Directly into soil method of germination. First entry 27 December after seed placed in soil. No additional nutrients, just keeping soil moist.
Update for 30 December 2020:
Seedling starting to poke out the soil. Nice progress. Direct soil method worked 100%
No nutrients as yet. Will probably add later this week to officially start feeding. Will post update on when added. So far so good, growing nicely and healthy.
Started adding nutrients. Will track during course of week. Using Bio-Bloom and Nitrosol for nutrients. Good week so far, plants looking healthy, no issues.
Good growth so far. Very healthy looking plants. No issues as yet. Just monitoring while I use the nutrients on growth levels. But feeding every second day, so giving a day break between feeding.
Started low stress training this week. Still doing every 2nd day nutrient feeding. Good growth so far. Let’s see how LST goes, only issue with LST is that plant keeps obviously growing towards sun. But I am monitoring it to check the angles it’s growing at.
Flowering stage now. Will only use BioBizz. Still doing some LST. Will update by end of week on progress. No issues so far, good genetics indeed. Yesterday added some shock to the plants, added ice water. To simulate cold.
No nutrients for the next week.
Also had some learnings from this grow:
1stly - must adapt a routine feeding schedule/ plan. With a lot more Nitrogen added in veg phase
2ndly - for flowering phase, need to add more of phosphorus and potassium in the feeding plan
3rdly - need to make the bed of soil big so that plant has more space for roots
4thly, - light, light and more light.
5thly - need to research more training methods and improve on them
But overall I am happy and I keep learning about the growing process.
OG Kush from President Seeds has great genetics but it didn’t grow as big as I thought it would. But I would definitely be keen grow it again. Overall grow experience was good and easy, no hiccups besides the size of the plant.
Will challenge myself again to grow it. I am happy to have grown one of my fave strains of all time.
