Day 21: Week 3 is here! She's looking like a bad hair day but that's because she's growing so fast and I have her tied down. Trying to keep humidity levels between 50-60%. Yesterday I watered and top dressed with Down to Earth Rose and Flower Mix (4-8-4) using 1 tbsp per gallon. This top dress is going to be my test as to how hot I can push the nutes at this time seeing as Fox Farms Ocean Forest is already pretty hot. I usually don't start nutes till at least week 4 with FFOF but I figured since this is a top dress there would be more of a slow release effect. If she responds well and there are no other problems, I plan to top dress once more during this grow around week 7. I may push that top dress to 2 tbsp per gallon to finish out her flower stage but we will have to see how she responds with this first dose. Everything is going smoothly so far!
Day 23: All good in the tent! I've been diligently readjusting my LST ties everyday and I can see the tops forming already. I ended up taking off a fan leaf or two to allow for more even light coverage. She's starting to smell like dank just a little bit. It's the weird stage where it smells like basil or weed depending on who you talk to. Soil is still a bit damp/compacted from my last watering so I'm going to wait until I water again. I gave her a full 2 liter's of ph'd tap water when I top dressed so it's going to take a little bit to dry out. I will most likely continue to give her 2 liters at a time because from my experience these plants will be thirsty during their mid veg/early flower stage.
Day 25: All good, nothing to report on. I've added more LST ties as I saw fit.
Day 27: Just watered again (2L of tap water ph'd to 6.5) and did some more LST work. I also went ahead and gave her a pretty good haircut, removing most of the giant fan leaves that were blocking light coverage and just being nuisances in general. Tomorrow I hope to see her spring back upwards and reveal the canopy shape that I've been crafting.
Day 28: You can really see the bounce back from when I defoliated her yesterday. This girl is growing quick!
