Week 0 of the Strawberry Pie Auto Grow!
I flushed the soil two days before placing the seed into the soil. This plant will be a Strawberry grow through and through because I am using Strawberry Fields soil as well. I also played Strawberry Fields Forever by The Beatles during its planting process in hopes that it will give it an extra kick start lol
Day 1 is 12/2/2020 meaning estimated harvest date is 2/3/2021 :)
12/9/2020 Day 7:
The Strawberry Pie seedling is looking great. I have always been pleased with 2Fast4Budz seeds and their sprouting process. All of their seedlings start off strong and are durable.
(12/2020) Day 18
Strawberry Pie has been doing great. I began LST training her three days ago. It was amazing to see the fast growth within the three days. The plant is looking very promising with many cola areas beginning to grow. I watered her yesterday with a half tablespoon of honey mixed within the 6.2 PH water. She seemed to like the watering and honey as she perked up afterwards. I will continue to LST the plant in a counter clockwise direction so that an even canopy creates.
(12/23/2020) Week 3!
I watered the Strawberry Pie also with 6.0 Phd water and a half tablespoon of honey melted in. I got the vibe she was thirsty. It is crazy to see the difference between three days of LST does.
Week 4! (Day 28) 12/30/2020
There has been so much growth within this week as you can see. She received a watering on 12/27/2020. I LST'd her today and has bounced back quick. There is a nice canopy forming and I can see many sites in which hopefully colas will develop :) She is a beauty haha
Lmk if you have any tips, questions, etc, thanks ha
Week 5 , First Week of Flower! Woohoo
Week 5 began the first week of flower. Since the plant began flowering I decided it was time to do some defoliation. At this point I can see the sites where flowers will begin to bloom so I got rid of any of the areas where buds won't produce. I made sure to be careful with this process in order not to take away too many leaves and branches. She responded well and doing this hopefully will allow the plant to use its energy efficiently and produce large dense buds :)
I am also watering the plant about every 3-4 days with 6.0phd water. I am mixing in a tablespoon of molasses every other watering with hopes that it will produce larger denser buds.
Lmk if you have any suggestions/ questions :)
Week 6 was an interesting one. I learned a lot this week. My plant was doing fine, but one day I woke up and I noticed the plant was mad droopy. I didn't think I had overwatered the plant because I feed her one gallon of water every three days which I think is really on the safe side of overwatering. (if not under watering) I did notice that the weather outside had become colder at night and perhaps my heater wasn't set at a high enough temp. I checked the temp inside of the tent and it said 60 F. Since this is my first time growing in winter I had to do some research and it turns out the ideal temp of the tent is much higher than 60. 72-77F is ideal from what I have read. I changed the temp setting for the heater in the tent and sure enough the plant is bouncing back. I have to now be much more mindful of the temp of the tent. Overall in three days with better heat settings the plant is starting to spring upwards at the flower areas which I'm super stoked about. I do think I have slowed the growth of the buds by half a week or so. It'll prob set the harvest day back a few days.
* Lesson learned= plants like a warmer climate ha
I also started feeding her small amounts of FloraBloom today 1/13. According to 2Fast4Buds this breed is sensitive to nutrients. Since I am using Strawberry Fields soil already, I decided to add a half teaspoon in her watering today. If she responds well I will continue to give small amounts of nutrients every watering. (I have see other grow diaries which have used nutrients and their buds look dannnkkk) lol so I'm gonna do the same. Hopefully these nutrients will help the plant with any deficiencies it may have.
Week 7 should be fun. I'll probably do another defoliation to the plant once she bounces back and rest for a day or two.
Week 7,
Week 7 was a nice one :) This was the first week in where I fixed the temperature inside the tent. The plant seemed to do much better in the warmer conditions and flowering began to take off. I water every 2-3 days with one tablespoon of molasses every other watering and I slowly starting introducing nutrients into the water. She has responded well to the nutrients and I am now giving her a teaspoon of FloraNova Bloom every watering. (6.0phd water) I am noticing the flowering spots on the branches are now taking off as well.
I was able to take a bit better pics this week, we gettin fancy yo! haha jk
Please let me know if you have any suggestions or questions. Happy growing everyone! ha
Week 8,
Week 8 was a fairly easy one. The flowering spots are starting to fill in, and the leaves are starting to become frosty. I am watering her every three days with a teaspoon of nutrients and a tablespoon molasses. I think I have dialed in the grow tent and have a routine down.
