Nutrients will be increased this week. By the end of the week, I am going to start easing in some bloom nutrients and start reducing veg. nutes. I estimate they will transition to flower soon. As soon as I notice flowers starting, I am switching to my 600w HPS bulb. I think they look healthy and are doing well.
1/16.... They are flowering!!! 5 weeks from soaking seeds and 4 weeks from new seedling. I thought they were auto-switching on 1/16 and by 1/19, I was sure of it. Switched bulbs on 1/19 and now have the 600 HPS in. They seem to be thirsty and drink more now. I was watering a quart each, every other day. Now, they each want about a quart, each day.
1/20.... My HPS bulb burned out within the first 7 hours of use. It was brand new and the MFG has agreed to warranty it. While waiting for the new one to ship, I am going to grab one at my local store in the next couple days. Can't hurt to have a spare around. I put the MH bulb back in and we carry on.
1/21... Went and got a new bulb from local store. The store was great and the HPS bulb is replaced with a new Ultra Sun 600 HPS. Other news, I found that I broke a branch messing around with the bulb problem or while I was feeding. Life goes on. They are still rocking!!!!
@KentuckyOG60, I traded for the 5 TD beans. Well, I will trade, as soon as I cross paths with them again. I now have some Zkittles that I am paying back with. Grabbed 20 photo during a recent ILGM sale. I am eager to see the end results of the TD, as I have never run autos. 😎
@HAPPY91, I would have liked for 100% success, but still pleased with the 4 out of 5. The 5th one tried to start and just didn't make it. At least it tried.
@KentuckyOG60, Your's look great, too! I have been watching your diary and figured I would start one, too. You have about 3 weeks of a head start on me.
question...did you run into much problems with the general health of these plants? I ask because I'm having real difficulty with the plants appearing very droopy in between water or feeding. I'm leaning towards it being caused by the actual size of the plant being too big for the 3 gal pots. It's not strain specific because the N lights in the same tent on the exact same schedule is also affected. Both are roughly the same size at well over 30 inches tall. The skunk auto in same tent, 6 weeks or so behind so obviously much smaller doesn't seem to be suffering.
@@@pizzaman841, Overall they were healthy and pretty easy. I over-watered one time. I tried to water until run off. They didn't like that. After that, I watered them more carefully. They were fed daily. I reduced my amount of water, so that the next day.... they were just needing watering. Tried to keep a nice balance of moist to dry enough to allow roots to breathe. Never dry enough where they drooped. I am sure I could have watered less often, if I had 5 gallon pots. I didn't mind the 3 gallon. I sorta think of treating Pro-Mix like when I used to grow with rockwool. Back then, I used a res, dripper, and pump system. I hand water these days, but I still think of it that way.
