Germination occurred on the 26 of November from direct to soil planting on the 23rd of November in 5 gallon pots of Fox Farm's Ocean Forest. The soil was watered when the seeds were planted with filtered but not PH'd water and covered with a large clear plastic dish to maintain moisture levels.
I'll remove the dish later today when the plants have had time to fully emerge from the soil. So far these pots have just been sitting out in a room and not in the tent while I get the space ready. I'm very excited to see they've both germinated and so far are looking great, not that there is much to see as of yet. I plan to wait 4 - 6 weeks for the first feeding as I've read Ocean Forest has plenty of nutrients to get them started and extra would just cause burning. I picked up Roots Organic's Buddha Grow for a possible vegetative feeding if necessary and General Organics Bloom for flowering and SaferGro PH Down to adjust the PH of the water as necessary.
I'm setting the tent up now, I'm using an old HPS 400w Sun Systems light that I picked up at a great price for this grow while I look at nicer LED lights. I found a Vivosun 4x2 tent on sale that I picked up as it fits my 4x2x5ft grow space like an absolute glove and I'll be running an AC Infinity 4" inline fan through their carbon filter to minimize any smell, as well as pulling out heat and refreshing the air. I already had a Bionaire BT015 fan that I'll at least start the grow with and see if it is able to sufficiently move air around or if I'll need to supplement with a clip fan. I'll show more of the setup in the next update as it will all be put together better by then!
Feel free to leave any comments telling me how to improve!
Thanks, I've been watching your grow as well to make sure I'm more or less on track. Oddly enough, I've got one that's being a bit scrawny and one that is running like a beast just like your run.
