This is a little side project I'm doing not putting too much stock into it but ultimately im looking for a specific pheno to flower and keep a mother and some strong males for pollen. Not looking to get much out of this other than some experience with regs and the breeding process which I have a tremendous respect for. Pheno #4 according to a guy on Instagram who is apparently to be the creator of this strain is pretty incredible looking. I asked him a bit about it, he said the thc content tests on avg. Around 25-26%. The pheno I hope to pull has beautiful pinkish purple to it. Check out #cookiefi on Instagram to see more if interested, not too many photos of this strain out there yet that I could find at least but looks interesting. The grow space I planned on putting these in is under construction so they are in with the autos right now under 22 hrs light and will see how they react until everything is straightened out.
The last few pictures in the sequence are of the first 2 I planted and are 2 weeks older than the rest. The big one turned out to be female and was topped. I started transplanting the ones in the little starter bags which work better than rooters but realized I dont have space to do the other 4. The last picture is the 2nd one i started so it's in the 1 week younger than the big one 1 week older than the small ones. Need to move to another tent
Sorry about the pic with the light on I have that tent on 18/6 and haven't gotten any good pics. There are also 2 bubba 76 in there along with the 5 younger cookiefi. That tent is in my basement with some veggie seedlings it is dry and cold down there so they have been growing very slowly and shittily. The big girl is the one I keep in the auto tent and have taken a few cuts. She was just transplanted from a 1 gal pot to a 3 2 days ago and kept goin without a hitch. Kinda crazy she just continued feeding like nothin happened and dried out the 3 gal to the bone less than 48 hours after transplant. Some 9 finger fan leaves that are the size of my head I think I'm gunna flower just her soon in a small tent. I did not get 1 fuckin male out of 10 regs... whole reason reason I got these
Lovin the photo crop. The main focus is obviously the big one which was started before the rest and I actually took decent care of it other than under watering which it didnt seem to mind. The last pics are bubba '76 in a 1 gal pot and has been neglected going bone dry for up to 5 days but still kickin. The rest are cookiefi in 2 gal pots but also underwatered and neglected. Just been feeding them the autopot rez leftovers from when the rez gets too low and cant make it out the tap. Back to the big one, originally topped it but it was so much taller than the other ones I supercropped the 2 main colas. I got impatient and flipped to 12/12 after only 3 days of recovery time for her so I hope she recovers ok. This tent is in my basement away from the autos now, all female and share the tent with some veggies in organic soil that are going outside soon. Temps are really low around 68°F during the day and only good knows how low at night. Just looking for the best ones to hold on to a mother plant and ordered some jellybreath bx1 from inhouse today to try to find a male stud. Took some cuttings of the big one that showed roots yesterday. Hoping for the pinkish pheno which I'll hold onto if I get it. Really enjoying the flexibility I have with the photos and realizing that from a cutting it wont take much longer than an auto life cycle to harvest so i might start transitioning into more photoperiod in one of the 4x8s while growing only a select few autos in the other 4x8. Sorry for the delay on the update I hate going to my basement its cold and scary
They are still stretching, the big one is over 5 feet off the ground and 3 inches from the light. I took a pic of a little one next to the big one for comparison. Cant wait for them to start stackin
I wish I remembered when I flipped these I wrote it down somewhere but forget. The big one got a late transplant into a 5 gal bag cuz it was too top heavy. The frost is startin to come and there are light purple outlines around some of the sugar leaves. The 5 smaller ones are taken longer but are healthy atleast. I took a cutting of the big one a few weeks ago to keep as a mum. I'd like to have a cutting of each but idk how to keep them all without having to take up too much space this is my first pheno hunt any advice would be great from some of you with more experience in that area especially since I have more strains that are still seedlings I'd like to hold on to as well
Got some pics of the other phenos as well as the big one this time. The smaller ones are much further behind even tho they were all flipped together idk why tho. The lights are way further away from the smaller ones cuz The big one is thru the roof but #5 is a lanky bastard. Big one stinks so strong of cookies
The big ones close to done just started dropping ppms. The smaller ones have a little longer and shouldn't yield much looks like they just gunna have tiny nugs cuz they in only about a gal and a half of coco on surprised they got as big as they are. The colors on the big one is insane tho.
Been flushing for a week so was hoping they would finish up sooner but they need a little longer and then I'll take some good pics before chop these were taken with my phone real quick.
These all got chopped within the past couple days except #5 that ones already dried and curing. I still have the bubba 76 from hso and #3 to chop, I think i forgot to take a picture of #2 before I chopped it but they all look pretty similar.
Updated #2,#3 and bubba, everything except #6 has tiny nugs cuz they wergrown in 2 gal pot with minimal lighting but I've sampled #5 and it was wellworth it
This was an interesting run. The big one is #6 which was the only one in really put effort into with training and consistent feeds. The others I begged only for a few weeks and did no training and left them in 2 gal grow bags start to finish. The lighting situation was awful as well as the environment in my basement was frigid being in the 60s for day time and 50s at night. Got some great buds from the big girl and some good nugs from the little ones just not as many. I didnt weigh them all since the all finished up at different times and the drying process for the second batch was extended due to high humidity. The first one harvested was 5 which was the tallest of the little ones but held the least weight. I did weigh that one and it only yielded 22g so I assume the rest yielded around an oz while the big one probly had 5 or 6 oz. I was just doing a scrappy pheno hunt looking for a keeper mother plant and ended up holding on to 6. The smell is much stronger than any autos I've ever grown and the buds just have a different feel to them they leave your fingers covered in thick glue. The smoke is a knockout one or 2 bong rips sets me straight for a few hours. They have so many strains you cant go wrong with any but obviously 8 reccomend this one gscxwifi . I enjoyed doing a photoperiod run and halfway thru my second photo crop i honestly have an easier time growing these than autos.
if u worried about space untill your final harvest (so u can decide keepers) you can take clones and keep them under 24hr light it slows them down from stretching because they don't get off time to stretch I do it and keep light a cfl not far away and just water after rooting to keep them small no nutes or root enhancers it normally keeps them small for long enough iv had to do it a few times and use a card board box and 2 cfl a 6500k and 2700k I had 20 at around 2 inch for around 6-8 week lol in solo cups untill i could decide hope it helps
@biggreens420, Haha thanks greens I'll give that a shot, I dont want to let any of them go until after I try them out what's the latest you can take a cutting in flower you think?
@Hawkbo,mines same with tg3 huge fan leaves it's a short and wide one and I feel for ya mad that no females out of 10 good if you're not wanting to breed though lol it's always the case u don't want em u get em u do want em and u don't get any lol
@biggreens420, they from Humboldt but not really documenting they were freebies and I only popped 2. The fan leaves are ridiculous but I dont even know if I'll flower them due to space I wanted a male but out of all these didnt get one my luck
@biggreens420, thanks bro yesh it's a little cold and damp but its starting to get warmer here. I just hope it doesnt stretch too much more cuz the other ones I kept small so the canopies uneven
Such an interesting contrast of colors on this strain. Almost violet leaves and mint-green bud...sweet!
You, sir, are single-handedly putting Mephisto genetics on the map here at GrowDiaries!
I know I got's ta git me sum a do's beans!😍
