Orange Crack & 3 Bears OG

Thought I would chuck up a journal of my 3rd grow...i like documenting the grows so i can see what i did right or wrong throughout each grow so having a journal forces me to do that! First grow I grew 4 red poisons...had some issues through the grow which I now know was a nute lockout due to a build up in te soil throwing the PH...got around 3 ounces of very fluffy but nice tasting bud... Second grow I did 4 dinafem blue kush's...which is how i discovered the same problem as the first grow...PH of this soil was around 3 after testing the run off....no wonder they were showing nutrient deficiencies...after slushing them they perked up and i finished up with some nice bud... the main issue I had with both grows was heat from the HID light...I could use a maximum of a 250W due to summer months and was still hitting temps of 31 on od days...also the 250w light just didnt seem like enough light for the tent.... Anyway my setup now is as follows... 0.8m x 0.8m x 2.0m Tent RVK Sileo 125 Extract & Rhino Pro Filter DIY 200W COB Light (4x 3070 4000K & 4x 3590 3500K COBS with a Meanwell HLG-185-C700B Driver) 16L Rhizopots 2 x 6" Clipon fans (Need to replace with an oscillating fan) Plant Magic Old Timer Nutrients, including Root stimulant ad Granules. Biobizz All Mix soil Also Mephisto dont have the freebie Orange Crack strain on their list but its a cross of their S.O.D.K and Sour Crack.

Plants have really progressed, 3 Bears OG showed some pistils around day 14 which i thought was really early. I had to raise my light to around 24" as the leaves were drooping due to intensity. 3 Bears OG is the plant in the middle and the other 4 are Mephisto Orange Cracks.

3 Weeks and they are really cracking on now. They are on day 16 in the photos and will update as the week goes along. Ive added a small dose of Plant Magic Magne/Cal today as the 3 Bears OG seemed to be showing signs of yellowing in the veins which I believe is a magnesium deficiency. I was hitting really high humidities to the end of this week but its my fault for running a completely enclosed tent/space....the humidity got so bad I was having water droplets form on the inside of the tent where it was so cold on the outside...temps were fine just the humidities...i bought a small compact refrigerant dehumidifier to stick in the tent...i think from now on I will only be able to have 4 plants comfortably in the tent which kinda sucks but to get the conditions perfect its required :( Dropped the Humidity to around 55%...i cant control too accurately so will just have to keep it to around that for the time being...

Plants have responded really well to the drier air...the dehumidifier has transformed them a lot...they were going a pale green as i assume they were intaking moisture through the air rather than the roots with nutrients...they have started to go a nicer green and really putting on some growth now... Some of the stems are going purple, not sure if this is genetics or due to slightly colder lights off temps...the tent drops to 19/20°C when the lights are off...not sure if this is too cold from the 29/30°C on lights on...

Accidentally was uploading into week 4 so had to reupload for week 5! im shocked its been 5 weeks already time really does fly by! Got myself a new tent as my 0.8 x 0.8 space was just to small with the dehumidifier in there now...i got myself a 1.2 x 0.8m tent and its absolutely spot on...much neater and the extra space has allowed me to use an oscillating fan for air circulation... The inbuilt controller on the dehumidifier wasnt very accurate so I invested in another controller which has 2 outputs so I can run my 80W heater and dehumidifier off of that and its working perfectly...ive got the humidity set to 50% with a +10% setting so it runs for a decent amount of time and isnt turning on/off constantly... Carbon filter is fitted...as i dont run an exhaust im hoping to just scrub the air within the tent...has anyone ever had any issues with this kinda setup rather than negatively pressurising the tent?

Times flying with these now...on my first 2 grows I experienced some really bad issues with PH fluctuations when switching to flowering nutes...i dont water to run off so I dont know if it was due to mineral and salts building up or the reaction between nutrients etc...either way I ran 45L through them to preempt this happening and gave them 2L of feed each which a fair majority ended up running off... The run off after this feed was measures at a PH of 6.4 which im happy with! They are finally starting to get some smell to them...smells quite citrusy!

Sorry this journal was a bit neglected as I was away on holiday and busy with other commitments...

Photos from this week are from my friend who was looking after them whilst I was away so apologies they arent the same quality :) As I was away I got my friend to just feed plain water to start the flush...

Returned back from my trip and they are still showing a lot of clear tricomes and no ambers so gonna let them go a day or two more...i might even part harvest the main colas tonight then let the bottom bud sites grow for a few days more...will see!
