5 Tangerine Dream Auto were placed in room temp water at 5pm on 12/12. They all 5 split and started tap roots by 12/14. Planted all 5 in 3 gallon pots on 12/15. On 12/16, 4 of the 5 were peeking out of the soil. On 12/18, 3 of the 4 had Cotyledons. On 12/19, the 4th had Cotyledons. Gave up on the 5th. After digging the 5th seed up, it had not changed since water soak.

I decided it was time for their first light feeding on 12/20. Gave them a super light mixture of nutrients. 1/16 tsp Grow, 1/16 tsp Base, and .25 tsp Calimagic per gallon. They seemed to appreciate the feeding and started to progress.

I have a dimmable ballast and had been running at 50% or 300w. Upped it to 75% this week. Now running 450w. Adjusted fan to maintain temp in tent. They have transitioned from seedling into veg this week. Nutrients were increased, but still light. Many suggest that autoflowers need less nutrients and I am allowing the little ladies a chance to tell me what they need. If they need more, I can up nutrients, but I definitely don't want to burn them. Gave the girls a New Years Day feeding. Each pot was given a quart of nutrigation. It seems like they need about 1 quart each, every couple of days. As soon as there is a little more growth, I plan on starting LST.

Things seem to be going well. They were fed on 1/1 and should be good until 1/3 or 1/4. Jan. 3, Started LST on 3 out of 4. 4th needs another day or 2, in my opinion. Fed them again on 1/3. Figured they would need it for sure tomorrow and since I did some bending, I gave them a drink. Upped nutrients to .25 tsp/gal on 1/6

1/9/21... 4 weeks to the day from soaking the seeds. I think I may leave the 4th one alone and do no LST. I guess, she will be my control group. I have been bending and shaping the other three. I also decided to bump the MH up to the full 600w on 1/9. Started at 300w and then transitioned to 450w. I think it is now time for 600w! Have pruned a very small number of fan leaves. Trying to avoid defoliating, as I would prefer to tuck. 1/14... Still bending and pulling, so the canopy is spread on each of the 3. The 4th is getting some strategic defoliation and tucking. 1/15.... I think they are really starting to develop nicely. New pics on 1/16, it's the start of a new week. I will be increasing nutrients next week and training/tucking/defoliation will continue.

Nutrients will be increased this week. By the end of the week, I am going to start easing in some bloom nutrients and start reducing veg. nutes. I estimate they will transition to flower soon. As soon as I notice flowers starting, I am switching to my 600w HPS bulb. I think they look healthy and are doing well. 1/16.... They are flowering!!! 5 weeks from soaking seeds and 4 weeks from new seedling. I thought they were auto-switching on 1/16 and by 1/19, I was sure of it. Switched bulbs on 1/19 and now have the 600 HPS in. They seem to be thirsty and drink more now. I was watering a quart each, every other day. Now, they each want about a quart, each day. 1/20.... My HPS bulb burned out within the first 7 hours of use. It was brand new and the MFG has agreed to warranty it. While waiting for the new one to ship, I am going to grab one at my local store in the next couple days. Can't hurt to have a spare around. I put the MH bulb back in and we carry on. 1/21... Went and got a new bulb from local store. The store was great and the HPS bulb is replaced with a new Ultra Sun 600 HPS. Other news, I found that I broke a branch messing around with the bulb problem or while I was feeding. Life goes on. They are still rocking!!!!

1/23... 42 days from soaking seeds, 35 days from new seedling, and today is the start of week 2 of flowering. 1/26... I have continued with some LST. Trying to keep a uniform height for all. I have also over-watered 1 for sure. I increased the amount of water and 1 didn't like it. I didn't increase nutrients, I just watered too much at one time. I think I would rather water more often, than over-water. I think 3 will still need a drink at some point today. The 4th is still too moist for a drink until maybe 1/27. 1/27 pics show the result of too much love. Too much water(nutrigation). While the pots are drying, I tried some foliar feeding using straight water and a mist sprayer. Once the pots have dried out, I will regroup, adjust, and carry on. Just went to store and bought a cheap Soil Hygrometer. I thought they were ready for water with the finger/knuckle test. The hygrometer said no! I realize that I had def over did it watering. 1/29 Update... I let them really dry out and have also foliar fed with very light nutrient mix. Since, now dried out... I also gave them a tiny amount of water/nute mix. They seem to be bouncing back from overwatering them. I usually lift the pots, so it wasn't really from not taking time to check the weight. I felt like I was not watering enough. I have never had runoff when watering, so I thought I should add to my watering amount. Mistake! I am not a rookie at this. It has been a while since I did a run, but I def made a rookie mistake. I am easing back into watering. I also don't want to foliar feed much more, as getting too far into flower. They seemed to show results from it, while trying to dry pots out.

1/30-2/1... I have been trying to nurse back at least 2 of 4 that were over watered. Over the last several days, I have foliar fed with a light nute mix or plain water, while waiting on the pots to dry out. Once they were dry, I reduced the volume of water and tried a peroxide treatment. Mixed 1 cup of 3% Hydrogen Peroxide with my nutrient mix. The peroxide is supposed to help kill bacteria (good or bad) and add extra oxygen to roots. 2/2... I am now back to my regular nutrient mix and only reducing the amount of water volume given at each feeding. I have noticed their health improving and have updated photos to share.

2/6... Increased nutes a little more and I am starting to favor bloom nutes. Minor LST, bending, and leaf tucking. 2/10... Only changes were to nutrients. Increased bloom, increased base, and eliminated grow. My ratios are now basically per the DaKine420 schedule. 2/11... Seems like three or four different phenotypes are evident, as their structure is very different. Might be related to some over watering stress. Might be genetics. Might be both. We just keep moving along. Anxious to start the next batch. Photoperiod ILGM Zkittles and Banana Kush beans are soon to be soaked. Targeting 2/20 for the soak date.

2/13... 9 weeks from seed soak and 2/13 is what I believe to be the start of day 29 of flower. 2/15.... Only been doing some very selective leaf defoliation. Seems like three show Sativa dominance and the other one is definitely more Indica dominant. Their structure is very different. Tangerine Dream: G13 x Afghani x Neville’s Haze x Ruderalis Genetic Blend: 10% Ruderalis, 30% Indica, 60% Sativa

Just waiting on a little more development and then I will start to flush them. I have them spread out a little, so I have room to start my ILGM photo period grow. I have 5 sprouts in red cups located in the middle of the tent. They should pop soon. They have popped.

3/6.... This is the start of week 8 of flower. 84 days from soaking seeds and day 49 of flower. They are getting cloudy. When I start to see some amber, I will flush for a day or two. After the quick flush, it is harvest time!!!! 3/9.... Still waiting for them to wrap up. Days away, now. 3/12... Flushing with ph balanced water only. I am thinking that 3/14 may be harvest day. 3/14 I chopped 3 of them and got through trimming 2 of them. The 3rd is hanging untrimmed. The 4th has not been touched. Sitting in the dark until I can get to it. Hopefully tomorrow, I will wrap all of the trimming up. Updated harvest diary to come.

3/14 Overall, the TD auto was easy to grow. They responded well to LST. They could handle nutrients at a photo period equivalence and I followed the Dakine420 chart for the majority of flower. Only difficult time, was due to my overwatering. They bounced back from the overwatering and produced a lot of gorgeous flowers. Anxious to get trimming done, drying, curing, weighing, and enjoying. 3/18... Some are still hanging. Some were ready for jar curing and some need some time to dry in the large bowl, before jar curing. 3/20... final weight 471 grams. I am impressed with those TD auto plants. They exceeded my expectations.
