Plants look strong and healthy and just had their first topping and low part defoliation with some cuttings taken for clones as I suspect this will be a special Barneys Farm strain and wanna keep it for a while...
New week for these little cuties just moved to a new pot and into a 70w led veg box for further growth.
Plants are small for their age but with a very very strong stem, I tried to supercrop them (pinch them) and was unable to do it, just way too strong...must be a good sign, new Barneys Farm release strain, already have 3 different phenos, one is already in flowering with a solo diary and these two show some slight differences in the colour of stem and leaf branches and also height...
All going good, sturdy plants with extra strong stems and apparently two phenos here, one indica looking with fat leaves, fat stem, shorter height, more compact and bushy, less pistils but more frosty and low feeder. The other one is more sativa looking, thinner leaves, thinner stem, taller, more pistils but not so frosty (or not yet) and seems more hungry as early Nitrogen deficiencies are spotted.
Clone from indica pheno has developed great and growing fast with indica traits.
Clone from sativa pheno is also doing good but not at the same speed as the indica one but slowly is getting faster every day and with sativa traits.
Will keep the best one or even both if they show traits that I like and take cuttings from it so hopefully there will be at least one special bud that's worth keeping the mother for..
All going well despite both girls had one of their main colas accidentally cut everything goes smoothly. Indica plant has a very similar Purple Punch bud structure with some dense packed frosty and beautifully smelling buds and white coated sugar leaves giving me hopes of getting a nice purple punch pheno. On the other hand Sativa looking girl has the opposite characteristics, taller, thinner, hungrier and buds are more of a hybrid style looking or more sativa with cone shape, still same smell like the sister maybe a bit more lime green and less dense. Frost is less too but still enough... xxx
This is the final week based on breeders informatiom and just waiting for the trichomes to turn half amber half milky and give it a good flush till we get there hopefully by end of next week.
Both plants finally done, chopped and dried and full of sticky resin. Even though the main branches of both plants were cut accidentally the plants delivered some 60+ grams dried bud, dense and beautiful.
Out of these two phenos I definitely prefer the Indica one overall. A lot more sturdy and a lot more frosty with less feeding needs and much stronger smell and taste.
@@pepitogrillo, thanks man all the best to you also. I have updated the diary with some more fotos and comments of the dried buds so check them out if you like....
@Shellshocked, indeed man, thanks....good that i kept a clone each of these two as they do seem kind of special. So far the indica pheno has a few buds that look like the parent purple punch strain, i hear only good words about that Punch strain, so looking forward to that...the other pheno still has 100% white pistils, still fattening up, further behind in frost and terp content compared to the indie one..time will tell man...thanks for passing by all the best man
@Wachsemilian, thanks man...not as nice as yours man but one day will get there hopefully :) gonna start using the hydroponics of holland, got the tester pack, gonna read some of your feeding schedule too and see also if they are any better than advance nutes...all the best man
