09/12/20 : Received the seeds from RQS today (GreenGelatoAuto/RoyalHazeAuto/BlueCheeseAuto& free NorthernLights Auto) and a new QB samsung ledlight. Grow cabinet is already equipped with 2 autopot 15l system; the GGa and the NLa will go first as i can't wait 4months for harvest :-) The autopots were filled with a bottomlayer of 2.5cms Pebbles and topped with a 55/45% Plagron coco / Plagron Perlite mix. First water is clear Ph adjusted. No nutrients yet. Will start feeding once the head shows up.

16/12 : seedlings streched à little too much. Dimmed light up from 50% to 80%, topped 1,5 cms of substrate. 19/12 : Started to feed with hesi root ± tnt + supervit at recommended doses. They feel good, nice green, starting their 3-fingerd leafs. We see them growing now. 20/12 : a littleconcerned about the colors on the leaves. 21/12 : dimmed the light and heightened it. Not getting worse. Next leaves looking ok. She'll get over it I guess.

Hi all. I'm a little concerned about the color and leaf structure if my baby green gelato auto from RQS. What trouble can cause that?

Wait a couple days to see if she grows out of it, sometimes they are freaky at birth but straighten themselfs out later on. Consider if you are not overwatering, if the ph is correct, if temps and humidity is correct and check the light distance aswell, make sure everything is good, and if she starts getting more and more yellow it might be the plant that needs nitrogen. It also appears to be a hole in the soil in the bottom portion of the soil while looking at the provided picture, are you watering right on top of the plant? If you are doing this, don't as you will hurt the roots by leaving wholes like that wich expose the roots, try using a water bottle with some holes in the cap and gently sqezing it so the water doesnt come out with too much pressure, this way you can water right on the side of the plant without moving or risking damaging the roots. Stay lit growmie and good luck.

This week the grow went bongo. The green gelato has had a growthspur but will go to the trenches anyway as she is a fighter. As I grow in a limited space I fimmed the GG to limit her vertical growth and hope the NL ,she shares the space with will catch up. I probably will leave the NL as is.

First attempt at fimming seemed failed. I had the impression that the leftover growth bsimply continued growing without changes in structure. I'm torturing this one anyway sibibgave it a second try. This time removing over 85% if the top in stead of 75%. We'll see. She received first lst step also. Mainstem bend.

All looking great. Expect her to go into flower this week. Probably a light defoliation tomorrow because she is getting very massive. A lot of budsites. She will fill half of the closet. Until today no signs of preflowers 21/01/21 : white bumps on main stem near base. Not sure what it is but dipped with white vinegar and tea tree oil. Some light defolliation and put a fan on the base. Rh=45-55% 24°C so shouldnt be a problem. Plant healthy and vigourous for the rest.

The white lumps are perfectly normal for cannabis plants and is not a disease, deficiency or problem of any sort and does not require any treatment at all. The white bumps are where roots would grow from if your plant was to accumulated humus/compost or even fallen leaves, around the stem that cause dark and damp conditions favourable to inducing new root growth. Cannabis is an opportunistic plant and these secondary root formation (potential) sites demonstrate how she has adapted to boosting growth later in life by the possible accumulation of matter around her stem that would then allow her to boost her water and nutrient scavenging ability and increase her health and growing potential. Pretty smart indeed! What occurs is that basal cells programmed for root growth will accumulate near the base of the stem, they being the white lumps that have for now developed a hard crust as indicated by the white colour of the bumps. If the crusted over white bumps are softened from the moisture of accumulated matter around the stem and it buries the white lumps, roots will then burst forth from the white lumps to supplement the plants water and nutrient needs. Usually a single woody type of root will emerge from the white lumps rather than fibrous multi branched roots. Many people who have mulched their plants, especially outdoors, will be aware of this phenomenon. Hope this helps,..... Organoman.

Bad start... Noticed some white lumps on the stem with was apparently benign. 2 days later the stem is browning and it seems to go up into the side branches. I will watch her closely but prepare to mourn. To ease the pain I germinated a blue cheese auto from RQS. That diary will follow soon.
