fraankiiee I have equipped my growbox Bonanza Sanlight Q3W with a Meross MSS425EEU-R smart plug to automate the activation of the Winflex extractor, the Meross MSXH0 smart humidifier, and the EzLife Mini Fan. I control humidity and temperature with the UbiBot WS1 wifi thermometer. I have integrated automation and sensor visualization with the HomeAssistant app (https://www.home-assistant.io), which allows me to automatically activate the light, extractor, humidifier, and fan according to the conditions of my grow. I follow the VPD technique to give my plants the best thanks to HomeAssistant, which allows me to automate the activation of the humidifier or extractor based on the conditions of my growbox, constantly controlling the temperature and humidity.

fraankiiee As my buddy @HageWeed said, I thought they were too small for LST, so I only did it on two that I saw were more advanced, a California Kush and a Cream Caramel. I've raised the humidity in the growbox and lowered the temperature a bit (0.2º). The two Cream Caramel have already started pre-flowering, they have pistils now.

The roots are showing through the holes at the bottom of the pot. I have 2 cm of clay pebbles at the bottom of the pot and I don't have a saucer under the pot. Is it normal for the roots to show through the holes? What is it due to? Should I put saucers under the pot? It usually doesn't drain.

It looks like your pots are big enough to me mate.It just means you've got some really healthy roots/plants.its very normal. Some strains can have 3-4 times more than others, and some are thicker with less branching. Its a good sign my friend. They're very happy.

I see they already have a lot of leaves. Would you recommend a defoliation? I'm hesitant, as I don't want to stress them too much and slow down growth in this last week, although I think it would be good for light penetration. Or should I lower the light a bit instead?

Your plants will grow its fastest if you leave every healthy green leaf in place. Each healthy green leaf you remove will reduce your plants ability to photosynthesise, reducing in less energy production and slower growth. Autos need as much energy as possible to be able to grow its largest. Less leaves - less energy produced = slower growth. Plants can not "channel" energy to where man thinks it should go. All energy is used throughout the entire plant, with no energy highways or a brain deciding where energy should go. Shaded "bud sites" are relying on the shade leaves to produce the energy for that "bud site" to grow. Anyway, in 2-5 days, the "bud site" that is shaded will grow from under the shade leaf, using the energy made by that shade leaf, making the removal of the shade leaf pointless. Just remember ; fewer healthy green leaves = less photosynthesis = less energy produced = slower and possibly smaller growth. Cannabis has evolved to grow her biggest and best flowers and this does not involve getting rid of healthy green leaves. Less leaves = less energy produced = slower growth. Hope this helps,.... Organoman.

I have some yellow tips. Can someone tell me what it might be? Especially in the first photo. The plant looks healthy, however, it has that leaf with the yellow tip, just that leaf.

Don't worry about it, plants do strange things at times and what you have is relatively common in cannabis cultivation. Not all leaves will be perfect. Nothing can be done to prevent it or correct it. It is just like how some humans have a "birthmark" or freckles. It is just a lack of pigmentation, probably a slight defect it that leaf that has prevented the chlorophyll from forming. Hope this helps,.... Organoman.

fraankiiee The Cream Caramels are still flowering at a good pace, but the California Kush haven't quite started to flower yet. I've put a net on them and trimmed a bit of the lower branches to see if that helps. The pots' saucers are full of roots, which indicates they are healthy. For being autoflowering, I find them a bit late.

fraankiiee We started the sixth week with all the plants in flowering. The Cream Caramel are about two weeks ahead, and the California Kush have already started to bloom. I applied LST again to one of the California Kush since it was stretching a lot. The California Kush are much bushier than the Cream Caramel and have them cornered at the end of the closet. I hope they bulk up a lot more this week.

fraankiiee We started the seventh week of life with no apparent changes. The Cream Caramels are still fattening up slowly; I really doubt they'll be ready in 8 weeks from germination as the bank says. The California Kush are still growing and producing more and more flowers, although there's one that looks really sad since the defoliation applied last week. I hope they bulk up a lot this week. pH and EC issues. The California Kush have been affected much more: thin leaves of a strange radioactive green, evident phosphorus deficiencies, and slowed flowering. The Cream Caramels seem to be affected less: evident phosphorus deficiencies and slightly slower flowering. I hope to correct these issues soon and that they continue to bulk up at a good pace.

1st picture: Looks like molybdenum deficiency, happens only when pH isn't in the good range, and CalMag deficiency also then can be also caused by bad pH, due the differences of nutriments absorption at different pH level. 2nd : Totally agreed with @Imagine, for me its phosphorus deficiency. So all can be fixed or upgraded at least with right pH control and enough feed. As flo has begun be careful root stress in these times might be deadfull. Hope you will cure them and see them BLOW 😍 Again good luck mate !

Hi !

fraankiiee I'm starting this week with changes in the layout of the lettuces in the cabinet and raising the CCs since they were a bit low and receiving little light, although I'm not sure if I did it right. This is the last week I'm giving nutrients to the CCs, as they have a shorter flowering period than the CKs. Both CCs are turning a purple color that I don't know the reason for. I think it might be due to the temperature, since being lower they have less heat, but that hasn't slowed their growth. Maybe Sweet Seeds made a mistake when packaging the seeds and they aren't what they claim to be. The CKs seem to be recovering at a slow pace, although one is still very yellow and another has quite a few spots appearing on the leaves. I've added phosphorus and they don't seem to be recovering. I hope this week is decisive and they bulk up a bit before their flowering cycle ends.

Looks like a bad case of calcium deficiency or heat stress. If temps aren't too high or humidity too low, I'd say calcium deficiency

fraankiiee I'm starting the last week for the CC. They look done and have plenty of translucent trichomes. I'll wait a couple more days for the white pistils they still have to mature, and then it's harvest time. The CK aren't recovering, I think they might be beyond saving, but I'll just leave them there alone to see if they improve.

fraankiiee

@Karybouh, I already bought a pH pen and another one for EC & TDS, and you were right, my pH is way too high and my EC is really low. Thanks for your advice, broo. 👌💪

Karybouh commented6y ago
@fraankiiee, Np mate. Hope best for you👍 pH levels can totally screw EC results. Try to correct pH of water and add nutriments after this check EC if it's coherent. If you can overwater them(one at least) with usual mix (and stabilized pH) and test you drained water, you may collect many clues on what is [going wrong/not the best way] in the substrate. Example : I overwater them with pH 6.2 EC 1.6 °, collected water is pH 7 and EC <1, quick conclusion soil is to basic need to water even with lower pH to equilibrate substrate. Tip: White vinegar(9-12% MAX) works well as ph-, for me it's 3ml(9%WV) added to 2L of tap water(decanted24h) to get pH 5.9, perfect for my coco grow.Hope I'm understandable 😅 and didn't given too much info.

fraankiiee commented6y ago
@Karybouh, Hey bro. Thanks for your explanation. 👍 I'm watering with pH 6.3 and TDS 630, but I haven't overwatered any yet to measure the runoff. I hope to do that this week and analyze the results. The water from my tap comes out with pH 7.2, and I lower it by adding a few drops of lemon juice. To increase the EC, I add chimney ashes and correct the pH again. It seems like things are improving a bit, but until I analyze the runoff water, I won't have any solid conclusions. Thanks for your advice.

@fraankiiee,I see that you have already done some LST, doing it too early slows down its growth, wait until the internodes have already formed around day 30/35, if you are not in a hurry. Otherwise, it counts a few more days between the various LST;)
