All girls were 6-7 nodes high I clipped them at the nearest nodes that were close together and healthiest. I’ve heard it’s all ab the fee and I felt like that was the best choice! I’m super excited to be doing this and I’ll be doing them both differently strain specific. Glad to have the tent up and running again it was nice to take a week off during the holiday season. Can’t wait to get these girls off to a great start only thing I wasn’t excited ab was the fact I know they came from a tent that had a small infestation so I’ll be treating them as soon as they bounce back for preventative measures for a few weeks. Once again super excited and a good trial run before I get some seeds in the soil since these are clones once again. Happy growing y’all and I’ll take more pics here in the next few days to see how they react to the major haircut.
Update:
All reacting very well to topping! First time doing this so very exciting!!! The dosi I’d have to say is reacting better than the Maui which I thought was going to be the other way around since it’s sativa vs indica. I’ll be doing nebula and nugbucket mailing/manifold of each strain and recording everything pretty well. I’m more excited about getting this spider farm 2000 light instead of using the bestva 1000 either way it’s going to produce more and I like the white light instead of the blurple. Super excited ab this run!!!!
Slowly upped the nutrients and lowered Ph to 5.35...very vigorous and showing me they react well to topping (Atleast the dosi is) but I also just got the spider farm 2000 bord instead of the bestva 1000 so I’m really hopi g to see some amazing things happen this run. From the new light yesterday to today it has increased my tent temp by 2 degrees even w an extra fan and vent turned up. I will run a small hose from outside through a window to drop the temp a little and turn down the vents system so it’s not so loud. That will be the next upgrade is a quiet ventilation system...Ipower is great for the money but not for the noise. That being said another week and I’ll be full on lst these girls and hopefully and other week out I’ll be topping again w some slight super cropping to keep it all even. I only have 2 pics of each girl now I’ll update more when I take em later this week
Update
Not going to say much but I’ll post a few pics tomorrow. Gave them all haircuts 2 were Nugbucket and 2 were Nebula. Curious to see how long it takes the Nugbucket to bounce back. I’m excited as they seem vigorous to grow and shoot after topping. They were clipped yesterday so I’ll wait to post more pics til Monday to show some growth. Happy growin yall
I’ve been noticing that the leaves slightly looked burnt or just overall “weird” with the new light. I figured I had to dial it in and let them adjust to the spider farm 2000. At 22in it was around 700 at 70% power so turned it down and they seem to like that alot better. Ph the water to 5.5ish every time and the soil is still reading 7 in the meter wondering how I can get that down some. Otherwise everything is going awesome!! Not many pics but I’ll update more tom
So this last week was a little bit of a challenge. My dog got into my room and nibbled on a part of the one girls.
Update:
Got a new ventilation system and lemme tell you that this system is QUIET!! Probably 75% quieter than the ipower duct I had before. Idk why my whole post didn’t upload either so I’ll add it now. Yes my dog nibbled on the one plant but the others look absolutely amazing!! Super vigorous and bounce back from all stressed and training. The one girl(bottom left Maui) is pretty much exactly what I was going for as far as the Nugbucket technique. The new picture (I’ll tag it) dosi nebula technique is the rival and doing just as well and super sexy!!! I can’t wait to see how they all fill out as every run seems to be a new learning process. I’m always up for tips and new ways to enhance my growing skills so lmk if you got something that I could benefit from. Happy growin til next week
This was a solid week. Everything going as planned and growth is right on track. Gave them a little defoliation last night along with a little water off cycle. They’ve proven their thirsty esp with the coco mixture I’m using they like to be watered just ab every 60hrs. Had to do a little super cropping (I think that’s what it’s called when you squeeze the stalk a little to slow growth down some) so the other shoots could catch up but I like how even everything is looking. I’ll probably be switching in 2-3 weeks only bc I’m using 2 gal pots and I don’t want to worry about root blocking them. Since they’ll give a nice stretch when I flip I think a few more weeks to fill in should be sufficient. Hope y’all had as good of a week as I did...until next week happy farming
Yet another great week!! Kind of worried since they’re not shooting up as much as I would like them to (since they’re in 2 gal pots) that they might be hitting a root block or getting close to. So keeping that in mind I started declining light/dark an hr every day til I hit 12/12. I like how it gives the plants an opportunity to get that final stretch before hitting flowering full on. Once I hit 12/12 I’ll give them another light/medium defoliation. I did add 2 seedlings they are lemon skunk as practice. They’ve been around for a cpl weeks but really just practicing with them for the next run since I plan on running seedlings only. These girls seems to be super happy with everything going on though. I like doing 2 nutrient feedings then a full water flush. Maybe every other depending. Using the coco mixture really dried out the pots well so I’m literally watering every other day. I’m sure once they hit flowering it’ll be almost every day since they’ll be super thirsty. Well I’m off to watch the Super Bowl. Happy farming y’all til next week
Gave them a good loli-pop and defoiled some again. Ph the feeding and going to straight water every other from now on since the coco mixture dries the pots out ab every day and a half to two at most (to avoid nute blocking down the road) since I’ve been a little heavy on them. They look absolutely gorgeous and I can’t wait for the full trigger into flowering!! They are def stretching just a little...the dosi more than the Maui which surprises me some. The little lemon seedlings are looking quite good as well and I’m hoping they’re fems since they’re the wild card...so signs of triggering yet since I think they’ve got ab another week til they’re mature enough.
