
