So here we are with my second diary because my first one didn't quite go as smoothly as I'd hoped. 2 of my 3 white widow auto seeds didn't pop so I started a GG#4 and a GSC. These are photoperiod plants growing alongside an auto so I'm gonna keep them on a vegetative light schedule for at least 6-8 weeks before switching over to 12-12. Hopefully it works out well but we'll see how it goes. I planted these directly in their final home for germination and they popped up 3 days later. I think that's how I'm gonna germinate from now on, with the white widow I used paper towels and that didn't go so well, only 1 out of 3 popped.

Day 8- They got off to a good start, I feel like these plants are gonna develop a really good root ball and produce some nice buds. Day 11- I've been watering every 3 days, which is about how long its taking for the soil to mostly dry out. I increased the amount of water I gave them from 1 to 2 liters. 2 liters might be a little much right now because I did get some runoff but I don't pour much water at the base of the plant, I basically pour most of the water in a circle around the plant. Anyway we'll see how this amount of water affects them. The GG#4 popped like 6 hours before the GSC so its a hair ahead but they're pretty much the same size. Day 14- My girls are growin strong! The GSC is doin a little better growin in evenly but I'm not sure why the GG#4 isn't; it could be the way it's sitting in the light so turned the pot just right to make sure the light was hitting the plant as optimally as possible. I gave them 1 liter of water a piece today, 2 seemed like overkill last time but it didn't have any negative effects so I'll be going back to 2 when they get a little bigger. After they grow a bit more I can start some LST and see how they respond! Thanks for checkin in and Happy growing guys!

Day 15- Everything is going smoothly so far, the GG#4 is growing unevenly which is probably why the undergrowth is moving along much faster without any training. I weighed down 2 of the leaves on the GSC to expose the undergrowth to some light. Day 17- I tied down both plants yesterday for some LST and adjusted today. The GG#4 has got a good shape in the stem, I think training her is gonna be easy but the GSC is a stubborn one. The stem is stronger, the leaves are wider and always turn back to the light and cover up the area I'm trying to expose lol, so I put the tie downs on her fairly tight today. Tomorrow is watering day and I haven't decided whether to give em some nutrients yet or wait until the next one, I'll let you guys know what I decide in the next update. Day 19- Gave em a weak 1L does of nutrient solution today and had to adjust the GSC tie downs again. Those fan leaves are super wide and keep shading the rest of the plant, I think I'll chop the lower ones off soon. Day 21- Had a major malfunction yesterday with the GG#4. I adjusted the tie downs and moved the one from the main stem a little further up. What I didn't know was that the stem would split right where the tie down was after I walked away. In the future I will leave the main stem tie down and just add another one if needed. She's healing up nicely though, that part of the branch is stiff as hell and it doesn't seem to have affected the upper growth yet but I expect that it'll help the undergrowth come up a little faster. The GSC is a little beast, her stem is so tough I would really have to try to break that one and she's only goin on 3 weeks old. I gave em both 1L of water today, I'll let em grow some more and get back to you.

Day 22- Well here we are at the beginning of week 3 and not much has changed. The GG#4 is healing up nicely, she's trying to close that split in the stem so I think it'll be healed up pretty quick. The GSC is strong as ever and moving along nicely. Next feeding will be 50% strength and after that I'll go up to 100% until I flush 'em out before harvest. Day 25- So I did a thing to see if it would help my pants. I changed the distance of the light from 18 inches to 12 inches above the plants after I gave them each 1L of 50% strength nutrient solution. If it has a negative effect I'll go back to 18 but I think this is gonna help boost 'em a little. I took the tie down off the top of the GG#4 plant to let her heal up as best as possible but I think the hole has healed about as much is its going to. It'll probably just get thicker and stronger from here on out. Day 28-Here we are at the end of week 3 and my girls have made some good progress. I moved the light back to 18 inches because I achieved the desired effect on my white widow plant from the other diary. I couldn't help myself with the GSC because she's just so strong, I FIMed her main cola to see what would happen. I hope I did it right, I'll post a pic of it for the beginning of the next week. Gave 'em both 1L of water today as well.

