Really excited about this grow...took clones from 2 females and one was definitely stronger than the other. Took 4 clones from 3 donors.
Fingers crossed, let’s get growing!
Update 12/11 - Opening up the dome in tiny daily increments to harden the clones. So far, so good. Girls are doing well and leaving them alone. New pic added.
Well, went 12 for 12 on the clones taking root. Transplanted 9 into Solo cups. Added DYNOMYCO Premium Mycorrhizal to the growing medium and directly to the roots.
Added B-52 and Fish Shit to stimulate root development.
Now to see how they take.
Kinda slow week, watered as needed and checked in daily. Clones have taken nicely and starting to reach. Still have about 3 weeks to go before they occupy the grow room, so don’t want them getting too big.
Love the way they are doing.
With about 3 weeks left on the last grow, these girls are just chomping at the bit. Going to top them this week so moved them into their own cabinet to fill out.
Decided to keep them in the solo cups as I don’t want too stress em out.
Going to up the nutrients this week, see how it goes.
Well, a few days earlier than expected but yesterday was moving day. The last grow finished on Sunday so after harvesting 7 plants, put the girls in their new homes.
Used Pro Mix BX growing medium with mycorrhizae and a weak solution of nutrients with added B vitamins and fish shit. Raised the lights to 36” so that the plants focus on root development for the first week.
My goal this grow is to stay in vegetation stage for about 4 weeks and then flip to flowering. Past experience with both these strains shows they perform better smaller. Also, plants are 6 weeks old so they are technically mature. I found that 6 weeks gives me time to adjust should clones fail or issues arise. Having a separate clone box helps develop the plants ahead of transplantation in the grow room and drops my total grow cycle by 4 weeks, allowing me to have 4 grows per year versus 3.
Win Win!
Checked on the plants later today and all looks good in the hood. Let the growing begin.
Update-Transplanted the donor plants to larger pots. Everyone is doing well and taking to their new homes nicely.
Well, prep time for flipping to flowering. Took all plants back to 4 nodes and all big fan leaves. Pics are the before and afterwards.
On Sunday, going dark for 36 hours and switching to flowering nutrients.
Flipped to flowering this weekend. Added growth cages to aid in growth and development and watering.
A little shorter than I’d hoped for but not worried. Last grow had a seed auto flower and it really produced for a small plant. All good in the hood.
Went to town on the trimming and defoliating. Found with blue dream that they get really gnarly if you don’t maintain the inside. You will lose bud sites but they won’t produce much anyway.
Couple of weeks to go!!!
