I used just plain ph adjusted tap water to germinate the seed. It popped after 4 days on Nov 18th 2020. I moved it over to my bucket on 11/21 and then added the first run of nutes for the rest of the week.
Ph averaged 5.9 with a day and night temp of about 71. RH running 49 percent.
I hit all kinds of problems with nutrients. Evidently I had them way to high for the growth stage and caused all sorts of burn.
I cut nutes out almost completely at day 10 and am going to slowy pull them back in after a couple of more days. As can see from the photos I think the girl will make a recovery but I have no idea how far back I have set this little auto.
This is why I started with just one. I figured if this way I can kill just one! Sooner or later ill get a handle on this method hahahaha. Im still hopeful though.
Well cutting back the nutes stopped the burn. She started to show nitrogen deficiency but as I got the nutes back up that stopped too. The newest leaves look good to go with no yellow and hopefully I am back on track! One root had snuck into the solution about day 16 and now they are really starting to come down.
Well she seems to have recovered from the nute burn that I gave her in the first week. I removed the burnt vegetation and she has put on 1.25 inches since last week.
Roots have pretty much exploded into the solution now and this is just to cool.
Feeding well with ph and nutes really very stable so I am not going to raise her nutes any more until I see her start to transition to flower.
I have used lst on a couple of other auto grows in soil and outside, this lady I think I will just let run amok.
I was going to just let her run but since she is looking so much better and not flowering yet I did some VERY light defoliation. I only removed the leaves that had been so badly burnt and a couple of big fan leaves to open up some of the lower growth tips to the light. I will also be raising the nutes for the next week. So far so good.
Although she is set back from my poor start she is doing well. I did a wee bit more light defoliation and leaf tucking.
She bounces right back and is just starting to show signs of flowering. Res change and nute adjustment tomorrow.
She is still way behind ( all my fault) but doing very well. She is starting to flower fairly well with pistils showing up in good shape. From here out I am just going to let her run. I want her as much done as possible before I flip the photos in her room to flower.
Well the nutrient burn start is really starting to show problems on the tail end of the grow. Shes doing ok but buds are not really fattening up or going to the pretty red color very much. Pistils are all over and piles of trichomes that are running out onto the fans and all over. She smells awesome. Im hoping she picks up a little before its time to chop.
I think shes nearing done and I am going to change out res this week at some point to flush. I believe the nutrient burn i caused back at the start set her back that this is the best im going to do. I will grow another for sure now that I have a better Idea of what I am doing! As a friend says, "its called a learning curve".
hahahahahah
I think she is about done. Buds didnt fill in as much as expected and not red to speak of. I attribute that to my mistakes at the start. Covered with crystals though even out onto fans lol. I will start flush soon and then shes coming down.
Probably a good thing since I am going to flip the switch on her roomies today.
Chopping tomorrow. I flipped lights for the other girls and want to get her out. Shes not quite what expected lol but absolutely all my fault.
we will see when im done.!
Some how i deleted last weeks entry oh well
Burning it told the tale. The buds were really loose and airy, no fault to the breeder, its all on me lol. I harvested 26.35 grams despite this. I also kept the trim as the trichomes were scattered all lover the plants
Since my plan is to turn it all into concentrate oil for my back I did not get real fussy on the trim but it is still fairly close. I did forget to get a weight right at trim.
I did try a small bit and found it to be pretty relaxing. No high to speak of which is what I expected.
We will see how the other three plants do that are still in there.
I definatly want to try this one again now that i have half a handle on the hydro workings.
Thanks S S