Day 29- Today I was lookin to see how the GSC reacted to the FIMing yesterday but there wasn't much to see. I went ahead and FIMed one more branch today but I chopped it a little higher than the other branch to see how different they come out. The GG#4 is healing up nicely and is growing like nothing ever happened. I'll report back on the next watering day. Day 31- So I'm reporting back a day early to let it be known that I made a mistake and clipped the wrong part of the plant when I tried to FIM 2 branches last time. I removed the leaves that I clipped and actually clipped the growth in the center. We'll find out in a few days how well it works. Day 32- So I watered with 1L of nutrient solution each and pretty much just left it at that. The FIM site on the main stem looks good but I still may have made a mistake on the side branch, good thing she's so strong and resilient lol. We'll find out soon if I did good or not, fingers crossed! Day 35- Well it's the end of week 4 and the at the start of the day the GG#4 is super droopy. I think I'm not watering her enough so I gave her 2L of water today as opposed to 1L because she perks up a lot after feedings. An article I read said GG#4 is a thirsty strain so I think that will do the trick. Now on to FIMing news, I still got it wrong on the GSC the second time lol I took off the messed up leaves and decided to leave those branches alone for now, it'll be ok to come back to them later and try again if I want. Since I decided to leave those branches alone for now I decided to FIM one of the other branches just to experiment and try to get it right because FIMing is pretty tricky on the GSC. Based on what I've learned from the GSC I decided to FIM one branch on the GG#4 and that's it because I know they don't like too much stress but I'd still like to see if I get it right and how it reacts. I'll update tomorrow for the start of week 5!

Day 36- Well at the start of week the only real update I have at this moment is that the GG#4 was really thirsty. I opened the tent and she had perked right up so I'm goin to keep feeding at least 1L a day for her but the GSC only drinks about half of what the GG#4 does, which is good to know for my next run of GG#4. Should have some updates later on in the week about how the 3rd attempt at FIMing is turning out. Right now I can't tell if the 3rd attempt is gonna be good but I made sure to cut off plenty of the central node this time so the foliar growth would at least stop for sure. Day 39- Here we are at day 39 and the GSC FIM site has started growing again, it looks like it's gonna turn out to be successful this time. The GG#4 still hasn't shown any new growth at the FIM site but I expect to see some soon. Watered with 1L of nutrient solution each and adjusted the tie downs for the GSC. The GG#4 is super thirsty but it doesn't seem to have deep roots because there's still water in the bottom of the pot but she still gets super droopy between waterings. Day 42- So this is the last day of week 5 and week 6 will be the last week of veg. The attempted FIM of the GG#4 just turned out to be a topping but that's all good. The GSC however is a little more difficult to tell how it's gonna turn out I'll post some pics with a question to see if I can't get some good advice. Tune in next week to see how the GSC FIM turns out!

Day 43- Well I think this is the last week I'm gonna veg my girls. The GG#4 is lookin ready for flower, the GSC not quite as much because of my FIM attempts but I should still get some decent bud sites. Watered the GSC with 1L and the GG#4 with close to 2L. The GG#4 isn't happy unless the roots are drenched, I've upped water to at least 1L a day for her; might even need to go up to 1.5L. Did some heavy defoliation and I guess you could say mainlining because I was cutting off unwanted undergrowth, then tied down some branches again. Day 46- They're looking good after I mauled 'em the other day. The GSC just doesn't stretch much at all, she's sittin at 24 inches from the light so hopefully she stretches more when I flower her. I gave them a 2L dose of nutrients each that was a little less concentrated and the GG#4 seemed to like that much better while the GSC responded well also but she hasn't been picky about nutes at all. I wanna flip em to flower at the end of the week but I just don't know if the GSC is really ready yet. I think I'll just do it and see what happens. Fingers crossed!