Also did a little bob ross painting today w my gf for Valentine’s Day and figured I’d throw that in there as well!! It’s my second painting ever so I thought it went well. As always happy farming and thanks for checking in 🤘🏽🤟🏽✌️🏽
Girls are really stretching now!! I’m surprised as to how much the Dosi is outgrowing the Maui!! The genetics and overall strength of the strains are really showing at this point I believe. Gave them all another good defoliation to enhance light to cola sites and adjusting neuts to the flowering schedule. Everything is looking super healthy even the little seedling that I think turned out to be both females. Although they are super small the little they produce will be banger since it’s a lemon skunk strain. Just having happy little experiment last going on over here all for science Until next week y’all and happy farming from OH-IO
Girls are really full on flowering!!! They all seem super happy! Been trying to get on a better flushing regiment as it seems to really help around harvest with salt build up using general hydroponics nutrients. I can already see some buildup around the fabric pots. Gonna do a basic pesticide foliar spray with azomax. I don’t see any pests but I’d like to keep it that way esp since I’m flowering now. But everything is going as planned and keeping a watchful eye on them. Oh and also did a little defoliation again...the Maui seems to just keep bushing out while the dosi just wants to stretch!! Super impressed with the genetics and resilience of these 2 strains
Everything was going well and smelling amazing in the third week of flowering....I was going to do a major defoil and upon doing so I noticed that both the dosi dos had hermed out and switched. I ended up chopping down about half the plant yesterday and after carful consideration...I’m going to pull the plug and start all over again. Just a disappointment that there were zero signs and literally within a few days my whole tent could be pollinated. What a learning experience this run has been!! Now I know to never assume and keep a watchful eye on the ladies!! Grr
Love the smell of this plant not worth keeping bc the dosi ruined the tent and possibly pollinated everything. Too many pods that had released pollen...sucks
Update: I kept the plants in a separate tent and finished them off!! Glad I did they have some awesome smells esp the dosido!! The Maui is giving true to its name as well both are quite pleasing!!! Made some fresh frozen live hash today going to make some rosin once it’s all dried up looking quite amazing so far though!!!!
@Ferenc,thanks fam!! As always if you see anything I can improve on dont hesitate to call me out on the setup or techniques. My first mainline so I’m super fresh on my skills and I wanna be on top of my game.
@Inganjawetrust, I got my ppl who gave me the clones asking what I’m doing bc theirs doesn’t even perk up like mine do. I’m actually experimenting with 13/11 flowering light cycle and slowly transitioning to a 10/14 near harvest.
@Nordynllc, this one was a super learning curve ab genetics and stressing the plants to the max. I hermed a few out bc of that and light leaks but they were amazing still!!
@@Charliepugdog, appreciate it bud first mainline attempts. I’ve got a few pictures I’m going to update tomorrow unfortunately my dog got into the tent and gave one of the ladies a haircut cut herself 😡 but she’s bouncing back! If you’ve got any pointers I’m all ears and looking to improve
