These seeds came as the freebie with an order from Jordan Of The Island, I wanted to try them out because they are supposed to be taller plants, as my previous ones were pretty short I wanted to try something that should get bigger with stretch.
I soaked the seeds in spring water for around 16 hours, a few of them had popped open in that time, I put them into the pots I had, and I am going to buy some more seedling pots within the next day.
Got them under the patented "Ghetto Dome"
These will be moved into a larger 3x3x6 tent when they get older.
after 2 days, 5 of 7 seeds have popped above soil. The next day 7/7 have popped up, which I am pretty happy about. Very viable seeds.
They have just reached 7 days old, as of December 21st. The seed that went missing when I tipped a pot over, has shown itself! But I don't know if it will make it, the seed hull is stuck on it really bad
The empty planter, I had accidentally dumped water out way too quickly, and it damaged the plant, actually yanked it right outta the soil, I should have been using the spray bottle still.
I decided I am going to turn these into a mini sea of green, which will be beside the hash plant, which can be seen in my other diary. Hopefully I get a high ratio of females! I will probably flip them in around 2 weeks.
I am going to have to finish these up by early march and take a small break. I will be flipping them to 12/12 within a week.
I gave them a really tiny dose of the microbes, and power bloom, because I am going to swap them to flower, and I am not going to transplant them into larger pots.
It will be interesting to see the yields from flipping so early, I hope I get a good ratio of females.
I kinda messed up the timing on these weeks of the diary. Nutrients were givin in the previous week.
These plants have a lot of vigor, and are growing really quick. I am going to have to flip them to flower in 3 days, as I am short on time this round. I wonder how much they will stretch in that time. I will not be transplanting them into larger pots.
I actually ended up flipping them one day after this post, which was on day 19.
On day 20 I defoliated the lowest set of leaves, on almost all of them except the smallest ones.
I am a little confused on how I am supposed to put the diary timing, I am gonna just keep it going by the age of the plant itself, because I switched to flower near the end of a week.
These plants are really vigorous, and have huge leaves, they are nearly as big as my hand.
On day 29, when it was a confirmed female I tried to gently massage and bend the plant over, but still managed to crack it slightly, I hope this will not be the death of it.
Gave a minor top dress of nutrients last week, so they should be good for a week at least.
So far 2 of them were males, which I have removed. One of them is a confirmed female, I am hoping for at least 1 more.
Been having pretty bad luck in this regard, so far 5/7 have been males, but it would h ave been pretty crowded if they were all female, that's for sure.
In the end, I got 2 females out of the 7, which is fine with me.
The timing seems off because I flipped the plant right before the end of week 3.
The plant survived the bending/minor crack in the stem, which had me worried for a moment.
They are both still growing really well, I hope they can make it all the way to the end in these small pots, without any major issues.
