Seed is placed in the water and stays there for approx 18 hours.
17/9/2021:
She had been in the water for almost 18 hours. Tested her after several hours just a little push if she sinks. She did so she supposed to be viable.
After all, I placed her between damp paper towel and we just waitin'
I am excited ;)
19/9/21: Ready to be planted. Tap root is nicely out :)
Day 4 - 23.09.2021:
Day 4! Gelato on haha! Nicely out. Planted to the final 3.8L pot.
High humidity over 90% so I hardly water her more spraying...
The soil is still wet.
No ventilation, lamp is on 18/6.
Love this lamp! Quiet, no noise at all and does the job. Currently set to be on 80W out of 240W max power I keep measuring by power meter.
Distance is approx 60 cm from the babie.
Day 10 - 29/9/2021:
Hi! Not much to say apart from the fact that she grew a lot since last week. I know RQS genetics so nothing to worry about.
As not much to mention there are still some facts that need to be stated:
Ventilation is on every 2 hours for 5 min and the ViparSpectra XS2000 is set to be on 50% of the full capacity so 120 W.
Watering is approx 0.04 dl per day and no any fertilization...
Lamp 18/6... temperature is around 26-29 Celsius.... humidity is approx 60%.
This is how it is now and let's see the next week soon... actually after a week lol
Day 15 - 4/10/21:
Welcome to the first day of the 3rd week....

Amazing RQS genetics... I am more than happy to be able to work with her.
Some changes since last week not only size wise...:
Lamp is set to be on 150W approx 60% of the full power..... enough..... She loves this ViparSpectra XS2000....
So Do I.....
Himidity stays on approx 60%
Ventilation is fine every 2 hours switched on for 5 min....
Watering like 0.06 l per day....
Started some fertilization also with Bat Guano, Biobizz family /before someone ask why I use BioBloom and Top Max in veg just beacuse lol/
And... Epsom salt....

And yes, I do it on Tuesday and Saturday except the Epsom just 1x a week the rest then 2x for now.
The first LST has been done basically just bent her.....
I am excited haha
I can't really mention more things as all good I beleive.....
Day 22, 11th of October 2021:
Here we goooo. Welcome to the 1st day of the magic 4th week.
She is a beast I absolutely love her of course. Nothing bad to say and not much to mention well, she got an other LST now 😉
She looks great and happy.
Not much changed apart from.the size I say again.
There are some or few changes compare to the last week let's see:
Lamp back to 125W so approx 40% of the max and the water intake is more a bit so:
Lamp is set to be on 125W approx 40% of the full power.....
Humidity stays on approx 60%
Ventilation switches on in every 2 hours for 5 min....
Watering like 0.08l per day....
Fertilization also with Bat Guano, Biobizz family - BioGrow, BioBloom, TopMax... so these ones 2x a week....
Epsom salt.... 1x a week....
Ratio can be found above.
That's all not really more for now.

Day 37, 20th of October 2021:
Week 5 here we go.
Gelato Cookies is beautiful growing nicely very calm normal....
Smell is getting stronger ...
She is happy 😊 doing great!!!! I love 💘
Another week another LST just "tied" the brunches a bit just spread them.
I also.removed fan leaves from the bottom thr yellowing ones a little clean up.
Fertilization remains the same with the same bat guano, epsom salt and Biobizz family - BioGrow, BioBloom, TopMax... 2x a week epsom just once.
Ratio is above... ;)
Lamp is on 150W so approx 60% of the max and it is fine just placed the fan kit in so the temp is lower approx 25 degrees and constantly fresh air goes in and the humidity is lower as well around 50%...
Every 2 hours ventilation is on as well for 2 minutes just to make a better air circulation.
She receives approx 100 ml water a day...
I am happy with her nothing bad to say growing properly no sings of any problem so far. Happy Growing ;)
Day 36, 25th of October 2021:
Welcome to the first if the the week 6... ;)
This week is not about LST anymore it is FIMing week that means she has FIMmed on all of her "heads" so like approx 6-8 times....
Gelato Cookies 🍪 is amazing nothing really changed she will be I think a larger lady when starts flowering. I am not sure about streching but I reckon a double size maximum. I am very satisifed with this genetics lovely and first class.
Smell is quite strong 😆
I wanna give her several days before the darkness period which is 3 days and the from next week switching to 12/12. She is FIMmed only so it doesn't really stress her to give them much extra time to recover before flowering.
I think it will be the right time to switch on the next week because I can see she really wants to flower 🌼 ☺️ 😅
But for now lamp is still 18 hours on, set to be on 150W (approx 60% of the max) ventilation is on for 10 minutes in every 2 hours but the extraction fan is 18 hours on with the lamp...
Humidity approximately is the same 50% and the temperature as well +/- 1-2 Celsius.
Water intake increased approx 0.12-0.15L per day.
Fertilization is the same Epsom salt once a week, and then 2x a week Biobizz Family included BioGrow, BioBloom, TopMax and of course - Vitalink bat gunao also.