Day 50- Just switched my girls to a 12-12 light cycle to get this flowering process started. The GG#4 looks like its really gonna produce some good bud, I don't see the GSC puttin out too much but that's my fault. The top site on the GG#4 actually ended up giving me 8 new bud sites anyway because I got 6 new branches comin off the original branch plus the two sites from the topping. My next run I'm only gonna top my girls because it's way easier and the results were fantastic on the GG#4. I've also learned that the light needs to be no more than 18 inches from the top of the canopy because this light isn't really strong enough for it to be further away but I won't let it get any closer than 12 inches. Day 53- Haven't seen any change in my girls since switching the light cycle but I didn't really expect to yet. Expecting to see some changes closer to the end of the week though. I untied all of the their branches aside from the one that was topped on the GG#4. I want the GSC to stretch out as much as possible to try to make up a little bit of the size difference but I really don't see her catching up to the GG#4 at all. Gave them each 2L of nutrient solution today, gonna let the soil dry completely between each feeding from now on to make sure I don't get any root rot or anything. Day 55- Watered each plant with 1L of water that had blackstrap molasses mixed in. I used about 1/2 a tsp per liter, hopefully this will really help with water and nutrient uptake so I can get some massive buds. Still not seeing any signs of flowering, I'm guessing when they start flowering they'll probably develop quickly since it takes so long for them actually start flowering after switching the light cycle. Speaking of the light cycle I've actually been giving them 13 hours of darkness until I start seeing signs of flowering, at which point I'll give them an even 12-12 until their last week or two.

Day 57- Started off the week with a 1L feeding of nutrient solution that was heavier in P&K than N. For some reason I've been giving nutrient solution in the middle of the week for these girls, so from now on they're gettin their nutes at the beginning of the week. Didn't add molasses this time but I will probably add a little in the next watering. Still no signs of flowering but after looking at some other diaries I've noticed that it could really take up to 2 weeks for them to show significant signs of flowering. I'll just keep a close eye on 'em until I see a change. In other news I'm having a difficult time keeping the humidity down in the tent. I completely underestimated the size of dehumidifier I would need so that could become a problem if I don't get a bigger one soon or get some favorable dry weather on my side. Day 60- Watered the GG#4 yesterday with 2L of molasses water because the soil was already dry and the same on the GSC today. GSC won't need any water for at least 3 or 4 days but the GG#4 will probably need water again tomorrow or the day after. The pistils just started comin in on the GG#4 but still haven't seen anything from the GSC yet. I get the feeling this GG#4 is gonna be a monster, I've probably said that a few times already but she's just so damn beautiful and responds really well to training. I can't wait to do a run of nothing but GG#4.

Day 64- Well it took 2 weeks but the GSC finally started showin some pistils and the GG#4 is really starting to take off into flower mode. Raised the light up, its about 15 inches above the GG#4 and 19 from the GSC. The GSC is startin to do some stretching though, hopefully it stretches out pretty good but we'll see where she stops. Fed each with 1.5L of nutrient solution at 100% strength with some blackstrap molasses added in. The GG#4 is really starting to drink faster too, I'm wondering whether 1L of water daily would be more effective than 2L every other day. I'll post a grow question for some opinions and do some research on the matter. I'm gonna have to find something to use to put under the GSC to get it closer to the light if she doesn't catch up because this GG#4 is gonna be big even though I'm doin everything I can to limit her height. Day 67-Well now we're definitely in the flowering phase, GG#4 is 8 days in and the GSC is 4 days in. Like I said in the other journal, surgery this week so I won't be updating any more than once a week. I might even have to wait to update for 6 weeks but I'll definitely keep track of everything during that time and take pics to post when I'm able. Gave each 1L of water today, gonna check back tomorrow and see if they drink it all. After next weeks feeding I'm gonna be restricting the amount of N I give them for the flowering phase.

What do you guys think would be more effective for a plant that drinks about 1L every 24hrs? 1L every day or 2L every other day or would it even make a difference? Using 7 gallon pots if that detail helps.

It wouldn't really make a difference because technically they are the same amount just being distributed differently. I personally like to water in smaller amounts more frequently to get more oxygen to the roots. So if it was me I would do the 1 liter every day, meaning oxygen to the roots every day.

I ask because I wanna make sure I'm counting accurately for the timing of the flush. My GSC took 2 weeks of 12-12 before showing pistils so is that actually 2 weeks of flower or does 8-10 weeks of flower start from the first pistils?

When one switches to 12/12 the plant itself is still switching to flowering mode so the days in between the first sign if flowering should not count. Once flowering signs have begun then the count should start. That could take 10-15 days to show.

