🎪I bought a brand new 2x2x4 tent from kijiji for 15 bucks
🔦 85w blurple LED I allready had, and a twist in Blurple LED bulb that I bought from the dollarstore for 2 bucks. (100W total)
⛰️ Making my own mix for medium. I'll be using 50% Promix HPCC (Peat & coco blend), 10% coco that I will prebuffer and 40% perlite. (50/40/10 This allows me to fertigate more often and makes it very difficult to over water.

For nutes I'll be using what I already have.
💨 Airflow I'm using a fan I already have as an outtake fan, and using negative pressure to pull air in. I'll also be using a small fan aimed at the plant later.
🚫No fancy shit. Keeping it simple. This whole grow cost me less than 60 bucks. No humidifier, it's gonna have to grow in low humidity.
🌱Cherry head is a strain from Pure Sun farms, located in BC Canada. It's a cross of Cherry wine and Headband. She has a 8-9 week flower time. This strain is a feminized hybrid 1:1 THC/CBD, each at 5-8%. This is appealing to me because I'm not a fan of high THC strains, but I like CBD. I grow for my wife in my other journals, this harvest is something for me to also enjoy.
🌿I will be utilizing LST and topping to keep the plant SHORT. The tent is only 4 feet tall. I will be vegging her for 3-4 weeks

24/11/2020 - I started 1 seed in spring water at 8pm
25/11/2020 - onto the damp paper towel at 9am
26/11/2020 -Taproot came out overnight 💯Put her into a solo cup at 4pm. Used NPK industries Grow Microbes & mycorrhizae directly onto the tap root.

Seedling week 1
She has grown her first true leaves this week. Still using NPK industries grow microbes, and a tiny but of superthrive.
I didn't check the ph of the spring water as usual, ppms are 300
She was potted up Wednesday, promix HPCC(49%) buffered Coco Coir(10%) Perlite(39%) and high phosphorous bat guano (2%)
She received her first feed Wednesday, ppm 300/.6ec and 6.3ph
shes healthy and not leggy at all
Next week she will be receiving nutes @ 300ppm and 6.0-6.3 ph when moderately dry.
She will be put into 12-12 within the next 3 weeks. Hopefully she grows fast!

27 - Watered with 10ml Spring water
28 - Seed popped, watered 15ml of water. Put a drop of SUPERthrive into 500ml of spring water and used that to water. Switched to 18/6 lighting.
29 - Watered 30ml of regular spring water. The seedling now has its first true leaves.
30 - watered 25ml spring water
-December-
1st -watered 50ml regular spring water
2nd - Transplanted into a bigger pot. Used first nutes @ 300ppm / .6 EC.
3rd - Not watering today
For those who use promix, I'm wondering if you've noticed high outflow PPM from fresh promix? I'm using promix HPCC.
My inflow was 300
My outflow was nearly 2000
I calibrated my bluelab pen to ensure accuracy.
All numbers are on the PPM500 scale.
@nor-cal it depends on what promix variant he’s running. It can run hot in general. We aren’t talking time release nutrient pellets but yes there are amended options mx, bx, etc. Some are loaded with mycorrhizae and other beneficials.
@blood...tough spot for sure. Keep flushing and you’ll stress that young seedling. Don’t flush and you may burn her and stunt her anyways. Try to pull her out with intact root mass and repot and you’ll for sure stress her into a he.

I didn't update this grow because I was working out of town and had long days including my commute. We're now in lockdown and I'm off for at least a month, so I'll update weekly.
This plant had a very severe magnesium deficiency. I've nursed it back with calmag and epsom salts but during the deficiency she had slow growth. It didnt help that I was doing 60-70 hour weeks and couldn't give her the attention she needed. The new growth shows no signs of mag deficiency however, and I'm moving her into flower starting tonight now that shes doing better.
I certainly dont expect a large yeild from this plant. Once I'm finished with this grow I'll give her another go, I still have 3 seeds left.

Having a bit of a fungus knat issue this week, treating with neem oil and nematoads.
The adults have been nibbling on the vegetation, very small holes. I've carefully inspected the plant to be sure it's just fungus knats. The number or adults caught on traps has been doing down significantly through the week since using the nematoads and neem oil.
Considering I had little time to care for her and the gear in the tent shes doing OK. Just OK though, lol. I didnt expect to be working 60+ hour weeks during december otherwise I wouldnt have started her.
Shes getting 500ppm feed and 5.8 pH.
Seeing some signs of sex this week, so shes definitely female.
Like I said last week, not expecting much from her but I will finish her.
Been watering between 500 and 550 PPM (1-1.1ec) at ph 5.9
Lots of stretch this week.
Done with my veg nutes, bloom only now.
Defoliated friday, done with training and defo.
Small plant, but with some more care next round I'll maximize what this strain can do in a 2x2.

She has this one leaf that is more than 9" across and 8" long. Pretty neat
Flushed her Tuesday. Shes definitely growing some buds. Alls well

flowers are coming in dense and smell piney and earthy. They're really starting to stink.

Smelled really good, pine and sweet.
She finished fast in the last week and bulked up heavy. I wanna grow this strain with a better veg, and I will kn my next diary.
Yeild wont be insane, but the genetics are strong. With a proper veg I know i could get 5+oz per plant outdoors. (Spoilers)
