I had tossed a FastBuds Amnesia Haze Auto seed in with my Demonic Genetics bean on 12/17 - but after a week, the FB seed never popped, so I started a second FB bean on 12/24 and she popped on Christmas day. I start them in wet paper towels in a ziplock bag, and after the root pops out, I move them into a Jiffy Pellet covered by a glass. Bean 2 only took a day in the paper towel, so I let bean 1 go another few days before throwing it away. It's been a couple days now, looks like she'll be getting her head out of the soil tomorrow most likely. Going to try NOT dropping the seedling during transplant this time 😐. Wish me luck!
Meant to start this grow at the same time as my Demonic Amensia for a side by side, but my FastBuds bean didn't pop as planned, so this gal is a week behind. She popped out kind of white from seed, and for some reason she stretched like crazy after I moved her from the Jiffy starter into her pot. Maybe I brought the light on too soon ? I must have put her under there on day 3 after transplanting. I figured the light would stop her from stretching, but maybe I've got that mixed up.
Clover is coming in nicely in the pot, had to add a few more seeds and have been trying to keep the top more moist so the fuckers can actually sprout. I think my last application of clover failed because my soil is (too?) well draining. Anyway, been watching the topsoil and adding a really light spray of water when I see it dry out - just until the clover gets started. Hoping once it's nice and mulched, I'll be able to water a little less frequently - I believe my dry ass closet is the reason for the rather dry topsoil.
Topped her on Day 17, pics are from Day 19. She was tall and lanky as a seedling, but seems a good height now. Her growth was not as vigorous as my Demonic Genetics Amnesia Haze from my other diary, and she's been generally a bit slower/less bushy looking. Unfortunately, this one also got infected with soil gnats, and again, switched to bottom feeding water to treat it.
Other than that, she seems healthy enough!
Messed up my calendar and posted this to the wrong week originally - oops!!!
I beat the soil gnats! There's a couple still flying around, but definitely under control now, after I started bottom-feed watering. I'm doing water-only with living soil, so haven't added any nutes or anything to the pots (I think I discussed the soil setup in my earlier weeks' posts).
Anyways, no deficiencies or signs of trouble so far. Trying the @Dreamatoes method of topping aggressively and training her down, but since she started to show sex so quickly, I've decided I won't top her any further. She does seem quite small compared to the Demonic Amnesia Haze that's one week ahead - could be due to genetics, but we'll see.
All in all, she's nice and symmetrical, and growing just fine so far!
I thought I had stunted her, or forced her into flower early by topping to early maybe? It seems like she's recovered (if she was stunted) and is doing just fine now. Pretty significant growth between day 33 and 35 when the photos were taken.
I'm still taking off a couple of leaves every other day or so, even though she started flowering, think this is okay? They're fan leaves that would otherwise be blocking lower bud sites. Will make a question for this too.
@@Mr_Cannab1sir,
Whoops I missed this, sorry! I'm trying to copy @dreamatoes LST/Semi-Mainline/Topping technique! His plants come out like beasts 😜
Not too clear on how to defoliate properly though, so just kinda winging it so far lol
Could the light be a bit too high (far away)? That can make em a bit "leggy". It's no real problem, just need a bit of support early on. I like ur support idea. Cheers CC
@Shooey, yeah I'm thinking that might be it? The sprout was already pretty long (like 3" maybe) before I got the pellet into the pot, and I cant remember if I kept her out of the light for another day before moving her under (I think I might have), and I imagine that would've caused the stretch. Seems like she's doing okay now though, her stem is thickening up a little and getting more straight. Thank for the well wishes! 😊
Nice technique bro, they look great.
About the leaves, I would call myself big on defol,,
If it’s in the way, and I can’t tuck it, it gets cut.
But it seems to be a matter of opinion. I reckon you go by “feel”.
Whatever you’re doing so far, it’s working out great mate👍