Day 44, 2nd of November 2021:
Hi there.
So She had 2 days of darkness before the lamp was on again and from today it is 12/12.
Big change also is the power: It is now on full power which is 240W so 100% capacity.
Ventilation is different as well under the 12 hours period when the lamp is on it switches 1 hours on and after one hour off mostly to keep the temperature and of course because of fresh air flow. When the lamp is off it switches on in every 2 hours for 15 min at the same time with the extraction fan.
The extraction fan is on 12 hours when the lamp is, and then it switches on in every 2 hours for 30 min.
That's all a bit more water for her from today also. Humidity quite the same, temperature as well.
Fertilization changed, the BioBizz family raised up to be 2ml/L each so it is like 2ml/L of BioGrow, 2ml/L of BioBloom, 2ml/L of TopMax... see the ratio above.
Previously it was just 1ml per liter each.
The schedule of the fertilization has not changed happnes 2x a week except epsom salt just 1x a week.
Not much to mention as it just started.
Day 51, 9th of November 2021:
Hi there! Here we go the second week of flowering. This is the time really not much to say apart from the strech... She does it light nothing really crazy so as I expected....
Not much changed maximum a bit more water intake for her a bit raised.

Nice structure. Nothing to really say she speaks lol. Let's just wait and see haha :)
The only changes I made is the ventilation and the extraction fan is off at the same time with the lamp so only switches on when the lamp does.
So this is the set up and and operation schedule now:

Simply this is the 3rd Gelato type from RQS.
I have already grown Green Gelato and Wedding Gelato as well... lol

So I think I would give a best vote for this one.
Growing them the same 10 stars but regarding the smoke I go with Cookies Gelato 🍪
As I mentioned above 10 stars to grow and really amazing genetics. Never had a problem with her very resistant and takes all the training well. Actually I used only LST and FIMming but I feel even if I had done let's say TOPping etc. I would not be disappointed at all.
I highly recommend for novice or starter growers to deal with it because she is a beast and easy to grow.
And....
What will you get when it is done ?
Great buds, the plant even can turn a bit purple (not the flowers) and the smoke....
Bummm.
I managed to create great shape through the training sessions.
Gelatos are great strains to be trained even hard they are extremely hardy and resistant.
She is supposed to be 50% Indica and obviously 50% of Sativa strain. One thing for sure I was extremely creative and relaxed as well big points to this one.
Official Royal Queen Seeds website says:
"The hybrid strain contains both indica and sativa genetics, with effects targeting body and mind in equal measure. The head high is characterised by a rush of euphoria and a philosophical perspective. It’s almost psychedelic. The body high is less pronounced, but adds a relaxing touch.
It is also written that
"THC level of 28%. Such a high level of the psychoactive cannabinoid results in an immediate high.
A single hit is enough to induce a high that’s capable of overwhelming novices.
I did not find it that strong may be becuse of the daily smoking weed habit lol I should try after a bit of sober time if I had but nothing 😳
I would not say experiencing any psychedelic effect....
Philosophical can be and I would add creativity as well
One thing: Usually Gelatos make you cough but this one is smooth and "milky" lol.....
I really like that I was expecting a stronger throat "scracher" feeling.
I am amazed of this one and marked among my favourite ones. ❤️
Anyways very great smoke and even now curing it has that typical Gelato way I can't really explain I just have the experience with it (them) I grew 8 different Gelatos from 4 different seedbank lol
Big 10 stars for the smoke it ain't gonna change for sure but let me get back trying after I took some rest from smoking lol and I can write more I think about it.
10 to grow and 10 to smoke! You can't get disappointed if you take any of the RQS genetics I beleive.
