3 Space Candy Plants beginning life in the pots.
I added a Green Crack seedling because the Jack Skellington's seeds were a no go.
I got a new phone so I was messing around with the new LiDAR scanner -- kind of cool - be awesome if it had FLIR !
So no real plans for this run -- just top and grow as usual -- again -- using only water, so minimal effort once again --
Everything is looking good - minimal effort and just trying to leave them alone. Auto water - lights & external heater are sync'd. The temperature is very stable and the plants are responding to the watering cycle. Every 24 hrs 1 hour after lights on -- water for 2 minutes -- I top them off by hitting the top soil with the hand sprayer ---
Space Candy: some light defoliation - mainly just low stress stalk stressing to bend out of the way of developing sites -
I topped 2 of the larger Space Candy plants, the other I will grow out normal as it was lagging behind in development, but after a good watering, it is catching up quickly.
I will be adding some soil amendment soon -- Garden of the Gods - One Shot -- never used it before so learning how to use it -- seems easy enough and learning more about treating the tap water.
Water is now treated for Chlorine and Chloramines and all the other shit that isn't supposed to have in this case -- water is good
The Space Candy plants are growing is all directions. I had a tough time trying to trim it the way I really wanted it. Meh, still learning.
Overall the stalks look strong & they are poised for next weeks light switch.
The Green Crack plant is holding strong no matter what I put it through. Good genetics from ILGM -- really looking forward to the nice dense buds.
I added some One Shot from Garden of the Gods. 1st time using it but I am sure it will really help as the last run I think I pushed it a bit to far using 5 gals.
They are looking a bit thin. The Green Crack is doing well. Shows you what good genetics can do. The Space Candy I do hope perk up now that I am done messing with them
I will flip the switch this Wednesday. Looking forward to seeing what develops.
I did a bit of defoliation before flipping over to the flower 2 light schedule. Shit, just remembered, I forgot to change to full spectrum , so I just turned that on.. oh well -- this grow I have not put a lot of effort into. I did order some new seeds that I am very excited about. 6 Strains on the way,
I was gone most of the week so things went a bit wacky -- they did get water and the Green Crack went bonkers -- I cleaned them up a bit and did some re positioning in the tent - going to let them run
They are looking a little better - It won't be a big yield by any means, but I do hope to get some quality our of the SPace Candy - Happy that they all turned out female, so I got that going for me --
the Green Crack is hearty so it is forging on -- I added a scrog net as I needed to get things under control as best I can -- I was going to use some plant stakes - but by mistake, I bought the dye green ones and had that shit all over me before I realized my FU.
3 Weeks more perhaps -- still on water only but I have added boosted the top soil --
I have been conditioning and PH correcting the water & they all have responded really well. I have not put a lot of effort into the training on this run I just topped and let them go with some defoliation here and there. Next run I will be more diligent as it will be with some new strains for me.
The Space Candy plants have picked up a bit and are starting pistil color change. It will be interesting to see them develop. I love this part of the grow where you get to study them and watch them develop. Next week I will drop the temp in the tent and see the colors develop, or I might wait a week and then drop the temp .. meh
The Green Crack plant is hearty - just plain and simple - good genetics -- love growing the crack for sure but it does take over the tent with the aroma -- I need to smell the Candy as well...
This will be a good run & certainly love this phase of the growth. Stay tuned & I don't have a pug named Funions.
Moving right along - I f'd up and snapped a top off one of the tops on one of the Space Candy plants - I felt so useless. Luckily it was the one that is not developing so well. Bums me out for sure ..
They still have 3 weeks (IMO) so they are coming along fine -- I did some re-arranging and light defoliation so it will improve exposure and hopefully see some burst in development of the buds -- I hope these surprise me and I get to see the colors fill in.
The Green Crack plant is filling in nicely and as always, a pleasure to grow.
I got a new VaporEsso PX80 and I'm bouncing.
Plants are starting to frost up nicely! - I did add a bit of FloraBloom to the water conditioning process. More curious as to see if they would respond and it did show results, so happy with that.
SC buds are developing nicely. One plant, has small buds that are just frosty as any grow I have had yet. The buds are interesting as the look more triangle in shape. The colors are getting interesting- I dropped the temp in the temp for the last 2 weeks -- lets see what happens --- I hope to see a good spectrum of color and a bit darker
The GC is just amazing -- very thick, sticky hearty buds. I am getting some good sizes and everything will be top self. Such a strong strain!
The environment has been pretty static so not much interaction with the plants this week. I peek at them in the morning & do the water routine.
Possible last 2 weeks --- I look forward to seeing these plants in the final stages.
All plants are in their final days. I did some scopes and it is looking like Wednesday night I will take them down.
The Space Candy plants developed well in the final 2 weeks.
1st one looks very healthy. The buds developed evenly throughout and will be of good size. Buds are triangular in shape with some darker colors inside and crazy red hairs. Good amount of frost. Best of the 3.
The 2nd is fine, but the buds are not as big. It is healthy & will produce some nice buds. A few did not reach the canopy but still filled in.
The 3rd is interesting. Looks like a phenotype. Super frosty buds but small. I did not remove the plant from the tent to inspect, perhaps it got stressed & hermed out? I love the insane frosting though. It smells like candy too!
They all filled in nicely over the past 2 weeks. I am happy with the way they developed and the buds architecture is cool. They have a candy smell to them and are bigtime sticky. The cure will produce some great smoke & it looks like I will get a good amount of kief.
I had fun & no disasters. Pretty low cost grow and maintenance. Just a lot of water. I am moving to soil for my next run ... I think.
Harvest this week.
These seeds came from purchased dispensary flower, so obviously not the best genetics. I knew that going in as they turned out a bit underwhelming. Had I grown them in soil with nutrients, I think they would have faired better. As it stands, a couple of ounces of decent flower along with some a decent hash bar, I am down with it.
I had no other seeds to run at the time so, definitely adds to the learning process.
