Once I switched to 12/12 I started adding medi-one nutrients which are pretty light but heavier then the supermax. This is my first grow using liquid nutrients so I didn't want to use anything that i could do too much damage with.
The pink lemonade which is on the left side closest to the camera, particularly started to stretch at this point. Being a hybrid compared to the bakerstreet which is mostly indica I wasnt too alarmed by this.
This is shortly after I moved the plants into 5 gallon pots, I waited way too long to transplant but the nutrients seemed to help them bounced back quickly.
After an infestation of fungal gnats it was clear I had to spray down the girls with 2 chemical solutions. I then had to repeat the process a week later while starving my plants of water in order to truly get rid of the persistent buggers.
I spent this week making sure the fungas nats were well and truly gone and giving them a few days to adjust to the hps bulb before switching to 12/12 flower schedule.

Made a rookie mistake and didnt check on the plants for a few days during the big stretch in between this week and last, resulting in one of my bakerstreet plants growing its 2 main colas too close to the light and causing a bit of heat stress. The bud sites on the other plants look fabulous though.
This is the week I was at when I started this diary so everything from here on out is being reported as it happens.
It just occured to me now that I never mentioned that I topped the pink lemonade and 2 of the bakerstreet plants. This is my first time topping and I wanted to leave 1 to grow regularly so I could see the difference for myself. If you cant tell the 1 untopped bakerstreet is in the bottom right corner of the tent.
Gave the plants their first flush, they took well to it and the buds have fattened a bit, had to tie a few string up on pink lemonade and 1 of the bakerstreet in order to keep branches from leaning against the side of the tent. Hoping to give the plants their final flush in the next day or 2.
Gave the plants their second and what should be their final flush. While they are 8 weeks into flowering the trichomes appear to be mostly clear and I was hoping to wait until some start to turn amber before cutting them down, so I'll give them a few more days.
So I haven't smoked too much of the bakerstreet so far and that's partly due to being more happy with the pink lemonade, this strain of hindu kush has gotten complaints about weak genetics, and while I did put these girls through a bit of stress, I dont feel like I ruined the plants, more like these plants aren't that great to begin with.
I may try these again way down the road, maybe in a greenhouse or outdoors to see if they fair any better, but for indoor I feel like they weren't worth the effort and wished I'd just grown 3 more pink lemonade.
While I wont jump at the next strain tweed puts up for sale, I am curious what an experienced grower would be able to do with this strain, at the very least this has been a big learning experience and I'll have some decent bud for making hash/oil.
While the breeder claims this stuff is harder to grow and prefers warmer climates, the buds turned out fantastic in comparison to the supposed "easy for beginners" strain of hindu kush that I grew alongside it.
While the pink lemonade produced slightly less bud then the 2 bakerstreet plants which I had topped and trimmed properly, the quality was far superior, and the smell is so unique. For months my roommate has said he can smell the weed im growing, when he smelt the bud I handed him he exclaimed "this is not what I smelt coming from your room!? What is that?!"
I should give a full disclosure here, this is my 4th successful harvest in my lifetime and this is probably the first time I've been proud of the bud, my trim job wont win any beauty contests but then fact that I'm totally baked by halfway through a joint makes me feel like I've hit a huge breakthrough and I'm now really excited to start my next grow using the same breeder.
Definetly recommended trying 34 street seed co, they are currently to my knowledge the only legal seed supplier in canada that specifically specializes in breeding, as all the other providers seem to primarily generate income from selling buds, which obviously begs the question "wheres the motivation to provide you with solid genetics to grow at home?"
This probably looks like I'm shilling for them hard but I'm willing to bet at least 1 or 2 guys on here remember their first decent crop and how excited you felt in the days after.
Super happy with this stuff, already grabbed 2 more strains from the breeder but I'm 100% coming back to pink lemonade again, going to try growing them in the summer sometime to see if the consistent warm temps have a positive effect on the yield.
