Freshly transplanted with 3 other girls in this small 2x4 tent. (Lemon Thai, Green Crack & Green Poison)
The plant structure is already to my liking, getting bush w/o topping so just LST all day!
Kept them in the 1 gal for a little longer than I would've liked but they seem to have adjusted fine to their new home.
Few lessons learned from my first run of new living soil mix. Will see how I do this run!
11dec UPDATE 1: early signs of deficiency showing. Calcium is my best guess. One other plant from this round & two of the flowering plants (see other journal) showing deficiency. So out of 7x10 gal pots, 4 are showing deficiency which I may top dress in. Keeping my mind also on Mulder's Chart and the effect offsetting any nutrient ratios.
12dec UPDATE 2: I've opted to go for short term solution in form of WCA (KNF input). As I'm led to believe being the first run in the mix, the slow release Calcium sources had not gone through its process yet. See how it goes! Learning lots so far.
Wowza this was a stressful week to say the least!
So there has been a wide spread signs of deficiency with my original soil mix. From my research cannabis is very heavy on consumption of Calcium and Magnesium, especially in flower.
However as soon as I transplanted into the soil mix, this strain immediately was unhappy and I needed to correct this or my future runs will be in jeopardy.
My research led me to KNF and its various elixirs for optimal plant health. I quickly got to work on creating Fermented Fruit Juice (w banana) for magnesium and Water-Soluble Calcium (WCA).
I still needed time for FFJ to be ready so I started with a foliar feed and soil drench with WCA diluted to 1:1000 & pH to 6.3. Results were not apparent immediately because I had to wait for signs to show in the new growth.
After a long few days, I was blessed with bright green growth without any variagation or pigmentation. I will follow up with an application of FFJ before next journal entry so here's hoping she looks even better by then!
Not much to update this week. Plant has brushed off early signs of deficiency with my application of KNF-WCA. Flipped to 12/12 4 days ago. I have some FFJ ready for any signs of trouble in flower.
I've let her get a little bushy so I have a better chance taking clones next week. After that she'll be cleaned up and ready to show off!
Happy growing!
She's a growin' and reaching. The plant is happy as could be and tallest of the bunch. This was a free bean and love it the most out of the bunch.
Gave one watering with knf inputs and
rest with just kelp+water. Hoping to mitigate the deficiencies experienced in other runs with KNF inputs ready to go.
Happy growing!
unsulphered molasses, I've been using Crosby's fancy molasses, once/week 2-5mL/ L
no preservatives, and it has everything your plant needs here's a list of ingredients.
sugar 13 gr,calcium 2%, iron 6%, vitamin B6 4%, magnesium 4%,copper 2%, and manganese 4%, and
potassium 5%. Just some food for thought and your plants as well😏Molasses also feeds the microbes in your soil
which helps keep your soil alive, you just have to be carefull not to over do it.(still organic)
Hope this helps!
Happy holidays👊
@northernMike, thanks for the valuable info sounds like it's everything that this plant needs! Just hit them with EWC brewed with molasses so see how they respond 🙏🙏🙏
