First grow ever, trying out the paper towel method to germinate. I will be growing 1x Pineapple Express, 1x Blue Cheese and 1x Glizzy Purple all Autos. Once about 1-2cm of the root starts to come out I will transfer to 3 gal pots mixed with FFHF perilite and worm castings under LED 450w. Taking all advice and pointers!! Wish me luck🤞🏼🤞🏼
Also made it DIY germination kit with a plastic container and a plastic cover over with small holes, then I put it in a shoe box(to help with humidity maybe) and wrapped it in a towel lol (to keep it a little warm but not too hot). I even threw in a thermometer in there to monitor the humidity and temp from my phone. I’m looking at keeping it between 78-80 degrees and 75-85% humidity. Please correct me if I’m wrong
Tough week lol after some trial and error due to germinating in paper towel and placing directly into 3 gal pot killed the first seed of seeds I believe due to under watering :(
Tried germinating in paper towel this time, THEN transferred to peat pellet once root came out about 1/2 inch. Misted top and placed in a tray with a humidity dome and a heating mat, keeping temp around 81. Waiting til 2-3 leaves come up so I can transfer. Anyone know if I should be adding light yet? Or no? Thanks everyone!! If it wasn’t for ur advice I would no be here lol. 🌱🌱🌱 til next week 🙏🏼
Week 2 with a little delay. The Pineapple Express and purple grizzly are doing well. I transferred from peat pellet to 3 gal pot 2 days ago once I saw them growing. Pineapple Express and purple grizzly took well to the transplant but the blue cheese did not. Blue cheese roots were growing upward outside of the peat pellet so I cracked it open and planted in 3 gal pot. I think I may have gave her transplant shock because she stayed the same height for almost 72 hours. So I moved her to a cup with a humidity dome and heating pad at 80 and putting her in the shady part of the tent. Does anyone thing there is any hope left for her?? :(
Still waiting on my fox farm nutes to start using soon. Still debating when to introduce them. Cross fingers 🤞🏼🤞🏼
So week 2/3 is going good so far. Blue cheese came back to life after It was in a solo cup for 1.5 weeks transplanted to 3gal final pot. Since I thought blue cheese was dead i threw in one of the free seeds. So now we have another plant in the family. Bubblegum not too sure the exact strain details. Have in solo cup for now with rest of plants and going to transplant to final 3gal this week. Have been watering daily with a bend bottle about 50ml and a deep spray the next day, and alternate. Hope that’s enough?? Just started adding nutes today to the Pineapple Express and purple grizzly added about .5ml to 75ml of water for each of Fox farm big bloom. Please let me know if I’m doing anything wrong. Thanks guys!! 🌱🌱
Week 4 of spouting from the ground. Purple grizzly is showing signs of flowering. (Makes sense it’s week 4 and it’s a auto) and Pineapple Express is showing early signs as well. Waiting for bubble gum to show signs to switch to bloom lights. Blue cheese as well is showing signs but she is so stunted I don’t even think there’s hope. Thinks the plants are way too small to be flowering. Not sure why they stunted during veg and didn’t grow enough leaves :( just keeping the blue cheese in the corner honestly to see if anything comes out of it. Hopping these aren’t all failed plants :(