Day 78-Day 15 of flower for GSC and 19 for GG#4. Did some rearranging in the tent because I ordered a new flowering tent setup. I’m excited to split these two girls off from the auto in the tent and put them under 480Ws. Fed em with 2L of nutrient solution and left it at that. Day 82- After I got the new flowering tent setup I did some defoliation on my girls so they can soak up all that extra light they’re getting now. Just put em under a 480W Ecofarm LED but it’s only at 50% power for now. I’m not supposed to be doing any of this because of the surgery I just had but I just can’t bring myself to wait for someone to come around and set it up for me.

Fed with another 2L of nutrient solution at 100% strength. Did some HST on these girls yesterday and some defoliation a day or two before that. They’re lovin the extra space and light, I wish they’d had it sooner but it’s all good now.

Day 99-Day 36 of flower for GSC & 40 for GG#4. The GG#4 could be ready for harvest in about 9 days but I think I’ll give it at least 14. Started using overdrive from advanced nutrients for a late stage flowering boost, we’ll see how that works out, hopefully it makes the flowers bulk up pretty good. I fed with 3L of nutrient solution today because I feel like they can handle it, no problems so far. I might update mid week on this diary this week if I see a noticeable difference in the size of the buds if not I’ll catch y’all next Sunday. In the meantime check out my other diaries. Day 104- Day 45 of flower for the GG#4 day 41 for the GSC. The GSC is way frostier than the GG#4 but I’m definitely gettin more bud from the GG. GG will be ready to harvest very soon, like within the next week or so. The GSC is gonna go at least 8 weeks or more before I harvest it. These girls are pretty fragrant now, can’t wait to smell what the cure will bring out.

Day 106- day 47 of flower for the GG#4 and 43 for the GSC. Fed the GSC 3L of nutrient solution and stopped giving the GG#4 anything but water. I’m not gonna flush it just gonna water it like normal until harvest, also took a few branches for an early sample to see if I like harvesting earlier or later. The GSC is supposed to go for 8-10 weeks but it kinda seems like it’s gonna be ready before the GG, maybe that’s just because it’s super frosty. Day 112- Day 49 of flower for the GSC. These buds are bulking pretty nicely, idk if it’s because of the Overdrive but if so I’m definitely gonna keep using it. I think I’m gonna put it into the 48 hour dark period on day 56 and chop on day 58. I’m trying to be patient with this girl, I want her to give me a bunch of fat ass top shelf buds lol

This plant started under a 100w light so I didn’t expect to get a huge yield but it didn’t disappoint on quality. It took some damage early because of me not paying attention but it recovered well. It suffered some wind burn and heat stress after I got the new flowering tent and light. I’m gonna have to get a small A/C unit for the grow room to keep the temp down. I can’t wait to grow this strain again, I’ve got plenty of beans left so I’m gonna try to get a huge yield of top shelf bud from my next go around. Thanks for tuning in, I’ll update with a real smoke report in a couple of weeks after a good cure. Check out my other diaries and let me know what ya think. Peace!

Day 50 of flower- I started the flush today, I’ll do it 1 or 2 more times before I put in the dark before the chop. I clipped one branch to dry early because I just can’t wait to try it lol Day 54- Finally got my whole setup done aside from the portable a/c. Shit’s about to get real now that I have 2 sweet ass lights. The new one is an Ecofarm 240W so I’m expecting to get a lot more bang for my buck. Thes buds are still stackin, flushed again yesterday with 4L of plain water then 2L of molasses water.

Day 57- I’m so excited about this plant, I have to let it to day 63 at least. I want some amber trichomes on this one to get that full range of high out of it. Still no signs of em yet though, I expect that they’ll start showing up soon seeing as how this girl is pretty far along. Gonna wait for the soil to mostly dry up before I flush it one more time, it’s gettin close so I expect to do it in the next 2-3 days. Definitely giving this girl the 48 hr dark period before chop. That’s it for today, thanks for stopping by and hit that like and follow button if you wanna see how this girl turns out.

This stuff turned out great, the genetics are definitely top shelf and worth the money I spent on them. Will be ordering more from them in the future.
