This is my third grow, and my first single strain grow. I have tried a few germination methods, but I really prefer straight in the substrate for (from my experience) efficacy, speed and ease. Got the tent changed and set up, got the environment ready - closed the vents for humidity, turned on the clip fan to circle air inside the tent, using a stay bottle and the heat from the radiator I got humidity up 70-80% and temp 20-25°C.
I sprayed the substrate with just water and made a small well about a half inch down placed the seed in directly from the packet and lucky they all fell in the right direction up. I covered them up and stayed the soil again I make sure it was damp. I sprayed the area everyday until they popped up (4 days for all 3)
Used water daily all the first week until the last two waterings where is used some nutes as they seemed to be clearly entering the veg phase. I kept humidity high as last week. They are moving very fast everyday there's big differences.
The climate is quite frosty outside and there is not much insulation in the roof so temps have been a little lower than I liked but other than that everything is going well so far. All 3 plants have been receptive to the nutrients. They are growing at slightly different rates. I move there position anti clockwise every few days to assure equal light distribution. As this has been my first single strain grow, and my third ever grow, I am very happy so far! Any tips or pointers please let me know! Also I am counting the weeks time frame from Sunday 20/12/20 wen the seeds first were planted directly into the soil.
This week was good, watering was fine every second day so I don't like to over water at this stage to encourage root development. Plants seem to be taking to the nutrients well and the focus was to get the RH down closer to 55%, soni opened some vents on the tent. I have yet to put on the carbon filter as there is no smell and I don't see a need right now if there is good RH and Temp has been lower even though the radiator is full blast so it's keeping it around 20-22°C most days as the outside temps are pretty low. Going to start LST tomorrow as the plants are definitely big enough and are ready!
Good week the girls are looking good. Kept a decent water schedule and everything was good with temp and humidity was a little low but nothing to worry about.
Instated LST just after week 3. Tied main stem down at the base with green gadening wire and bent over the plant and tied it at the head node. I'm expecting big growth this week!
