This is my first grow so don't laugh at me, you've all been there. 🤪👽
I started with the paper towel method, but should have transferred the seedling on the second day to the pot because on the third day it was a little too long. Lesson learned. 🤯🙄
I couldn't just transfer it because I'm using the All-In-One Grow Caps by Royal Queen Seeds, before putting the seed or seedling you mix the Grow Caps with the soil then water it, wait for 12 hours, then water and wait 12 more hours and it's ready. The reason I'm using this is because it's much easier for a beginner like me. I have no idea which nutrients to add or how much but I'll learn for my next grow.🌱🤔
The other mistake I made was turn off the lights during the day and leave them on at night. This is a mistake because it's warm in my bedroom and I can't check on the temperature and humidity during the night because I'm sleeping obviously. 🌡️🌧️
Nonetheless I'm proud of myself for trying because any flower I ever bought died in the first week of it's life with me. If anyone has any advice please feel free to share because I really need it and I would appreciate it. See you next week. 🍀💚
P.S. I know my grow setup is basic but for a first time it's all I need. And I didn't want to spend lots of money right away.
@Smokwiri, thank you and I appreciate you for stopping by and showing me support 💚 just so you know this comment gave me a smile on my face so thank you again ❤️
HI! Nice setup.
Imo if its warm in your room at night, it's even warmer during the day. Heat could be a problem (not sure where you live or the season?). Run them at night when it's cooler if you can to reduce heat. Once you find the "base line" for your grow tent, it will stay constant. Barring outside humidity or temps rising or dropping. You can look back & check your meters highest/lowest temp & humidity while you were asleep with most cheap meters. Also electricity costs less at night in most countries 😉
What soil are you using? If it's organic, you must use organic nutrients. Also I cant see any perlite in your soil. You really really need plenty of perlite to help with drainage, to improve aeration & stop the soil sticking together & turning into a solid lump. I'd buy perlite ASAP & mix it with soil & transplant those into it before they get too big. If they die (which they wont) it's only a week or two lost.
Hope that helped. If I can answer anything just ask
Good luck
@Kilbarrack, I tried leaving my light on at night, but then in the morning I would notice on the hygrometer that the max temperature was too high and I was sleeping so I couldn't have checked on it often. It's much better now, at least I can check on it, open my balcony window for some cold breeze. I'll try perlite for my next grow, because with the whole setup and everything I spent a lot of money. For nutrients I'm using the All in One Grow Caps, they release nutrients when needed so I can at least focus on learning the basics of growing first. I'm using fabric pots so I think it has lots of air but definitely buying perlite for the next grow. Thank you for all the advice and I'll be sure to write to you if I have any questions or concerns. 💚🌱
Welcome to GD MoonWalker, I'm pretty new as well and I'm only on my second grow myself 😉. Your setup looks great 👍 and nice and clean. I'm gonna follow along with ya because even the way you write sounds a lot like myself 😜. Thnx for following me! I'll give back and follow you. Anything I can learn or help with is why I'm here! My next grow will be Blueberry Auto.
Happy Growing and
Happy Harvesting
@Puffdamagikchillum, I really feel welcomed and motivated here already, so thank you for that, just know I'm here to help or research for you whatever you need. 👽🌱💚
Happy growing and happy smoking 🌬️🔥