Please let me know if you have any suggestions/ questions. Happy growing everyone
Week 9 (aka day 63)
According to the strain report, today would of been the day of harvest (if perfectly grown) Since I am not a master grower, it appears she needs more time. ha She is coming along great though! Super frosty and the flowers along the stems are starting to pack on weight. According to other grow diaries I've read, the harvest day will probably be in one month 3/3/21 (12 weeks total) If you notice my tent is a bit crammed, that's the only thing that's not ideal lol
I am watering every three days with 6.0 phd water with 1 tablespoon of molasses and 1 teaspoon of SuperNova mixed into a gallon or more of water.
Please let me know if you have any suggestions/ questions/ concerns. I am getting excited about harvest day! It's not to far away :) Wish me luck in the end stretch! lol Happy Growing everyone
Week 10,
Week 10 has been fun. The buds are becoming denser and starting to almost look like a finished product. I am planning on harvesting the plant the first week of next month, so three weeks or so and counting!
I am adjusting the tie downs twice a week trying to get the buds as much sunlight as possible.
I am watering every 3 days with 6.0 ph water. I have been putting a teaspoon of FloraNova in the water with a tablespoon of molasses mixed in but it appears she received a little nutrient burn. I'm not to worried about it because I wanted to make sure the flower sites received enough nutrients to make some dense dank buds. It isn't a huge burn but a little. As a result I started mixing only half a teaspoon of FloraNova in the water to make sure any future burn doesn't happen.
I am excited about the plant, she is starting to look like a thiccy ha I am probably going to starting flushing in three weeks.
Let me know if you have any questions/concerns/comments. Happy growing Growmies 🙌
Week 11,
As you can see with the pictures, she has some nutrient burn :( I unfortunately gave her too much nutrients. I knew this strain was sensitive to nutrients because of the 2Fast4buds strain video but I did not know what was too much or not. If I was to grow this strain again ,I would probably switch up nutrients every other watering and not every watering as I did. As a result of the burn, I used some ClearEx in hopes that the leaves will turn back to green. The plant seems to be responding well to the treatment being on 2/17 and all. My plan is to water the plant on 2/19 with only water to flush the plant some more. Hopefully by 2/22 I can give the plant some finishing bud density nutrients for a week or two and then flush time.
I am nowhere near a master grower and every mistake is a learning experience :)
Let me know if you have any questions/ comments/ concerns. Good luck with everybody grow! (hopefully they don't get burned like mine did this week) lol
Week 12,
Week 12 was an interesting one. This is my first time having a successful plant so I began to become worried once I noticed the leaves turned yellow. I did a flush last week in hopes that I could squeeze two weeks of Kool Bloom nutrient feeding before I flush for the last time. I am nowhere near a master grower so I am kinda experimenting with the harvest time with this plant. I don't want airy popcorn buds so I thought it would be best to have the plants flowers develop as much as possible. As a result, I am going to harvest around 3/10 making it 13 weeks. I am hoping that adding the finishing nutrients will allow for the buds along the stem to become as dense as the buds at the top. Harvest time is almost coming! :)
I know what some may be thinking, those flowers look done, and they do haha but I am experimenting to see if a longer harvest time means denser buds (which is what I'm hoping for) lol
Let me know if you have any comments, questions, concerns. Happy growing Growmies!
Week 13,
Harvest time is soon! I was able to give the plant some waterings of KoolBloom and the flushing process has began! I ran some ClearEx in the flushing process with 6.0ph water. This grow has been a great experience and I am excited to see what she looks like once I wet trim her :) I am going to cut down soon and have an update with pics and etc.
It appears the buds did grower denser from the last past week or so. I am glad I pushed the harvest time back, it allowed the buds to pack on a bit more weight it appears.
Let me know if you have any questions/ concerns/ comments. Happy growing Growmies!
Week 14,
Week 14 was the last week before Harvest/Havrest! I flushed the plant and trimmed her a bit before harvest. I hope you all enjoy the videos and the pics!
I had a fun experience growing this strain. She started out strong and finished pretty strong! The buds are covered in THC and smells sweet. The only thing I would really do better next time is trying not to nutrient burn her as much as I did towards the end. I also experimented with harvest time and came to the conclusion that the it's best to harvest a few weeks after their recommended time if you want denser buds (in my opinion). I do wish the buds were a bit more dense but I'm not a pro grower and that could be the reason for that. It's all a learning experience. It could be the strain because I'm going a Gorilla Cookies (FastBuds) and those buds are huge and don't have as many leaves. Overall I'm blessed with the outcome and I'm going to enjoy the perfectly dried buds soon :D
I hope you all enjoy the little videos and music! haha I've only grown one plant before this which resulted in less than an eighth of bud so I'm beyond happy to say the least lol
Let me know if you have any questions regarding growing and for some possible tips! Happy growing Growmies!
