So this will be the first post of this diary because unfortunately I don't have any images of the first 3 weeks, I began all of the plants under a 600watt hps, despite being cautioned about the possibility of them stretching as a result. Glad to say the sylvania grolux hasn't given me any such problems. I will be running veg nutes until around middle of week 5 then switching over.
Experiencing some ph issues with the crystal meth, stardawgs fattening up nicely and looks set to yield a relatively good amount, despite being the shortest in the garden.
As was foretold.. space has become a massive issue, nothing to do about t now however. Nutrient deficiencies have taken hold somewhat earlier than I had hoped ( likely due to the cautious feeding schedule I've been using until this week). Also my calmag supply needed replenishing and had to wait on delivery right when the deficiencies started to appear.
Just a case of damage control now.. as I expect to chop around day 70
So day 56 and the damage control appears to be working. The stink from the box even with carbon filter is pungent. The Mexican airlines smells strongly of citrus and oranges in particular, dense nugs forming and frosting all over, may well run this strain again and LST them out to their full potential! The crystal meth smells like a mixture of hazy fuel and warm chestnuts.. if you can imagine such a thing. Really impressed with the hardiness of this one (I really have them hell with ph fluctuations and calmag issues). as for th stardawg...well it hasn't given me a single issue and looks to be one of the top yielders with far top colas and Amazing smells of citrus and melons but undertones of glue. I'll be feeding overdrive until next week and then flushing till finish.
so chopped one of the Mexican airlines yesterday and it is currently hanging in the drying room, temp is 20.5C and humidity is 45%. from the wet weight of 190g I am giving a low estimate of 30g dry weight for this plant (once its been taken off the stalk etc). this was the smallest of all the plants in the garden and ripened a lot earlier than any of the others. Smells amazing! really strong citrus smell with tones of resinous glue, I'm sure when dry and cured it will be more subtle. in my haste to trim and hang the plant I forgot to take pictures but have attached what I have.
I've attached a couple of images of the Mexican that was chopped on day 60 from germ. It's now curing in jars. Smells like a sour tangerine and tastes of spicy orange. Really pleased with this one. As for the rest of the ladies, they have been on plain water since the 9/2 and will be down in the next 2-5 days, so around day 68 from germ.
Can't wait to try the other two!
Really enjoyed growing this strain, although I had a few ph issues but the plants fought through. Had to chop the entire garden a day or two earlier than planned as my humidity became a problem and I was fearing bud rot would set in. the harvest is now
So the majority is already in jars just the largest tops still hanging and will need a few more days. Smells great, really nutty with a sour sharpness. Smooth smoke, had one pheno which produced dark solid buds but the other 3 were lighter in colour and had a somewhat airier bud structure, still very resinous and smelly though.
This ran like a dream, decent yield considering the space issues I had. Will run this again in the future as I would like to see the yield given some more space and attention. Great smells and very resinous aswell
