[12/26/2020 edit] Finally starting 🤩🤩🤩 As per Growers Choice Seeds, using the water - paper towel method for germination
[12/30/2020] Now in the soil 🌱🌱🌱
[1/3/2021] While waiting for the super soil to arrive, I started planting them in plastic cups.
[1/5/2021] True leaves are starting to come out!
[1/8/2021] More leaves! 🌱🌱🌱
[1/10/2021] In the morning both seedlings were standing tall, looking real good, but in the late afternoon Tangerine Dream fell over and is no longer standing up. Whyyyyyy?😭😱😢
Waiting for citric acid (ordered from Amazon) before fully watering--my water is around 8.5pH and need to get it down to 7-6.3pH.
Misting at least every other day so that it doesn't get too dry (below 30% humidity).
1/25 Watered both plants 1L
They both look pretty 😍
Not planning on watering them again until next week, but please do let me know if I should do so sooner.
1/26 The temperature is reaching 89F (31.67C) after turning the light to max, so upped the fan speed to 5 from 2.
1/29 Watered some more since the soil was pretty dry and some leaf tips were yellowing (see photos). TD = 8" (20cm) / CP 11" (28cm)
They both started flowering. It feels way too early, but oh well, it is what it is. I guess I'll switch the stage to the flowering one here as well.
2/7 Lowered the light as per advice (used to be at least 3x farther up) and removed some fan leaves from Tangerine Dream
2/9 Watered about a liter each
2/21 The soil was dry-ish so watered again 1L each even though only after 2 days. They are no longer drooping (good sign, right?), whew...but some leaves have yellowing tips. Will see how that develops...
2/25 Watered 0.5L each. The air's been really dry for the last 3 days, so misted twice today.
3/2 They are looking sad with some yellow leaves. CP is leaning over😱 I'm too scared to overwater but might be under watering from the way they look. I watered some today, about 1L each, and will check on a daily basis as per friend's advice. I removed the yellow leaves after I took these photos. I'll take more photos later this week and see if they improve.
3/14 Watered ~1L each. More CP leaves are yellowing. A bit concerned.
3/15 See photos... CP leaves that are yellowing have darker brown spots. Why are they affected like this???
3/18 Water 1.5L each.
