Both seeds sprouted and all went good for the first week. I'm sorry for the lack of informations and photos but I've decided to write this diary only on the 7th week of flowering.
OG Kush is growing without any problem. The Gorilla instead is showing some strange leaves, always curled. I don't know if is the consequence of overwatering or the heat from the lamp combined with low umidity.
The OG is growing rally strong, I've topped her on the third node. On the oder side the Gorilla is still struggling to come out from her problems: slowed growth and strange leaves pattern. I haven't understood which was the problem yet. On this time I was thinking to cut down the Gorilla and push the OG with more vegetative to fill the box, but fortunately my growshopper stopped me! 😂
At the beginning of this week I've topped the OG Kush for the second time on every sprout (maybe to aggressive?). I've made this choice because she was very strong and if the Gorilla went bad you know...
By the way the Gorilla is recovering really really well, so I've topped her on the third node in the middle of the week! She's becoming really bushy now! Fortunately I've decided to continue her growth!
Gorilla recovered so fucking well that I can't belive is the same plant of the third week! She's have so much leaves and no one show the strange initial pattern. She's now growing a little higher than OG Kush.
The OG Kush is going well, but for now she's growing slower. I think that I've stressed her to much with the second top on every sprout in the last week. Anyway despite that she's fine.
Last vegetative week, so I've placed my scrog over the canopy hoping to fill every square during the first weeks of stretching in the flowering stage.
My box is still evolving week by week because I've switched from a 300w Agro cfl, for a more performant CMH 315w 3100k. Furthermore my little oscillating fan litterally exploded, so this is the occasion to review all the air circulation.
I'm now going to install a little 12v fan on the lamp reflector, to bring away more heat flowing air directly on the bulb.
I'm Also installing a bigger fan on the top of the box to get a continuos air flow all over the canopy. That's because I'm scared about molding, in fact during the night the umidity rise up to 70%.
First week of flowering. Everything ok!
OG recovered from the second top and now is growing at a normal rate!
Gorilla is continuing to grow really well! It seems that the problems of the first weeks have never affected this little girl!
I'm a CANNA user by now and I really like their
terra nutes line, but now I'm adding Bud Candy and Bud X Factor from advanced nutrients. Just to try... maybe too much enhancers?
The girls are growing really well! I'm tucking under the net all the branches that are too high for the rest. By now it's going well.
This is my first attempt with scrog, previously I've tried mainlining.
At this time I'm preferring scrog!
Look at all those bus sites!
Look at that canopy!
The pants are way more dense with this technic, let's see if the buds will also be as big as with the mainlining.
The stretching is almost done and the buds are starting to spit out all the pistils! I've done some defoliation on this stage, more on the OG that is very leafy.
Following the CANNA nutes schedule I've switched from terra vega to terra flores at the start of this week since I've noticed some flowers developing.
Both plants are growing really really well.
This week I've experienced the worst nightmare of every grower.
My Gorilla went hermie!
Fortunately only the lower half was affected and the male flowers were clearly noticeable, so I've plucked out every single flower that I've spotted.
To be sure I've pruned a lot of minor branches to have more fisical and visual access to the plant.
Maybe this is the result of all the stress that the plant suffered in the 3/4 weeks of life? Or some little right infiltration that I've found (but very very little).
Anyway I don't want to cut off the Gorilla because I'm growing only two plants so I think (and hope) that I can handle it.
7th week of flowering.
The lollipopping done in the 3rd week ok the Gorilla gave her bigger colas than the OG!
With the OG I left so much little branches, so I think that the smaller colas are caused by this decision. Anyway OG have a lot more colas than the GOR. Will see how it will impact the harvest.
Furthermore the OG is showing some seeds and I'm hoping that the seeds will be not so much on this poor lady.
Watching the Gorilla now I'm happy with my decision to not cut her down on the 3rd W.
@Ferenc, thank you man! I'm now at the 7th of flowering bit decided to do this diary 3 days ago.. so I'm filling week by week only with some residual photos or videos.
